Chapter 380 Trap

"Where is it?" Rong Mo was extremely excited, his voice trembling involuntarily. He pressed the speakerphone button, his fingers gripping the phone tightly, as if afraid it was just his imagination. Seeing this, Lu Jia quickly ran over.

"I'm sharing the address with you now," Wei Qiao said, sending the location. "I've already had the bodyguards stationed here send a car to pick you up. Please stay where you are."

Rong Mo said in a low voice, "Okay, you must keep a close watch and don't alert them. I'll be right there." After hanging up the phone, Rong Mo opened the address, which was only a little over twenty minutes' drive from their current location.

Lu Jia glanced at it, but his intuition told him that things were not so simple.

"I don't know why, but I feel like this isn't Xiao Wanqing's style of doing things," Rong Mo said with some doubt, his eyes fixed on the screen.

“That’s what I think too.” Lu Jia pursed her lips. “Given Xiao Wanqing’s way of doing things, she won’t let us find her so quickly. She must have some kind of scheme or trick up her sleeve. We can’t let our guard down.”

Rong Mo's expression turned serious. He knew Lu Jia was right. Xiao Wanqing was an extremely clever and cunning person; she wouldn't let herself be found so easily.

"No matter what, let's go take a look first," Rong Mo said in a low voice.

The car that was supposed to pick them up arrived quickly. Rong Mo turned on his flashlight and waved at the car.

On the bus, both Rong Mo and Lu Jia were extremely nervous.

“Mr. Rong, there are people on the ship. I saw the lights were on, and I could hear voices. But I’m too far away to hear clearly.” Wei Qiao called Rong Mo again. His voice was tense, and his fingers gripped the phone tightly, as if he wanted to crush it.

"Don't go any closer. If Xiao Wanqing spots you on the security cameras, things will get complicated." Rong Mo pursed his lips, pondering a solution. His fingers tapped lightly on his leg, his eyes fixed on the darkness in the distance, his heart filled with anxiety.

"I'll be there soon, don't make any rash moves." Rong Mo's voice was low and firm. He knew that the most important thing now was to stay calm and not let his emotions cloud his judgment. After hanging up the phone, Rong Mo's fingers were clenched tightly, his heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to burst out of his chest.

A few hundred meters from their destination, Rong Mo had his bodyguards pull the car over to the side of the road and turn off the lights. They quietly got out and prepared to walk over.

Finally, he met up with Wei Qiao. Rong Mo saw Wei Qiao hiding under the coconut tree. He signaled to the bodyguards who came with him to find a place to hide, and then he and Lu Jia quietly approached Wei Qiao.

“Mr. Rong, we’ve been keeping watch the whole time and haven’t seen anyone come in or go out,” Wei Qiao said, pointing to Rong Mo that the other bodyguards were scattered in different locations. Rong Mo nodded, then looked up at the ship. He saw lights flashing in the windows, and it seemed like someone was moving around inside.

“I’ll go take a look.” Rong Mo carefully stood up, his eyes firm and calm, preparing to walk towards the ship. “Mr. Rong, let me go.” Lu Jia subconsciously grabbed Rong Mo’s arm, his expression full of worry, “If there’s a trap, it’s too dangerous for you to go.”

Rong Mo gently brushed Lu Jia's hand away, his eyes resolute, "As her older brother, how could I let you take such a risk?"

Lu Jia wanted to persuade him further, "President Rong, let me take the brothers instead." Wei Qiao stepped forward, "I've been observing here for a long time. Even if there's a problem, I can evacuate faster. Besides, too many people going might cause trouble. I'll go scout ahead first and see what's going on. If Miss is really inside, I'll find a way to rescue her. If everyone rushes in and disturbs Xiao Wanqing, she might hurt Miss in a fit of anger, which would be troublesome."

After Wei Qiao finished speaking, he quickly walked towards the ship. He quietly looked around the left and right sides of the ship, and after confirming that he did not find anything wrong, he signaled the other bodyguards to wait below the ship to avoid alerting the enemy. He turned to Rong Mo and gave him a reassuring gesture, then crouched down and quietly boarded the ship.

Wei Qiao held his breath, carefully opened the hatch, and slowly walked inside. Every step felt like walking on a knife's edge, but he did not back down. He knew that his duty was to ensure the safety of the Rong family, no matter the cost.

Rong Mo stood at a distance, watching Wei Qiao's figure disappear into the cabin. He was on tenterhooks, his brows furrowed.

Wei Qiao went inside and saw that the lights in the cabin's reception area were not on, and the coffee table was covered with candles. So what he had seen from the outside was actually candlelight.

Wei Qiao was somewhat puzzled, and at the same time, he had an indescribable feeling in his heart. He took out the sidearm from his waist and carefully guarded himself.

Suddenly, a pink plaid scarf on the sofa caught his attention. Wei Qiao quickly walked over, picked it up, and examined it, confirming it belonged to Shen Zhi Qiu. Shen Zhi Qiu had cut off all the tassels from the scarf because she was worried it would bother the children. Wei Qiao put the scarf down, and after making sure no one was around, he walked inside. When he saw a locked door, Wei Qiao quickly ran towards it.

Suddenly, a wave crashed in, and the ship rocked violently.

Rong Mo was a little worried, and he and Lu Jia quickly ran to a position outside the ship, ready to direct everyone to rush in at any time.

Wei Qiao pressed her ear against the door, straining to hear what was happening inside. There seemed to be someone struggling, making faint noises. Wei Qiao immediately knocked and whispered, "Miss? Is that you in there?" There was no response. Wei Qiao held her breath, carefully trying to discern the sounds inside, and could vaguely make out the sound of someone being covered and struggling desperately.

At that moment, Wei Qiao smelled something burning. He turned around abruptly and found that many of the candles had been knocked over and had now ignited the sofa.

Without thinking, Wei Qiao took a step back and kicked the door open with all her might. The room was empty, except for an old radio playing music, from which came the sounds of someone struggling.

He quickly looked around and found that the room was filled with all sorts of odds and ends and old furniture, making it look like an abandoned storage room.

The next second, he realized that the spot where he was standing seemed to be flooded.

Oh no! He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, and alarm bells went off in his head. This wasn't water; it was oil!

At that moment, Xiao Wanqing's smug laughter came through the radio: "Hehe, didn't expect that, did you? I had already moved Shen Zhi Qiu. This place was just to lure you into a trap! Just wait, the real show is yet to come."

"Brother Wei! Fire!" The bodyguards closest to the ship had obviously smelled the burning smell as well. They rushed onto the ship and shouted.

Wei Qiao was also running towards the entrance, shouting as he ran, "Get out quickly! There's a fire! There's gasoline inside!"
