Shen Zhi Qiu was leisurely drinking coffee in the living room when she saw her grandfather return in a rage.
She immediately understood that Gu Qingyan must have argued with her grandfather because of Xiao Wanqing's matter.
"Grandpa," Shen Zhi Qiu said softly, standing up and walking to her grandfather. She took his arm and led him to the sofa. "Grandpa, please don't be angry. Don't hurt yourself."
“Girl, Gu Qingyan must be out of his mind, his brain must have been damaged by a door, that’s why he’s acting so stupidly. Don’t take it to heart, Grandpa will definitely stand up for you!” Grandpa blew his beard, his face ashen.
“Grandpa, please don’t get involved in this matter.” Shen Zhi Qiu pursed her lips. “You know his temper; once he’s made up his mind, he can’t change it.”
"You can't act like this!" Grandpa stopped and looked at Shen Zhi Qiu's face, feeling heartbroken. "Look how thin you've become. That boy must have upset you."
"I see!" Grandpa seemed to have suddenly thought of something. "Girl, don't go home yet. Stay at Grandpa's villa and let's see what trouble they can cause! Grandpa assures you, that Xiao Wanqing will never set foot in the Gu family!"
Shen Zhi Qiu felt a warmth in her heart. No matter what, her grandfather had always treated her like his own granddaughter. But she didn't want her grandfather to worry, so she shook his hand and said coquettishly, "Grandpa, if I lived here, wouldn't that completely fulfill their wishes? Wouldn't that give them a place to go on dates?"
Shen Zhi Qiu suddenly felt a chill. She saw Gu Qing Yan walking in, just a meter or two away from them. Although she didn't know when he had come in, judging from his expression, he had clearly heard everything Shen Zhi Qiu had said.
Hearing footsteps, Grandpa snorted heavily, glared at Gu Qingyan, and pulled Shen Zhi Qiu toward the dining room.
"Girl, come with Grandpa. The kitchen has prepared a table full of your favorite dishes. Don't let some blind people delay your meal."
Gu Qingyan followed behind without saying a word.
During dinner, Grandpa suddenly had a flash of inspiration and ordered Gu Qingyan, "You and Zhi Qiu will stay here with me tonight. I'll have Aunt Liu clean the room."
Shen Zhi Qiu was drinking soup when she heard her grandfather's words and looked at him in surprise. Her grandfather winked at her.
Shen Zhi Qiu lowered her head, somewhat helpless, but she understood that her grandfather was doing this for her sake, so she spoke up:
"Okay, Grandpa."
“Zhi Qiu will stay, but I…” Gu Qingyan coughed, about to say something, when his grandfather ruthlessly interrupted him: “It’s settled then!”
"Aunt Liu, go and tidy up the bedroom. Zhi Qiu and Qing Yan will be staying here starting tonight," Grandpa waved his hand and called the nanny over to give the instructions.
Shen Zhi Qiu's eyes widened in disbelief. What? How did it turn from one night into a long stay? She glanced at Gu Qing Yan, who was frowning impatiently as he put down his chopsticks.
Gu Qingyan had just finished eating when he urged Shen Zhi Qiu to go upstairs with a stern face.
Shen Zhi Qiu was still drinking her soup when she glanced at Gu Qing Yan with some surprise. She thought Gu Qing Yan had something urgent to attend to and prepared to put down her chopsticks and go upstairs with him.
"What's your hurry? You eat like a starving ghost is being reincarnated! Didn't you see that Zhi Qiu is still eating?" Grandpa glared at him, extremely dissatisfied.
Shen Zhi Qiu couldn't help but laugh. Because her grandfather had been a soldier, the family always ate quietly and quickly. Her grandfather also ate very quickly. He only stayed at the table to look at Shen Zhi Qiu more. His words to Gu Qing Yan just now were simply because he didn't like him and wanted to scold him.
Because of her pregnancy, Shen Zhi Qiu ate more than usual. By the time she finished eating, it was already dark. She got up to say goodbye to her grandfather and prepared to go upstairs to rest.
Grandpa smiled and told her to get some rest, then turned around and saw Gu Qingyan, whose face darkened and who left without even saying goodbye.
Gu Qingyan sighed and strode past Shen Zhi Qiu toward the stairs.
When Shen Zhi Qiu pushed open the door and entered the room, she saw Gu Qing Yan making a phone call on the balcony. The balcony door was ajar, so she could hear him clearly.
"Yes, we won't be going back tonight. Get some rest. If you need anything, just tell them to take care of it." The voice was gentle, patient, and considerate.
Shen Zhi Qiu found it extremely jarring, so she went over and slammed the balcony door shut with a loud bang.
Gu Qingyan turned around and saw Shen Zhi Qiu's departing figure.
Shen Zhi Qiu took out clean pajamas and a bath towel from the closet and went into the bathroom. Under the shower, she closed her eyes and suddenly felt that marrying Gu Qing Yan was a mistake. She also felt that she was a fool for having once been attracted to Gu Qing Yan. This marriage was a huge joke.
She knew perfectly well that Gu Qingyan had someone he loved but couldn't have, but she herself had developed some inappropriate feelings for him because of her attraction to his handsome face. Fortunately, they weren't too strong.

After taking a shower, Shen Zhi Qiu walked out of the bathroom wearing a white silk nightgown.
Gu Qingyan glanced at her, then took his own bath towel and went to take a shower.
Shen Zhi Qiu lay down in the soft quilt and casually turned off the room light, leaving only a soft glow coming through the white blinds.
She closed her eyes to rest.
After a while, she felt the space beside her sink slightly, and Gu Qingyan, who had finished showering, was lying down next to her.
She felt Gu Qingyan's breath on her nose, frowned slightly, turned over and continued to sleep.
