Chapter 20: Horse Racing Tour

Chapter 20: Horse Racing Tour

"Uncle Che, do you want to go to the horse farm?" Lin Che ran down from the second floor and bumped into Lu Yu'an.

Lin Che, with a red face and ears, looked at Lu Yu'an and Lu Jinshu, feeling even more at a loss. He licked his lips and stood in the middle of the stairs, not coming to his senses.

Lu Jinshu immediately noticed Lin Che's red, bleeding ear. Anyone with a discerning eye could tell it was her brother's masterpiece.

"Come on, let's go to the horse farm together." Lu Jinshu invited Lin Che.

"Let's go, together." Lu Yu appeared behind him at some point, his hands in his trouser pockets, and he naturally passed by Lin Che.

..........

"Uncle Che, come here!" Lu Yu'an held the small saddle and waved at him excitedly.

Lin Che had just taken a step when the sound of crisp horse hooves suddenly came from afar.

A sleek chestnut horse came galloping from a distance. The young man on the horse had an upright posture, and the sunlight gave him a golden edge.

"Mr. Lu, what a rare guest." The young man pulled the reins and dismounted swiftly.

He took off his rider's hat, revealing a handsome face with slightly raised corners of his eyes, showing a bit of free and unrestrainedness.

Lu Yu nodded slightly: "Xu Bai."

Zhou Xubai handed the reins to the stable boy, but his eyes fell on Lin Che.

"Who is this?"

"Hello, my name is Lin Che." Lin Che, who was standing next to him, felt the scrutiny on him and took the initiative to introduce himself.

"Hello, nice to meet you."

"Mr. Zhou, this is not the first time."

Lin Che's tone didn't change at all, but it made several people freeze in place at the same time.

"I met you on your eighteenth birthday."

Zhou Xubai subconsciously looked at Lu Yu's reaction, he didn't know how to respond.

I didn't expect that Lin Che, who seemed so non-aggressive, would be so straightforward.

"No... I'm sorry. It's been too long... I can't remember clearly." Zhou Xubai touched the hair on the back of his head embarrassedly.

"Zhou Xuran is your brother, right?" Lin Che's face showed no emotion, and her fair and beautiful face just stared at Zhou Xubai.

"Do you know Xu Ran?" Zhou Xubai was a little surprised and looked towards Lu Yu frequently, afraid that he might say something wrong and make this living father jealous.

"Zhou Xuran is my graduate school classmate. But... could you do me a favor?"

"Hahahaha... This... what a coincidence. Help!? Of course! I'll do anything for you!!"

"Then please tell him not to send flowers to my clinic every day. It's really bothering me."

Lin Che's words exploded among the group like thunder.

Lu Yu suddenly remembered the bouquet of red roses he had seen before.

"Ah!" Zhou Xubai was speechless for a moment. Lin Che's words had left him feeling completely devastated.

"I...I'll go back and talk to him." He turned around and was about to ride away, "Lu Yu...um...I have something to do, so I'll leave first!!"

"Teacher Lin, you're quite lucky in love!" Lu Jinshu said jokingly to the two of them.

"Let's go," Lu Yu's voice was emotionless, but a little deeper than usual, with an unyielding tone, "Don't you want to learn horseback riding?"

Lin Che was still immersed in the embarrassment of Lu Jinshu's teasing. Hearing this, he looked up and met Lu Yu's deep gaze. His heart trembled inexplicably and he nodded subconsciously.

Lu Yu personally selected a docile chestnut mare for him and patiently instructed him on how to approach, comfort, step into the stirrups and mount the horse.

His movements were professional and smooth, and his explanations were clear. But when his large hands firmly supported Lin Che's waist, helping him mount the horse, the warmth and undeniable sense of strength from his palms instantly penetrated the thin fabric of his shirt.

Lin Che's body stiffened slightly, and the blush on his ears that had just faded away was showing signs of returning.

"Relax, keep your back straight, and look straight ahead." Lu Yu's voice sounded from behind him, and his warm breath brushed against his earlobe.

He held the reins and guided the horse slowly forward in the paddock.

Lu Yu's hand would occasionally cover the back of Lin Che's hand holding the reins, briefly adjusting his posture. Each brief and firm touch seemed to carry a tiny electric current.

Lu Jinshu had tactfully taken Lu Yu'an to play on the other side, leaving the two of them and the horse behind, moving slowly in the setting sunlight.

After an unknown amount of time, Lu Yu stopped.

"Try to make it trot a few steps?" he asked, his eyes full of encouragement.

Lin Che took a deep breath and gently squeezed the horse's belly according to Lu Yu's instructions.

The chestnut mare meekly quickened her pace and broke into a trot.

The wind instantly blew across my cheeks, bringing the scent of grass and horses, and the view also broadened.

Lin Che was a little nervous at first and held the saddle ring tightly, but soon, under Lu Yu's steady gaze, he gradually found the rhythm, his body swaying slightly with the ups and downs of the horse's back, and an unprecedented sense of freedom and pleasure arose spontaneously.

The setting sun completely sank into the distant horizon, dyeing the sky into a magnificent orange, red and purple.

Lu Yu signaled Lin Che to stop.

"Look over there." Lu Yu's voice was low and gentle.

Lin Che reined in his horse and followed Lu Yu's gaze.

They were currently standing on a slightly higher slope at the edge of the horse farm.

Before our eyes is an endless grassland that stretches all the way to the distant horizon and merges with the gorgeous sunset.

The cool evening breeze ruffled the sweaty hair on Lin Che's forehead and also blew the hem of his clothes, revealing his fair lower waist.

Lin Che sat quietly on the horse's back, gazing at the setting sun with his eyes slightly narrowed, feeling the horse's warm body temperature and steady breathing beneath him. This moment was truly a moment of unprecedented relaxation.

Lu Yu did not urge him, but just stood aside, gazing at Lin Che in the sunset with a serious look.

The sunset glow gilded his figure, the evening breeze blew his soft hair and clothes, and his eyes, looking at the distant pasture, were clear and distant, as if he had merged into this world.

At this moment, Lin Che lost his usual aloofness, revealing an almost transparent purity that was breathtakingly beautiful.

Lu Yu's heart felt like it was gently bumped by something, and it felt soft and swollen.

His Adam's apple moved slightly, and in the end he just gripped the reins tighter. The tranquility at this moment was precious enough.

Endless grassland, gorgeous sunset, and the person on horseback gently embraced by the sunset.

Lu Yu stood quietly, imprinting the scene deeply in his eyes.
