"Take her away!" Wei Qiao glanced coldly at Xiao Wanqing.
Xiao Wanqing looked up at Gu Qingyan approaching, a flicker of despair in her eyes. She knew she had no way out. She gritted her teeth and cried out, "Gu Qingyan, are you just going to stand by and watch them do this to me? You swore you'd always protect me." Xiao Wanqing feigned panic, her voice trembling with tears, "Qingyan, I know I was wrong! Help! They really want to kill me!"
Gu Qingyan frowned, his initial anger seemingly turning into worry in an instant. He looked at Xiao Wanqing, a hint of struggle flashing in his eyes.
Wei Qiao stared in disbelief at the woman's ability to change her expression so quickly, her facial muscles twitching involuntarily.
"Gu Qingyan, you're such a romantic! Haha." Gu Ningning had clearly noticed Gu Qingyan's hesitation and worry, and looked at him with disdain. "Even now, you still can't see clearly. Do you still think Xiao Wanqing has feelings for you?"
"Qingyan, come quick!" Seeing that Gu Qingyan hadn't arrived yet, Xiao Wanqing added fuel to the fire, crying out. Her voice was filled with fear and despair.
Gu Qingyan's heart tightened. He looked at Xiao Wanqing, his eyes filled with conflict and pain.
Wei Qiao kept a cold face, wanting to see what Gu Qingyan would do.
"Gu Qingyan, don't believe her!" Gu Ningning frowned, saying with exasperation, "She's using your feelings; don't fall for her tricks!"
Gu Qingyan approached, but didn't speak; he simply looked at Xiao Wanqing silently.
"Qingyan, then just watch them kill me." Xiao Wanqing, who was being held down, suddenly calmed down, raised her head and tears instantly fell down her face. She looked at Gu Qingyan pitifully and said, "I don't blame you."
Gu Qingyan's hand trembled. He stared intently at Xiao Wanqing, trying to figure out what she was up to.
With a loud "slap," Gu Ningning slapped Gu Qingyan hard across the face. "Wake up! This woman in front of us is trying to kill us. Don't you realize that?"
"I didn't." Gu Qingyan pursed his lips, unusually refraining from arguing with Gu Ningning, and instead stared intently at Xiao Wanqing.
The next second, he turned around, looked at Wei Qiao, and said, "Can you hand her over to me? I want to take revenge myself!"
