Chapter 345 Rong Mo's Dilemma

Rong Mo on the other side remained silent.

Every second was torture for Chu Xia, but even more so for Rong Mo.

He sighed silently, his heart filled with indescribable sorrow.

He closed his eyes, and images of himself and Chu Xia in their youth flashed through his mind.

At that time, they were just teenagers, in the midst of their youthful innocence and naivety.

Rong Mo had always secretly loved Chu Xia and protected her; she was the only one in his eyes.

During the ten-minute break between classes, Rong Mo always liked to casually pass by the window of Chu Xia's classroom. He would deliberately walk very slowly, as if time stood still for him. He longed to catch a glimpse of Chu Xia by the window, whether she was daydreaming or writing diligently, it would stir a warm feeling in his heart.

At that time, he felt that even just looking at her from afar, even just for a glance, would make him feel content.

The love of youth is always subtle and restrained. Those feelings grew wildly in Rong Mo's chest, taking root in his heart like bamboo.

He originally thought it was just wishful thinking on his part, and he dared not hope to get a response from Chu Xia, so he could only bury this love deep in his heart.

Unexpectedly, perhaps the love was too intense, and even the heavens could no longer bear it.

One day, Chu Xia sat by the window as usual, quietly watching the scenery outside. Rong Mo, as usual, slowly walked past her window. Just as he passed by, Chu Xia suddenly looked up, saw Rong Mo passing by the window, and smiled.

That gentle and sweet smile, like a spring flower, instantly bloomed in Rong Mo's heart. At that moment, Rong Mo felt as if he were in a dream, and everything became so beautiful.

He couldn't describe how he felt at that moment; he felt as if his heart had stopped beating, and the whole world had stopped turning. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.

That smile remained etched in Rong Mo's heart for many, many years. Whenever he closed his eyes, he could recall that sweet, gentle smile from that early summer.

Their feelings for each other slowly blossomed, and the two became inseparable. Or rather, Rong Mo repeatedly indulged Chu Xia; as long as she was happy, Rong Mo was willing to do anything.

The story is beautiful, and Rong Mo feels that the days he spent with Chu Xia were truly the most beautiful time of his life.

Unfortunately, beautiful things are always fleeting, and love often reaches its peak at the very beginning.

Chu Xia was born with a love for freedom and an unrestrained life, so she insisted on leaving to see the world.

As things change, perhaps the ending was already predetermined from the day Chu Xia insisted on leaving him.

Even someone as proud as him couldn't help but lower his head, pleading with her to reconsider, at least not to be so cruel as to break up.

He said, "Early Summer, can you not leave?" His voice trembled slightly, as if his whole world had collapsed at that moment.

He said, "In early summer, I can go with you, as long as you give me a little time, okay?" He was willing to give up everything for her.

He said, "Chuxia, can you think about it some more?" His fingers held her hand tightly, unwilling to let go, as if only in this way could she not leave.

He said, "Early summer, just do it for me, okay?" His voice was full of helplessness and pleading.

At that time, Chu Xia stood in front of him, remaining silent for a long time.

He said, "I can wait for you in early summer." He lowered his head in anguish.

He said, "Early Summer, at least don't take away my right to wait for you, okay?" There was a hint of despair in his voice, as if at this moment, he had lost all hope.

Chu Xia pursed her lips and said, "Okay, then you must wait for me."

Rong Mo was overjoyed; at least, she had agreed.

For this one sentence, Rong Mo waited for early summer as if it were a faith.

During this time, Rong Mo transformed from a naive young man into the ruthless and decisive CEO Rong, capable of making decisive moves in the business world.

It's not that he hasn't met more outstanding people.

But he never wavered; he was still waiting for her.

Over the years, to avoid bothering Chu Xia, Rong Mo almost never asked anything of her. He knew she loved freedom and disliked being restrained, so he silently protected her, using his connections to take care of her without ever being stingy with money or resources. He wanted her to be happy, to be able to do what she wanted, without having to change for him.

Upon learning that she was returning to China, Rong Mo was overjoyed. He eagerly awaited her return, hoping for a fresh start and a future together. He longed for her to smile and tell him that she still wanted to be with him.

Unexpectedly, she insisted on cutting ties with him.

What awaited him was her resolute decision to completely destroy all the beautiful memories of the past. She told him personally that she no longer wanted anything to do with him; for the sake of her fiancé, she was so cruel and heartless towards him.

Rong Mo could never forget the scene of their reunion in their old apartment.

I can't forget those beautiful memories that were carelessly thrown into the trash can.

Now, she has run away from the wedding and wants him back in her arms. He feels his heart is bleeding and his dignity is being trampled on.

Want to mend a broken relationship? Easier said than done!

Their past relationship had been torn apart by her own hands, and their trust had been completely shattered. He didn't know how to trust her anymore, or how to love her. He only knew that there was no going back.

Standing by the sea in early summer, gazing at the twinkling lights of the distant city, my heart was filled with despair and helplessness.
