Chapter 115 "You are so... stupid."

Chapter 115 "You are so... stupid."

Lin Che suddenly opened her eyes, and outside the window was an endless snowfield and the gorgeous aurora.

He propped himself up and sat up, and a soft cashmere blanket slid down on him - the one Lu Yu often covered himself with, with a familiar cedar scent.

"Awake?" Lu Yu's voice came from the side. He was wearing a casual gray turtleneck sweater and holding a cup of steaming hot cocoa with a little cream on the rim. "Just in time. Twenty minutes until landing."

"Where are we?" Lin Che's voice was still hoarse from waking up. He pointed at the flowing green light outside the window. "That's..."

"Aurora." Lu Yu pressed the hot cocoa into his hand, his fingertips gently brushing against his wrist bone. "Lake Inari in Finland."

The plane landed on the snow-covered runway. Before Lin Che could recover from the shock of the aurora, Lu Yu wrapped her in a thick down jacket.

Lu Yu carefully tied his scarf, his fingers lingering on his neck, and finally gently pinched his earlobe: "Take you to go wild."

The first stop was a reindeer farm.

Lin Che was surrounded by a herd of furry reindeer, one of which was particularly clingy, constantly nuzzling his hand. Lu Yu stood nearby, smiling and taking photos, when Lin Che suddenly pulled him into the herd.

"Mr. Lu has to experience it too." Lin Che shoved the reindeer snacks into Lu Yu's hand with a wicked grin, but was knocked off balance by the excited deer. The two of them fell into a snowdrift while laughing.

Lin Che lay on his back in the snow, his down jacket rustling against the white snow. Sunlight pierced through the clouds, casting a fine golden dust across the snowy plain, causing him to squint slightly.

Lu Yu's hand suddenly covered his eyes, his palm warm and dry.

"The reflected sunlight hurts your eyes." Lu Yu's voice came close to his ear, and his breath condensed into white mist in the cold air.

Lin Che grabbed his wrist and pulled it down, then suddenly, maliciously pushed him into the snow.

Lu Yu was caught off guard and pulled down by him, his elbows resting in the snow beside his ears, their noses almost touching.

The white mist exhaled by the two people blended together, and Lin Che saw that the snow particles on Lu Yu's eyelashes were melting.

"Murdering your own husband?" Lu Yu rubbed his red nose with his nose, and suddenly grabbed a handful of snow and stuffed it into the back of his neck.

Lin Che screamed and arched her body, and the gap between her down jacket and sweater was immediately filled with cold snow foam.

"Lu Yu!" Lin Che turned over and pressed him down, grabbed a snowball and stuffed it into his collar, but Lu Yu grabbed his wrist and pressed him under him.

As they struggled, they rolled down the gentle slope, kicking up a cloud of snow. The reindeer herd, parked at the edge of the birch forest, looked up, their bells jingling.

Finally, Lin Che lay breathless at the bottom of the snow slope, with glistening snowflakes hanging on the ends of his hair and eyebrows.

Lu Yu supported himself above him, and suddenly leaned over to kiss the snow off his eyelashes, a low laugh escaping his throat: "I caught a snowman."

The lunch bell of the reindeer farm rang in the distance. Lu Yu pulled Lin Che up and brushed the snow off his body.

Lin Che suddenly noticed that Lu Yu's scarf was loose, and reached out to help him tie it, but his wrist was grabbed.

Lu Yu guided his hand to the inner pocket of his down jacket. Hidden under the thick woolen gloves was a light pink menta rose.

"Do you like it?" Lu Yu took off his gloves and pinned the rose on the front of Lin Che's white down jacket. The light pink luster glowed like a pearl in the sunlight, forming a gentle contrast with the snow.

Lin Che looked down at the rose, her fingertips gently touching the petals, as if she was afraid it would wither in the extreme cold. "When did you prepare this?"

Lu Yu's fingertips brushed his cheek, and she smiled without replying. She took his hand and walked deeper into the birch forest. The snow crunched underfoot, and the sound of reindeer bells faded away.

Lin Che let Lu Yu lead him through a large forest. What came into view was an ice-covered lake, glittering in the sunlight.

"Is it beautiful?"

Lin Che gazed at the icy lake before him, his breathing unconsciously lightening. The lake's surface was like a giant mirror, reflecting the blue of the sky and the white of the clouds. A faint emerald hue lingered at the edges, a remnant of the aurora borealis.

"This is called Magic Mirror Lake." Lu Yu put his arms around him from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder. "Legend has it that on the first day after the polar night ends, the lake surface will reveal the image a person desires most."

Lin Che turned to look at him: "Then we came at a bad time?"

Lu Yu chuckled, his warm breath brushing against his ear. "But I think today is even more special." He pointed to the center of the lake. "Look there."

Following his finger, Lin Che discovered a small ice hole in the middle of the lake, surrounded by a circle of warm yellow emergency lights.

What is even more surprising is that there are dozens of pale pink Manta roses floating in the ice cave, faintly visible under the crystal ice.

"This is......"

"I hired three local guides and carved it out overnight." Lu Yu led him to the center of the lake. "The ice was two meters thick. They almost thought I was crazy."

"So, for the past two weeks, you've not only been busy with company matters, but you've also been arranging travel plans? You've cut back on your work schedule just to take me on this trip?"

Lin Che raised his head, and the tip of his cold nose brushed against Lu Yu's chin. Lu Yu's eyes were faintly dark, a sign of staying up late for the past two weeks.

"Yeah." Lu Yu's Adam's apple rolled as he pulled Lin Che closer to him. "After finishing work every day, I still have to coordinate my schedule with Finland."

He lowered his head and touched the tip of Lin Che's ear, which had turned red from the cold, with his lips. "Cheng Yi said I was crazy for having to arrange everything before the end of the Aurora season."

Lin Che suddenly remembered the light in Lu Yu's study late at night, the Finnish emails flashing on his computer screen, and Cheng Yi's hesitant expression.

"So you only sleep three hours a day?" Lin Che's voice trembled slightly, and his fingers unconsciously clenched Lu Yu's collar.

Lu Yu chuckled and held his cold fingers: "It's worth it."

"You are so... stupid."
