Chapter 225: Storm is Coming

It was raining, and the air was filled with an inexplicable melancholy. The wind was blowing so hard that it seemed to tear the entire sky apart without any cover.

Outside the Los Angeles Church Building, General Bailey arrived with a team of soldiers holding an umbrella. He looked up at the sky and then at his watch. However, it was around four in the morning. He felt a little unhappy, but his expression did not change much and he walked into the building.

Archbishop Wilson is in the building now, and he is no longer the one who calls the shots in Los Angeles.

Bailey had no idea what was going on. He only knew that something big seemed to have happened tonight. Archbishop Wilson flew to Los Angeles overnight and convened a high-level church meeting there. It seemed that the situation was very serious.

As for what exactly happened, Bailey didn't know. He just knew that he was pulled out of bed in the middle of the night and asked to attend a meeting here.

"Mr. Bailey, this way."

As soon as Bailey arrived at the first floor of the building, before he even got on the elevator, someone was already waiting for him: "This meeting will not be held on the ninth floor."

Bailey was stunned when he heard this, then he immediately became serious and asked, "Second floor?"

"Yes."

After getting the accurate answer, Bailey hurried up the stairs without even thinking about taking the elevator.

Ordinary small matters in the church are usually handled by the church itself, and are basically held on the first or fifth floor. Major matters will be concentrated on the ninth and tenth floors, and only matters related to life and death will be held on the second floor.

This time the meeting was held on the second floor. What happened? Could it be that a Level 5 Transcendent appeared in the Federation? !

Others didn't care, but Bailey was the most anxious.

What is his identity? He was the former supreme commander of the Western Front of the Federation, and later came to the Church's side to "go against the odds". If the Church was defeated by the Federation, others might be pardoned, but he would definitely not be.

It is precisely because of this that Bailey is so devoted to the church, planning everything for the church with all his heart, managing Los Angeles in an orderly manner without any omissions, and making Los Angeles soon become the first city on the Western Front because of the extraordinary people.

If a level five transcendent person really appeared in the Federation, it would undoubtedly be a huge blow to the church!

This blow is enough to bring the church to collapse!

When Bailey hurried here, he found that all the fourth-level extraordinary people in the back had gathered here, and Archbishop Wilson was sitting on the main throne.

The archbishop looked very listless, with dark circles under his eyes, and it seemed that he had not had a good rest for many days.

After Bailey arrived here, he nodded to Archbishop Wilson, found an empty seat and sat down, then began to wait for the meeting to begin.

After Bailey, three more level four transcendents came. Finally, everyone was together and they were ready to start the meeting.

"Everyone, at 11 o'clock last night, we received a letter for help from Texas. Andre, a Level 4 Transcendent from Texas, has died. His death was extremely ugly, and not even his entire body was left."

Wilson held his chin with both hands, glanced around at the extraordinary people present, and spoke slowly, as if he wanted to see other people's reactions.

When others heard the news, they were stunned for a moment, but they quickly reacted and were a little at a loss.

Bailey was the first to raise his own question: "A Level 5 Transcendent has appeared in the Federation, and is he planning to start in Texas?"

"No, the federation also received a letter for help from Texas."

Wilson shook his head: "It's a monster. A monster with strength comparable to that of a level 5 transcendent has appeared."

Hearing Archbishop Wilson's words, Bailey felt relieved at first, but soon tensed up again: "Level 5 monster? This is incredible. What should we do?"

Although nothing happened to the Federation, there was a monster equivalent to a level five transcendent, which was also a very powerful obstacle!

In today's world, if there were no ancient extraordinary people, none of these new generation extraordinary people would be able to match a level five extraordinary person!

What made everyone present even more uneasy was that they would most likely have to face this monster alone.

I don’t know when it started, but the ancient supernatural beings that used to appear in endlessly suddenly died down. Only occasionally people saw some creatures that were only recorded in myths and legends in the mountains and forests. The gods and monsters that used to destroy the world on a large scale have long disappeared. It seems that it started from the moment the demon apostles and the demon lost contact.

"I just communicated with the strongest person in the Federation, and they agreed to suspend our fighting. We should first kill the monster that is equivalent to a Level 5 Transcendent, and then make a decision."

Everyone present did not know how powerful a level five transcendent was, so the Federation and the Church took a cautious attitude and chose to join forces.

There should be more than thirty level four transcendents on both sides, all of whom come from all corners of the world. If more than thirty of them work together, they should be able to defeat a level five transcendent, right?

Archbishop Wilson said in a deep voice: "But this is not very safe. The Freedom Guardians of Texas have already sent out requests for help to the Tang Kingdom, Europe, and some other supernatural organizations from small countries. However, if they succeed, it is estimated that the number of Level 4 supernaturals should exceed fifty."

There should be only about seventy level four superhumans in this world, right? If more than fifty of them could gather at once, it would be considered the prosperity of the superhuman world. Two-thirds of the high-level superhumans would gather here. No matter how powerful a level five monster is, it would be killed by so many superhumans, right? !
