Chapter 122 End of the text

Chapter 122 End of the text

On Sunday morning, the sun had already climbed halfway up the wall. Lu Yu's biological clock made him wake up on time at seven o'clock, even though today was a rare day off.

He opened his eyes slightly and found Lin Che still fast asleep, half of his face buried in the pillow, his lips slightly pouting, looking even softer and more harmless than usual. Lu Yu raised the corner of his mouth slightly and carefully pulled out his arm that had been resting on Lin Che's head - it was already a little numb.

He should have gotten up to prepare breakfast, but looking at Lin Che's sleeping face, he suddenly felt reluctant to leave. Lu Yu turned sideways, tracing his lover's delicate eyebrows and eyes with his eyes.

The sunlight streamed in through the gaps in the curtains, dancing on Lin Che's eyelashes and casting tiny shadows.

Lu Yu reached out and gently brushed away a strand of hair that had fallen on Lin Che's forehead. This slight movement made Lin Che wrinkle his nose and slowly open his eyes.

"What time is it..." Lin Che's voice was filled with sleepiness, his eyes half open and half closed, as if he would fall asleep again at any moment.

"It's still early," Lu Yu whispered, leaning over and placing a kiss on his forehead, "Sleep a little longer."

Lin Che shook his head, rubbed towards Lu Yu, and buried his face in his neck: "I can't sleep if you wake up..." His warm breath brushed against Lu Yu's skin, causing a slight shudder.

Lu Yu laughed and tightened his arms around him: "Then stay in bed with me for a while?"

Lin Che nodded in his embrace, her hand unconsciously resting on Lu Yu's waist. The two of them lay there quietly, listening to each other's breathing and the occasional bird song outside the window.

After a while, Lin Che suddenly looked up, her eyes sparkling. "Let me make breakfast for you today!"

Lu Yu raised his eyebrows: "Are you sure?" He remembered the last time Lin Che tried to fry an egg and ended up burning the pan black.

Lin Che punched his chest lightly in dissatisfaction: "I've been learning recently!" He turned over and sat up, his hair sticking up in a mess, the collar of his pajamas tilted to one side, revealing a small kiss mark on his collarbone - Lu Yu's masterpiece last night.

Lu Yu also sat up, hugged him from behind, and rested his chin on his shoulder: "Then I have to supervise from the side to prevent the kitchen from being in trouble again."

Lin Che turned to glare at him, only to be snatched a kiss from Lu Yu. This kiss, lazily and sweetly like waking up in the morning, made Lin Che forget to protest instantly, and the tips of her ears turned red.

In the supermarket, Lu Yu pushed the shopping cart behind Lin Che, watching him curious about the various products. When Lin Che walked in front and passed by the shelves, he would pick up and examine everything that interested him.

"Lu Yu, have you tried this new flavor?" Lin Che asked, his eyes sparkling as he turned around and held up a bag of spicy potato chips.

Lu Yu shook his head, took it and put it in the shopping cart: "You can try it."

In fact, he didn't eat snacks much, but Lin Che liked to try new flavors, so he just let him do it.

When they reached the fresh produce section, Lu Yu stopped to choose a steak, and Lin Che took the opportunity to sneak into the snack section nearby. When Lu Yu finished choosing the meat and looked back, he found a few more bags of Lin Che's favorite candies and chocolates in the shopping cart.

"Who put these there?" Lu Yu asked in a serious tone.

Lin Che blinked innocently. "I don't know. Maybe they jumped in on their own?"

Lu Yu laughed and ruffled his hair, but didn't take out the snacks. He knew Lin Che liked to eat sweets when he was stressed out at work, so he always allowed him to put some unhealthy snacks in the shopping cart.

When they reached the dairy products section, Lu Yu took advantage of Lin Che's inattention and quietly took a box of his favorite yogurt flavor.

Lin Che saw this little action from the reflection of the shelf. He smiled secretly, feeling warm in his heart.

While queuing to pay, Lin Che naturally leaned into Lu Yu's arms, and the latter put his arms around his waist.

The cashier smiled at the attractive couple and couldn't help but say, "You two are so sweet."

Lin Che lowered her head shyly, but Lu Yu thanked her frankly, "Thank you. We just got married."

In fact, they have been married for almost seven years, but Lu Yu always deliberately said "newly married" because this way he could always see Lin Che's ears turning red, and Lu Yu never got tired of it.

Sure enough, Lin Che secretly pinched his hand from below, but he held it with his backhand, interlocking their fingers.

Lin Che finally woke up in the evening and found himself lying on Lu Yu, who was looking at him with a smile.

"How long have I slept?" Lin Che asked, rubbing his eyes, his voice a little hoarse from having just woken up.

Lu Yu glanced at his watch. "Almost two hours." His fingers gently combed Lin Che's messy hair. "Did you have a sweet dream?"

Lin Che nodded and smiled as if she suddenly remembered something. "I dreamed that we had a cat. It was white and very fat."

Lu Yu raised his eyebrows: "When can we go and have a look?"

Lin Che opened her eyes wide in surprise: "Are you really willing? I thought..."

"I want to try everything you like." Lu Yu said softly, tracing Lin Che's brow bone with his fingers.

Before going to bed at night, Lin Che lay on the bed and checked various pet information on the tablet, while Lu Yu leaned against the head of the bed and replied to work emails.

"Lu Yu, look at this hairless cat, it looks so special..." Lin Che turned around and held up the tablet for him to see.

Lu Yu glanced at it, his expression a little subtle: "Like a little alien."

Lin Che laughed. "But they're said to be incredibly docile!" He continued scrolling. "And there's this curly-haired cat, which sheds very little..."

Lu Yu put down his phone and pulled Lin Che into his arms. "Let's talk about it tomorrow after we go see the real thing, okay?" He turned off the bedside lamp, leaving only a small night light. "It's time to go to bed now."

Lin Che obediently put down the tablet and snuggled into his arms: "Good night." He pecked Lu Yu lightly on the lips.

Lu Yu deepened the kiss before letting him go: "Good night, Cheche."

In the darkness, the two of them slept in each other's arms.

Lin Che listened to Lu Yu's steady heartbeat and thought that this was probably the most reassuring sound in the world.

Lu Yu gently stroked his back until his breathing became long.

Tomorrow is another new day, full of unknown possibilities.

But one thing is certain - they will face it together, just like they always have, just like every day in the future.

【Some things I want to say:】

Will Lu Yu and Lin Che quarrel?

meeting.

Will they cheat on each other because of who washes the dishes?

meeting.

Will President Lu continue to write love letters in the project book format?

Absolutely.

But I know it, just as you know it.

When Lin Che was caught eating ice cream in the middle of the night, he would shove the spoon into Lu Yu's mouth with a clear conscience.

When Lu Yu worked overtime for three consecutive days, he would be wrapped in a blanket like a dumpling and forced to rest on the sofa.

Let your imagination continue these trivial, heartwarming, and even somewhat childish daily lives.

Thank you all for your company over the past month. That’s the end of the story.

Thank you for taking the time to explore this story, and thank you for every thoughtful comment.

Meeting you is a good omen, I wish you all the best.

May we all meet our own good fortune beyond the story.

Love you guys, see you next time.
