Chapter 194 Let’s Go Find Dad
Ning Xin returned home, but no one was at home. Ning Ze had gone to see Ning Tao, and Ning Heng had gone to the company. Zhi Yan saw her and rushed over. Seeing Ning Xin's red eyes, he asked, "Mom, what's wrong with your eyes?"
Ning Xin touched her son's face and broke down crying again. The little guy didn't understand why, and he cried just as Ning Xin was crying. The servants were frightened by the mother and son.
"Miss, what's wrong with you?"
Ning Xin reacted and quickly wiped her son's tears and comforted him. Zhi Yan imitated him and wiped her tears, "Baby, I'm sorry, Mommy is fine, don't cry."
Zhiyan nodded obediently and hugged her neck tightly.
Ning Xin's cell phone rang, but she didn't dare to answer it. She thought of the man lying in a pool of blood, and tears fell from her eyes.
The maid was very frightened. When Zhiyan saw her like this, he burst into tears. Ning Xin instinctively hugged her son and didn't dare to think about it.
This was the scene Ning Heng saw when he came back. He walked over to Ning Xin and hugged her in his arms, "Okay, okay, don't cry, Fu Beicheng is fine."
Hearing this name, Ning Xin looked at Ning Heng blankly as if she had regained her soul, "He's still in the intensive care unit, he'll be fine, won't you go see him?"
Ning Xin's heart sank to the bottom again when she heard this.
Ning Heng said, "Go and see him, so that you won't regret it."
Ning Xin stepped into the hospital again. Since she reunited with Fu Beicheng, she had been to the hospital the most. The pungent smell of disinfectant was everywhere.
Fu Chuan and Zhang Sen appeared in front of her, their eyes red, looking at her with complicated emotions.
Zhang Sen said, "Ms. Ning, I want to talk to you."
Ning Xin nodded. In the quiet corridor, the two stood facing each other. "Ms. Ning, no, you should call me Madam. The CEO has always cared about you. He deliberately distanced himself from you because he was afraid that Bai Yuwei and the others would hurt you. He imprisoned you because he didn't want you to get hurt."
"The day you were kidnapped, the president mobilized all his forces, determined to find you at all costs. But by the time we arrived, we were already too late. We all thought you were gone, especially the president, who looked like a walking corpse."
"After you disappeared, Bai Yuwei confessed everything. She tricked the president into saying 'Kill the hostage,' and then deliberately had the kidnappers play it back for you. Actually, the president went crazy looking for you after he knew you were kidnapped. The kidnappers never called you at all. Bai Yuwei tortured him beyond recognition, and I heard he died of illness in prison."
Ning Xin listened to his words with empty and numb eyes, and her vision gradually became blurred.
"I know you blame the CEO, but he hasn't had a good day in these years. He's only focused on work and hasn't experienced life in a single day. Furthermore, his health is poor, so every day is painful for him."
"You and the president lack communication, and your relationship is becoming increasingly strained. If the president can still wake up, I hope you can have a good talk."
Ning Xin curled up in the quiet corridor and listened to Ning Heng say that whether Fu Beicheng could survive depended on this night.
Her fingers curled up weakly, and her body was shaking. Ning Xin walked to the front of the ward and saw the three words "ICU" on the light. She retreated, feeling very scared. Ning Heng encouraged her, "Let's go."
Ning Xin shook her head, turned around suddenly and ran out of the hospital. She was scared, scared that he would die just like that, scared to see him lying motionless.
It seemed like someone was calling her from behind. Ning Xin ran forward regardless. Her vision was blurry, but after blinking, everything became clear again.
I don’t know how long I ran, but gradually I felt that everything around me was revolving around me, and then the world fell into darkness.
Ning Xin woke up the next day. She curled up there, not asking any questions. She just stared blankly with empty eyes.
Ning Heng and Xu Meng walked in and found that she was awake. Xu Meng rushed towards her, "Xinxin, how are you?"
Ning Xin didn't move, just kept her eyes open.
Xu Meng, "Xinxin, don't scare me. You still have us and your precious son."
Ning Xin's pupils shrank and she looked at her, "Is he dead?"
Ning Heng pulled Xu Meng away. The girl was too stubborn to speak. "No, Xinxin, Fu Beicheng made it. The doctor said he will recover slowly."
Ning Xin suddenly broke down and burst into tears, hugging Xu Meng and crying heart-wrenchingly.
Xu Meng patted her shoulder and said, "Don't cry, don't cry, be good."
Ning Xin still didn't have the courage to go see him, so Ning Heng took her home. Ji Ze also came back, looking a little haggard, but the first thing he cared about was Ning Xin. "Daughter, now that you remember everything, face it bravely."
Ning Xin nodded. Ning Ze looked at her, who had lost a lot of weight, and felt distressed. "Daughter, you are already a mother. You must face it bravely. Whatever happened three years ago is in the past. We must look forward to it."
Ning Xin's eyes suddenly turned red again. Ning Ze hugged her, just like when she was a child and he comforted her every time she was wronged. "It's okay, it's okay. It's all in the past. Dad and brother are here."
Ning Xin stayed at home with her son for several days. She heard that Fu Beicheng had woken up, but she did not go to see him. She did not have the courage to see him.
Zhiyan saw his mother in a daze every day and knew that she was unhappy, so he would take his toys to cheer Ningxin up.
But at night, my mother would have nightmares and call out a name called Fu Beicun. After it happened so many times, Zhiyan remembered it.
One day while eating, he asked Ning Heng, "Uncle, who is Fu Beicun? Did he bully Mom?"
"Fubei Village?" Ning Xin was confused for a moment before reacting and looked at the little guy.
"What are you going to do if he bullies your mother?" Ning Heng teased her deliberately.
"Beat him." Zhi Yan said incoherently.
Ning Heng smiled and rubbed his hair, "Zhi Yan, do you want to have a father?"
Zhiyan looked at his uncle.
Ning Heng smiled and looked at the little one's cute expression. "Mom has been unhappy recently. We should cheer her up and let her go find Dad, okay?"
Zhiyan only understood the two words "unhappy with dad and mom" and nodded with bright eyes.
Ning Xin sat on the bench in the yard in a daze, "Mom."
When Zhiyan's grandmother's voice came, she turned around and saw the little guy holding a bunch of sunflowers in his hand, stumbling towards her. Ning Xin caught him, and Zhiyan handed the words to Ning Xin, "Mom, let's not be sad, okay? Mom still has the baby."
As he said that, he kissed Ning Xin on the face, his voice small and cautious, "Mommy, let's go find daddy, okay?"
Ning Xin always told him not to mention his father because the little guy was afraid that she would be angry.
Ning Xin was stunned for a moment, looked down the corridor, and knew that it was Ning Heng who asked the little guy to do this. Looking at the little guy's expectant eyes, Ning Xin nodded.
"good."
