Chapter 30: The Last Mercy

Chapter 30: The Last Mercy

It took half a day to calm Ayin down and arrange for two members of the organization to take care of her before the Scorpion Girl felt at ease to leave and deal with other things.

Before they crossed the long corridor and reached Yu Ze's room, a new problem arose that required the Scorpio woman to step in and solve.

Xu Jingzhe suddenly opened the door and walked out of Yu Qingmeng's room. He looked anxious, his eyes full of anxiety: "Boss, have you seen Mengbao? I didn't see her when I came back. She didn't come back for a long time, and she didn't answer the phone when I called her."

The Scorpio girl was stunned for a moment, and suddenly remembered that she had forgotten this. She cleared her throat and replied, "I arranged for her to lead the team on a mission yesterday. She probably didn't bring her phone with her. Calculating the time, she should be back tonight."

After calming Xu Jingzhe down and asking him to go home and wait patiently, the Scorpion Girl walked towards Yu Ze's room again.

Before I had taken a few steps, I heard a call from behind.

"Boss!"

The scorpion girl sighed helplessly and turned to look at the leader who was running towards her: "Boss, you are finally back. I was looking for you for something."

After that, the leader took out a stack of documents from the special space and handed them to the scorpion girl: "These are the lists of supplies that are currently lacking in the base. Some of them are only sold in the upper-class residential areas, so I dare not let the captain-level members go out to buy them."

The Scorpion Girl sighed again and took out the supplies she had purchased last night from the special space. "The supplies here can last for half a year. There are also 3,000 gene enhancement syringes. Please put them in the laboratory for me. Don't put them into use for the time being."

"I understand." After the leader put the supplies into the special space, he left quickly.

Watching the leader's footsteps gradually moving away, the Scorpion Woman stood there and looked around, thinking: No one should come over again, right?

After standing for a while and seeing that no one was coming, the Scorpio Girl turned around and prepared to go to Yu Ze's room.

"Boss!" The call came from behind again.

The Scorpion girl slapped her forehead, turned around helplessly and asked, "What's wrong?"

"The traitor in the interrogation room is still waiting for you to interrogate him." The leader looked at her with clear yet stupid eyes.

"Can't you interrogate him yourself?" asked the Scorpion Woman.

The leader shook his head slightly and explained, "The second leader said he would wait for you to interrogate him personally."

"What about that guy Yu Ze? Doesn't he have arms, legs, or a mouth?" The scorpion girl frowned and asked unhappily.

"The Second Chief said he's been busy lately. While you're away on this mission, there are a lot of things waiting for you to handle at the base."

Hearing the leader's words, the scorpion girl couldn't help but grit her teeth. She forced a smile and said, "Okay! Lead the way!"

Inside the interrogation room.

The three members who were abducted to the Shepherd Organization along with Yu Qingmeng had their wrists and legs tightly bound with thick iron chains.

They all had scars of varying sizes on their bodies, and their eyes were as empty as a pool of stagnant water.

The Scorpion Woman pulled a chair over and sat down in front of the three of them. Although she was clearly in a lower position, she still carried the aura of a superior.

"Now that you're here, don't even think you can get out without asking." The scorpion girl took the tea handed to her by the leader, pulled off her mask to reveal her lips, and took a sip. "Tell me, what benefits did they offer you?"

Even if they don't say anything, Scorpio women can guess roughly that what superior men can give them is nothing more than money and a chance to be their slave toys.

"He said... as long as we tell him about Yu Qingmeng, then... he can let us serve the upper class..." the woman standing in the middle answered.

The Scorpio woman was not surprised by the answer.

"Is it worth doing this?" the Scorpio woman asked coldly.

The woman standing on the right sneered and looked up at the Scorpio woman. "As long as I can bear a child with a superior man, I will enjoy endless wealth and glory in the future. Why is it not worth it? Someone as high and mighty as you will never understand us!"

"Being pregnant with a superior person's child?" The Scorpio woman laughed disdainfully: "A child born from inferior genes is just garbage to the superior people. The boy is discarded, and the girl is kept and cultivated into the next you."

"Is this what you call worthwhile?"

The woman standing on the left retorted, "What do you know! Even if I'm just a plaything, I'm still hundreds of times better than a servile inferior!"

"Why do you people always think about rebelling! We want equality! Isn't this kind of life good!!!" She struggled violently, as if trying to break free from the chains and bite the still calm Scorpion Woman.

After thousands of years of slavery, the Scorpion Girl did not expect them to be inspired to rebel in just a hundred years. However, as someone who had always been fighting on the front line, she felt a little sad when she heard this.

"What about those lower class people who fight for equality? Their sacrifices and efforts are all for you to have a better future. I hope you can live in a world where equality is not tarnished!"

The Scorpion Girl calmed down her anger and continued, "Is their sacrifice so insignificant to you?"

"That's because they're stupid! They just want a better position!" The woman standing in the middle laughed crazily. "You guys are scum! You're ants! You're just doing good for the lower class for your own selfish desires!"

"If it weren't for the rebellion led by your first leader, Scorpion Tail, we wouldn't have been subjected to the fire of the superiors! We wouldn't have been ravaged! Even if I had to be a slave for the rest of my life, like discarded garbage! I would be willing to do that!"

The anger that had been suppressed rose again, and for a moment the Scorpio girl didn't know whether to be angry or feel sad for the three of them.

The thoughts of these three people reflect the thoughts of the vast majority of inferior people. They are all human beings, but they are willing to be tortured and insulted...

The thought of persuading them again was suppressed in her heart. Scorpion Girl slowly stood up and said to the leader beside her: "Don't ask any more questions, just deal with them all."

"Forget it, blindfold them and throw them into the lower-class area," said the Scorpion Woman, then turned and left.

Not killing them is the last mercy of the Scorpio woman. At least their targeting is limited to herself and does not harm others.

This may be the retribution mentioned in the book, and it is what she deserves.

After adjusting her mood, the Scorpio girl went to Yu Ze's room again.

I wasted a whole day and haven't had time to discuss the next deployment issues with Yu Ze. I hope there won't be any more troubles later.

Along the way, the corridors were exceptionally quiet, without any urgent shouts or people suddenly appearing to block the way.

The Scorpio woman successfully arrived at the door of Yu Ze's room. She knocked on the door gently first, and when there was no response, she opened the door.

The house was cleaned by Yu Ze. It seemed that he had not messed around during the few days he was away.

"Yu Ze," the Scorpio woman called out in a louder voice.

"This..." A weak reply came from the bedroom.

She opened the bedroom door and walked in, and saw Yu Ze lying weakly on the bed, his face flushed red.

"Are you sick?" The Scorpion woman placed her hand on Yu Ze's forehead. "Your temperature is around 39 degrees Celsius. Have you seen a doctor?"

Yu Ze nodded: "I have taken medicine. This is how the bodies of inferior people often get sick. I just need a night's rest."

"You came to see me suddenly, is there something wrong?"

Glancing at his slightly sickly face, the Scorpio girl shook her head and replied, "It's okay, I just... haven't seen you for a long time, so I came to see what you were doing."
