Chapter 120 Daily Life After Marriage 2 (Short clip without plot)
①
At 6:30 in the morning, Lu Yu's biological clock awoke him. He opened his eyes, and the person in his arms was still sound asleep, her cheek pressed against his chest, breathing deeply. Lu Yu gently brushed away the strands of hair from Lin Che's forehead, placed a kiss between his eyebrows, and then carefully pulled his numb arm free.
As soon as he moved, Lin Che groaned drowsily and subconsciously snuggled into his arms: "...What time is it?"
"It's still early." Lu Yu coaxed him softly, "Sleep a little longer."
Lin Che closed her eyes and nodded, but her fingers tugged at the hem of his pajamas: "...Then don't leave."
Lu Yu laughed and had no choice but to lie back down, pulling the person closer to him: "Okay, I won't leave."
As a result, the two of them overslept together.
②
Lin Che held the spatula in his hand and stared at the burnt fried egg in the pan as if facing a formidable enemy.
Lu Yu put his arms around his waist from behind and rested his chin on his shoulder: "Cheche, are you making charcoal-grilled food?"
"...Shut up." Lin Che's ears flushed. "I was clearly following the tutorial."
Lu Yu chuckled and held his hand holding the spatula: "The fire is too big."
He took Lin Che's hand and gently turned it over. "Do it this way, slowly."
Lin Che was unconvinced: "If you can do it, go ahead."
"I can do it." Lu Yu took the spatula and fried a perfect poached egg in no time. He even waved it in front of Lin Che. "How is it?"
Lin Che snorted, snatched the plate while he wasn't paying attention, and bit off half of the egg in one bite: "It's mine."
Lu Yu raised his eyebrows, grabbed the back of his head, and snatched the remaining half of the egg back with his mouth: "It's mine now."
③
On a Saturday morning, sunlight streamed in through the gaps in the curtains. Lin Che, who had rarely woken up earlier than Lu Yu, rested his chin on his hand and quietly watched the man sleeping beside him.
Her usually sharp eyebrows were now relaxed, and her long eyelashes cast a small shadow under her eyes, making her look somewhat well-behaved.
Lin Che, feeling playful, reached out and gently poked Lu Yu's cheek. No response. Then she pinched the tip of his nose. Still no awakening.
"Lu Yu, you have come to this day." Lin Che muttered softly. Just as she was about to attack his Adam's apple, she was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and pressed down on the bed.
Lu Yu opened his eyes, not even a hint of sleepiness remained. His eyes were filled with teasing: "Teacher Lin, why are you so enthusiastic so early in the morning?"
"You're pretending to be asleep!" Lin Che glared at him.
Lu Yu chuckled and rubbed his neck with his newly grown stubble: "How can we catch you in the act if you don't pretend to be asleep?"
The two of them quarreled until Lin Che's stomach growled in protest. Lu Yu finally let him go and ruffled his messy hair as he stood up. "What do you want to eat?"
"Shrimp dumplings." Lin Che's eyes lit up. "I want the same ones you made last time."
Lu Yu paused while tying his robe belt and raised an eyebrow: "That requires freshly rolled dough, which is very troublesome."
Lin Che immediately rolled over to his side, wrapped in the quilt, tilted her head back, and blinked, "My husband is the best~"
"......"
Lu Yu walked towards the kitchen resignedly, "This won't happen again."
④
"You can't buy this." Lu Yu took out a bag of spicy strips from the shopping cart, "Did you forget that you had a stomachache after eating it last time?"
Lin Che curled her lips and secretly stuffed two more packets in while he wasn't paying attention: "Just a little bit."
Lu Yu had no choice but to pick up the milk next to him: "Change to this brand, the one you usually drink."
"It's too expensive." Lin Che glanced at the price and was about to put it back.
Lu Yu held his hand and said, "Isn't the reason I make money to spend on you?"
At the cashier, Lin Che looked at the bill and was shocked: "Over 5,000 for such a small amount?"
Before he could finish his words, he suddenly discovered suspicious red packaging at the bottom of the shopping bag. Lu Yu had actually secretly bought those bags of spicy strips.
"It was just once." Lu Yu picked up the bag without changing his expression. "It won't happen again."
Lin Che smiled and bumped his shoulder. "What about Mr. Lu's principles?"
"Feed the cat." Lu Yu held his empty hand, "Let's go home."
⑤
Lin Che curled up on the sofa, wrapped in a blanket, his nose red and sneezing from time to time. Lu Yu came over with ginger tea, tested the temperature before handing it to him: "I told you not to run out on a rainy day."
"Student paper... A-choo!... I'm in a hurry..." Lin Che took a sip from the cup and suddenly frowned. "It's so spicy!"
"I added double the ginger." Lu Yu took the thermometer and said, "Open your mouth."
Lin Che reluctantly held the thermometer in his mouth, and soon frowned in pain. After Lu Yu read the temperature, he suddenly leaned over and kissed him.
"...Aren't you afraid of getting infected?" Lin Che pushed him away with a red face.
Lu Yu calmly wiped the corner of his mouth and said, "Fight poison with poison." He handed over the fever-reducing medicine and warm water, "Take the medicine."
Lin Che obediently swallowed the pills and suddenly remembered something: "Don't you have a multinational meeting this afternoon?"
"Pushed it." Lu Yu picked him up with the blanket and walked to the bedroom. "My first priority now is to take care of the patient."
Lin Che buried her face in the crook of his neck and smiled secretly. The cold didn't seem so uncomfortable anymore.
⑥
Lu Yu got up quietly and just changed into his sportswear when Lin Che on the bed opened his eyes drowsily.
"...You went running secretly again." Lin Che's voice was filled with sleepiness, but he grasped Lu Yu's wrist accurately.
Lu Yu leaned over and kissed his forehead: "You continue to sleep."
"No." Lin Che struggled to sit up, her hair disheveled. "We agreed to go jogging together this morning."
Five minutes later, Lin Che casually found a sports jacket of Lu Yu's in the closet. It was obviously one size too big for him, and the sleeves were so long that his hands were tucked inside the cuffs.
Lin Che stood at the door of the villa, yawning non-stop. Lu Yu helped him straighten his tilted hat and said, "Why don't you go back to sleep?"
"No." Lin Che took a step forward stubbornly. "I want to build abdominal muscles."
After running less than 800 meters, Lin Che was already panting and hanging on Lu Yu's arm: "Rest...rest for a while..."
Lu Yu suppressed his laughter and took him to sit on the bench. He took out a thermos from his pocket like a magician and said, "Drink some water."
Lin Che gulped down a few mouthfuls and suddenly narrowed his eyes. "I've made up my mind! I'll still touch your abs from now on. If I train on my own...it's really not worth it."
In the end, Lu Yu carried Lin Che on his back and walked back step by step.
Lin Che, lying on Lu Yu's back, squinted his eyes comfortably and thought: It's so comfortable, I'll practice again next time.
