Chapter 341 Yan Yan's fall and injury caused Rong Hong heartache.

"Help!" Yan Yan lost her balance and fell forward, her face filled with terror, until she tumbled to the bottom of the stairs before stopping. Her body repeatedly slammed against the walls and stairs, making dull thuds.

Lu Jia and Rong Mo rushed over and saw Yan Yan lying on the ground, unable to move. Her breathing was rapid and weak, as if it might stop at any moment.

Lu Jia stepped forward and carefully picked up Yan Yan.

"Aunt Sun, tell the housekeeper to bring the car over. Quickly!" Rong Mo immediately ordered as he saw Aunt Sun coming out with fruit.

Seeing the scene before her, Sun's mother trembled with fright, but she quickly placed the fruit plate on the nearest table and ran towards the front door.

Shen Zhi Qiu, who was on the stairs, finally came to her senses and quickly walked down. Looking at Yan Yan's pale face, she pursed her lips.

Her face was covered in scrapes, and blood was slowly seeping from the wounds. She tried to lift her arm, but found that she couldn't move it and it hung limply at her sides.

Her eyes were filled with pain and helplessness, as if she were asking Lu Jia for help.

"We're going to the hospital now. Hang in there," Lu Jia said, looking at Yan Yan and comforting her.

He knew that the most important thing now was to get Yan Yan to the hospital as soon as possible so that doctors could treat her.

"Okay." Yan Yan nodded with all her might.

"The car is here!" Aunt Sun rushed in from the doorway and shouted loudly.

Upon seeing this, Lu Jia immediately carried Yan Yan out of the villa, where the butler had already driven the car to the door.

He placed Yan Yan in the back seat, and Rong Mo quickly came over and instructed the butler, "Take Yan Yan to the Rong family's hospital immediately. Wei Qiao will meet you there."

After saying that, Rong Mo immediately took out his phone and called Wei Qiao, instructing him to arrange everything properly.

Wei Qiao hung up the phone, rubbing her aching temples in frustration. Why did another one have to come out of nowhere?

Watching the car speed along the highway towards the hospital, Rong Mo frowned and turned to walk into the house with some worry.

In the living room, Shen Zhi Qiu sat on the sofa in a daze, while Sun Ma sat down next to her with concern and a look of anxiety on her face.

"Miss, what exactly happened just now? How could you have accidentally pushed Miss Yan Yan down? She seems to be badly injured, and I don't know how she will fare." Aunt Sun rubbed her hands anxiously.

"You also think I pushed her down?" Shen Zhi Qiu's eyes were somewhat dazed, and the muscles on her face twitched involuntarily.

“This…” Grandma Sun was at a loss for words.

Anyone with eyes could see that Shen Zhi Qiu accidentally pushed her down; otherwise, could it be that Yan Yan fell down on her own?

"Aunt Sun, isn't there still bird's nest simmering in the kitchen? Go and keep an eye on it, and bring it to Miss when it's ready." Rong Mo's voice suddenly rang out from behind, clearly suppressing his anger.

"Okay." Aunt Sun quickly stood up and ran towards the kitchen.

Rong Mo strode over to the sofa opposite Shen Zhi Qiu and sat down.

Lu Jia sat down next to Shen Zhi Qiu, carefully tucking a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, gently held her hand, and whispered, "Zhi Qiu, I don't know what happened, but you definitely didn't push her down. I believe you."

Upon hearing this, Shen Zhi Qiu suddenly raised her head, gripped Lu Jia's hand tightly, and then looked at Rong Mo.

“Brother believes in you too,” Rong Mo said firmly, immediately expressing his stance.

Shen Zhi Qiu pursed her lips, and her eyes immediately reddened.

A hint of heartache flashed in Rong Mo's eyes. He leaned forward and asked in a low voice, "What exactly happened? Why did Yan Yan suddenly fall?"

“If,” Shen Zhi Qiu nervously squeezed Lu Jia’s hand, “if I told you that Yan Yan just leaned down and whispered in my ear that she would soon become the mistress of this house, would you believe me?”

Upon hearing this, Rong Mo couldn't help but narrow his eyes.

"What?" Lu Jia couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "That's what she's planning?"

“Yes, she told me herself.” Shen Zhi Qiu nodded. “But I really didn’t expect that she would lean back immediately after saying that. Moreover, I clearly saw that she leaned back on her own initiative, as if she did it on purpose. She even winked at me the moment she fell down.”

"Intentional?" Rong Mo couldn't help but be startled, and he frowned as he began to think.

"Oh no." Rong Mo stood up with some concern. "I'll go upstairs and check on Dad."

As she was speaking, she was about to go upstairs when she saw Rong Hong coming down quickly.

Rong Hong kept his eyes on the ground while his hands worked non-stop, quickly putting on his coat.

"Dad," Rong Mo called out.

"You're still here?!" Rong Hong stopped immediately upon seeing Rong Mo and Shen Zhi Qiu, and shouted sternly.

"What happened to Yan Yan?!"

"I know you all have issues with Yan Yan right now, but you can't just push her down the stairs, can you?"

What if they get seriously injured in the fall?!

"If it weren't for Yan Yan taking care of my health, I would have died of a heart attack long ago. And you all, instead of treating my savior well, you repay kindness with enmity?!" Before anyone could answer, Rong Hong launched into a tirade, severely criticizing them.

His face was flushed red with anger, veins bulged on his forehead, and his eyes blazed with fury. He pointed at the person in front of him, breathing heavily, his chest heaving with emotion.

"Dad, you've misunderstood." Rong Mo frowned, his face cold. "You didn't even wait for us to explain before you assumed it was us?"

Rong Mo's voice carried a hint of helplessness and grievance. He tried to calm his father's anger and hoped to resolve the issue rationally. He knew his father was grateful to Yan Yan, but he couldn't accept being scolded without even knowing the facts.

"What's there to explain? She's a frail woman, all alone, being sent to the hospital. And what are you doing? Are you going to say bad things about her in front of me?" Rong Hong coughed and continued to shout.

His voice was filled with heartache and anger. He remembered how Yan Yan had taken care of him, and her gentle and kind smile. Now, however, she was being hurt because of her family, which made him feel extremely guilty.

"If I hadn't gone out just now and asked the housekeeper to arrange a car, I wouldn't have known about this! The housekeeper said that Yan Yan was pushed down the stairs by Zhi Qiu and fell so badly that she can't move, but she was still speaking up for you on the phone just now, telling me not to blame you!"

Rong Hong grew increasingly agitated, and his voice became even hoarse. He was filled with guilt and regret for not protecting Yan Yan.
