Chapter 348 Irreversible

"Impossible!" Chu Xia stared at Rong Mo in shock, her lips trembling slightly, her eyes wide, her face filled with disbelief. She and Rong Mo were childhood sweethearts, and she had always believed that Rong Mo's love for her would never change.

She couldn't believe that Rong Mo would fall in love with someone else in such a short time.

Rong Mo's eyes narrowed, avoiding Chu Xia's intense gaze.

He sighed and said softly, "Chu Xia, it's true, I already have someone I like."

These words pierced Chu Xia's heart like a knife, making her feel as if her heart was bleeding. Her finger trembled as she pointed at Rong Mo, her voice filled with despair: "How could you do this to me? You said you loved me!"

Rong Mo's brows furrowed slightly, and his heart trembled. He sighed again and said slowly, "Chu Xia, I loved you for many years, but our relationship is over. I've waited for you for so many years, perhaps it's just a habit."

Now my habits have changed.

Tears welled up in Chu Xia's eyes as she felt her world collapsing.

Shen Zhi Qiu curled her lip, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "Chu Xia, who do you think you are? You're already getting married, do you expect my brother to wait for you forever? Don't be so selfish!"

Shen Zhi Qiu walked to Rong Mo's side. "Brother, let's go."

Rong Mo nodded.

Just then, Chu Xia suddenly rushed over and grabbed Rong Mo's other hand. "Rong Mo, you can't go with her! You said you loved me, you can't lie to me!"

Rong Mo's face turned extremely ugly; he didn't know how to face Chu Xia's questioning. He looked at Chu Xia, then sighed helplessly.

"Early Summer, I hope you understand that there is no possibility between us anymore."

Rong Mo's voice was deep and hoarse.

Everything is beyond repair.

"No, that's not how it is!" Chu Xia exclaimed excitedly, "Rong Mo, let me explain, it's not what you think!"

"Enough!" Rong Mo interrupted Chu Xia. "I don't want to hear your explanation anymore. Please stop bothering me."

Early summer, don't make me feel like my years of feelings were a joke, don't make me hate you.

Hearing Rong Mo's words, Chu Xia gave a bitter smile, her face filled with despair and pain. She felt as if her heart was being torn apart. She didn't want to believe it was true; she didn't want to give up on Rong Mo. But it was all too late.

Watching Rong Mo and the others leave, Lin Su didn't stop them. Since things had already come to this point, there was no point in stopping them anymore.

"Clap clap clap clap clap." Lin Su clapped her hands with a cold laugh. "How interesting, Chu Xia, you're really quite the romantic!" Lin Su's voice was full of sarcasm and disdain.

Chu Xia ignored Lin Su's sarcasm; she simply stared blankly in the direction Rong Mo had left.

"Didn't you just threaten to kill yourself? Looks like that didn't work. Well, people who don't love you will find you a waste of everyone's air just for being alive." Lin Su continued to add insult to injury. Seeing Chu Xia in so much pain made him feel much better. "Besides, you should really think about how you're going to explain this to your parents when you get home. After all, all your relatives and friends came to witness your elopement today, which really made your parents lose face."

"It's none of your business!" Chu Xia cried out.

"Chu Xia, you really disgust me." Lin Su looked at Chu Xia, who was still gazing in Rong Mo's direction, and her resentment reached its peak. She sneered viciously.

"Rong Mo really doesn't want me anymore," Chu Xia murmured, staring blankly as Rong Mo's car disappeared into the distance until there was no trace left. The despair in her heart was like an invisible hand, tightly gripping her throat, making it hard for her to breathe.

Her legs trembled weakly, and her body involuntarily squatted down on the ground. Tears welled up in her eyes, and her cries grew louder and louder, as if she wanted to release all her pain and sorrow.

Seeing her like this for Rong Mo, Lin Su clenched his fists, desperately suppressing his inner rage. Unconsciously, his nails dug deep into his palms until blood flowed freely. He turned and left, unwilling to live without any dignity.

Before long, Lin Su heard the sound of running behind him. The sound grew clearer and clearer. He turned around and saw Chu Xia running quickly towards the sea. She ran faster and faster, as if she wanted to sink herself completely into the ocean.

Lin Su frowned, his heart tightening instantly, and he felt his breath catch in his throat. He stood there, torn between two conflicting emotions within him.

Hesitating for a moment, he soon saw Chu Xia rush into the sea, struggling desperately in the water. Her arms waved helplessly in the air, her body gradually sinking, as if she was about to be submerged by the sea.

Lin Su pursed her lips and couldn't help but look around. This area of the sea was already in a very remote location, and the scenery wasn't particularly good, so the beach was deserted at the moment. It was safe to say that if he didn't save her, she would surely die.

After struggling for a long time, Lin Su made a snap decision. He quickly took off his shoes, rushed into the sea, and swam towards Chu Xia. The seawater was icy cold, and Lin Su felt like his body was about to freeze. But he still used all his strength to swim to Chu Xia's side, grabbed her arm, and pulled her up.

Chu Xia had lost consciousness and her body had become very heavy; Lin Su could barely pull her. But he gritted his teeth and persevered, managing to drag her to the shore before picking her up and placing her on the sand.

Chu Xia was unconscious, and Lin Su quickly performed CPR on her until she coughed up seawater, at which point he breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at Chu Xia's pale face and frowned.

"Lin Su?" Chu Xia had escaped death, and tears streamed down her face the moment she opened her eyes. Seeing that it was Lin Su who had saved her, she felt extremely guilty. She hadn't expected that Lin Su would be willing to save her.

Lin Su regained her composure, stood up, and turned her back to Chu Xia. "I'm just afraid that I'll feel guilty if I don't help her. You don't need to worry about it."

Hearing this, Chu Xia's heart sank. She knew that her previous actions had hurt Lin Su, and that Lin Su was already very disappointed in her. However, she was still grateful to Lin Su for saving her and wanted to apologize to him, but she didn't know how to say it.

"I'm sorry, Lin Su, I..." Chu Xia was interrupted by Lin Su before she could finish speaking.

"You don't need to apologize, and I don't want to hear you say sorry," Lin Su said coldly. "You just need to remember that I saved you only because I didn't want to see you die in front of me, not because I still care about you."

After saying that, Lin Su turned and left the beach.
