Upon hearing Xiao Wanqing mention her brother, Gu Qingyan's brow twitched, his fierce gaze softened instantly, and his heart was filled with reluctance and guilt. He pursed his lips, wanting to step forward and help Xiao Wanqing up.
"Wanqing!" The rooftop door was pushed open, and Lin Su rushed up like a madman. When he saw Xiao Wanqing lying on the ground, he was heartbroken. He quickly ran to her side, picked her up, and held her in his arms.
"Wanqing, what's wrong?" Lin Su glared at Gu Qingyan and Si Mingyu with eyes like knives, convinced that they must have bullied his girlfriend.
Xiao Wanqing kept her head down and didn't speak, remaining motionless like a lifeless doll.
"I overheard people passing by in the ward saying that two women were arguing on the rooftop, and one of them fell. But the area downstairs was cordoned off, so I rushed up to check. Thank goodness you're alright! Wanqing, you scared me to death! I'm so glad you're okay, so glad you're alright!"
Lin Su hugged her and gently stroked her hair, thinking that she must have been frightened, so she quickly comforted her.
“It was your mother who fell, Lin Su.” Xiao Wanqing in her arms slowly raised her head and said with a sneer, “Oh, no, she didn’t fall, I pushed her down.”
Lin Su's neck stiffened instantly. He released Xiao Wanqing abruptly, took a few steps back, and looked on incredulously.
A huge wave surged through his heart, and he felt a surge of hot liquid welling up in his throat.
Looking at Xiao Wanqing's indifferent face, Lin Su suddenly gave a bitter, sorrowful smile, and could no longer hold back her shouting, her eyes filled with resentment as she looked at her.
He clenched his fists and slammed them against the concrete ground repeatedly, like a bloodthirsty wolf.
Xiao Wanqing sat on the ground, looking at Lin Su's heartbroken appearance. She curled the corners of her mouth and said with a smile, "Hehe, why are you crying! Now that she's dead, you can finally marry me as you wish."
Lin Su was taken aback, then stood up and walked straight toward Xiao Wanqing.
Fearing something might happen, Gu Qingyan immediately rushed over and shielded Xiao Wanqing behind him.
Si Mingyu glanced at him, then took out his phone. "Hello, 110? I need to report a murder. Someone intentionally pushed someone off the rooftop. The address is..."
