The two people inside the room had obviously heard the sound of something hitting the ground, and they fell silent for a moment.
Gu Qingyan quickly packed her belongings and said in a low voice, "Wanqing, don't throw a tantrum. You two should talk it out." Then she prepared to leave some space for them.
As Gu Qingyan passed by Lin Su, she clearly felt him tense up. Looking down, she saw Lin Su clenching his fists, trying hard to control himself. After a moment, Lin Su released his grip and stepped aside to let Gu Qingyan pass.
Gu Qingyan strode out of the room, then instructed Zhang Ma outside to keep an eye on the commotion inside and call security if things got out of hand before leaving with peace of mind.
As soon as he got on the bus, he took out his phone, made a call, and the other end answered instantly.
"Huang Lin, how's the matter I asked you to do?"
"Mr. Gu," Huang Lin said cautiously, "because Young Master Fu didn't see the direction the young mistress went, nor did he see any license plate or anything that could be used to track her, so..."
"Huang Lin, my patience has its limits," Gu Qingyan said coldly. "I'll give you a maximum of one more week. If you still can't find Shen Zhi Qiu's location, you should know what to do."
"Okay, Mr. Gu." Huang Lin wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and hurried back to his office to urge the technical staff.
In his search for Shen Zhi Qiu's whereabouts, he had been living and eating with a group of technicians in the office for many days, without even going home once. He had his wife call him to bring him clothes and other necessities. The last time his wife came, she told him that their daughter was clamoring to see her father and urged him to finish his business and go home.
He was helpless; who wouldn't want to go home and sleep in a comfortable bed? He glanced at the busy technicians, all of them drowsy and using cups of coffee to stay awake. He swallowed back the words of encouragement that were on the tip of his tongue; frankly, everyone was anxious. Moreover, Gu Qingyan was always generous, so everyone was working very hard.
Gu Qingyan originally planned to drive back to the company to personally oversee the technical staff, but thinking about her grandfather's condition, she turned the car around and headed home.
"How is Grandpa?" Gu Qingyan had just parked the car when she saw the butler, Uncle Zhang, walking over.
"Master is much better. He just went to the hospital for a check-up yesterday and there's nothing seriously wrong. Young Master, please don't worry."
"Hmm, are my parents home?" Gu Qingyan walked inside.
"They're all here, having a meal at the restaurant right now," Uncle Zhang said in a low voice, glancing at Gu Qingyan with some concern.
Gu Qingyan nodded and strode towards the restaurant.
"Qingyan, have you eaten yet? If not, come and eat with us." Mu Ziqi was the first to see him and looked up to ask gently.
"Bang!" Gu Suian slammed his chopsticks on the table, his face full of displeasure. "What's the point of him eating? He still hasn't found Zhi Qiu. How can he have the nerve to eat!"
Mentioning Shen Zhi Qiu, Mu Zi Qi's expression also turned sour, but after all, he was her son, and she still felt sorry for him. So she gently patted Gu Suian's hand and softly advised, "Qing Yan must be worried too. Look how thin the child has become. He must be feeling bad too. Just don't talk to him about it for now."

"Liu Ma, take the bowl back to the kitchen. The young master isn't hungry and doesn't need to eat," Mu Ziqi said coldly to Liu Ma.
Just as Liu Ma was about to place the bowl in front of Gu Qingyan, she heard these words and her hand trembled. She was a little embarrassed and didn't know whether to take it or not.
"Just take it away. I've heard that people's minds are clearer when they're hungry," Mu Ziqi said, frowning slightly.
Aunt Liu quickly took the bowls away and headed towards the kitchen.
“Dad, Mom, I went to take care of Xiao Wanqing only because her family wasn’t in the country. I was worried that she would be uncomfortable being alone in the hospital, so I went,” Gu Qingyan said softly.
"What? Is the Gu family hospital short of nurses? If you're worried, you can hire ten or eight caregivers. Are you short of money? Besides, isn't your nanny, Aunt Zhang, taking care of your Miss Xiao at the hospital? When did you ever need to take care of her yourself?"
Gu Suian frowned and pointed out the problem without any politeness. Then, with some heartache, he said, "I don't even know where my daughter-in-law is. She was so angry with you that she ran away from home and can't go back to the Shen family. I don't know if her cheap father has his brains slammed in a door.
