Chapter 28 Thank You Mr. Spider
As night approaches, lights are turned on in every house.
In a building in a small southern town, a fox was lying on the bed in her tiny bedroom. Wearing a miniskirt and loose short-sleeved shirt, she was chewing potato chips and flipping through an adult romance novel that she had bought from somewhere.
The ringing of the cell phone made Han Wenwen nervous when she saw the caller's number.
As she expected, Aunt He called.
She carefully found the recorder from under her pillow and answered the phone: "Hello? Auntie?"
Aunt He simply asked, "Wenwen, is Qingqing with you?"
Han Wenwen sat up and leaned against the head of the bed, lying without blushing: "Well, she is in the bathroom, do you want her to say a few words to you?"
Aunt He responded: "No, I feel relieved as long as I know she is with you. It's just that I'm bothering you to live in your house again."
"You're welcome, Auntie. I occasionally stay overnight at your house, don't I? I'm happy for her to come to my place."
Aunt He nodded and smiled: "Okay, then you two can have fun. I'll call and ask. If you have nothing to do tomorrow, come to my place for dinner."
"Okay, bye, auntie. Bye."
After hanging up the phone, Han Wenwen breathed a sigh of relief and then called He Qing again.
She lay on the pillow with a smirk on her face, and answered the call meaningfully, her tone full of tenderness: "Xiao Qingqing? What are you doing? You should have run into your good brother, right?"
On the other side, He Qing was having dinner with Lin Zhengran at a noodle restaurant. When she answered the phone, her face flushed and she whispered, "We are having dinner. How is your situation? Did my mother call you?"
"I did, but Auntie didn't think much of it. Just go on the date without worry."
Xiao He Qing retorted shyly: "What date? We just met." She found Lin Zhengran looking at her, and said to her best friend embarrassedly: "Okay, I won't talk to you anymore. Thank you for covering for me today. I will go back tomorrow. Hang up."
"Well, I won't disturb you guys anymore. Have fun." Han Wenwen hung up the phone. She put down her phone and stared at the snow-white ceiling.
She said to herself, "It's so romantic to meet my childhood sweetheart after traveling thousands of miles after not seeing him for several years." She thought of the chance encounter at the bus station when she was traveling in the north half a year ago. Han Wenwen blinked her fox eyes twice: "Is that boy...really my future boyfriend?"
She picked up the romance novel expressionlessly and continued to read: "I always feel it's a bit magical. After all, would I really like a boy?" She didn't take it too seriously.
In the noodle shop at Xinchun Bus Station, Lin Zhengran paid for his meal.
Taking little He Qing, we walked away from the bus station. There were many hotels around the bus station for passengers taking long-distance buses to rest.
Little He Qing followed him with her small schoolbag on her back, passing by one crowded hotel after another.
When they reached the door of a small hotel that didn't look busy, He Qing stopped and whispered, "This one doesn't look busy, so there should be a vacant room."
Lin Zhengran, who was walking in front, didn't understand what she meant at first, but when he saw her shy look, he immediately reacted.
He pulled her face in anger and said, "You still want to stay in a hotel, right? Do you have any common sense?"
Little He Qing's face was slightly hurt by the pulling. She closed her eyes and didn't realize that she had said something wrong again: "Aren't we staying in a hotel? I have my ID card. I have stayed here with my mother before."
"What's the use of having an ID card! Do you know how old you are?! You want me to come in, right?"
Little He Qing really didn't understand this time. She covered her painful face with a silly look in her eyes. Mosquito snorted, "What do you mean by going in? I didn't ask you to go anywhere."
"I'm too lazy to explain to you." He turned around speechlessly and continued walking forward: "It's definitely impossible to stay at the main hotel, so just find a random place to make do tonight."
"Hey, wait for me, so we can't stay in a hotel? I really don't know, where should we go then?"
Fortunately, it was summer, so she wouldn't freeze to death on the street late at night. If it was winter, Lin Zhengran would definitely not run to meet this silly girl.
He went to a small supermarket and bought two blankets. After searching around, he finally found a dilapidated yard with several scrapped vehicles, iron waste, and a lot of weeds.
Lin Zhengran jumped over the wall and found a scrapped car with its glass intact. He opened the door and took a look, and thought it was pretty good.
He went back to the wall and stretched out his hand: "Come up."
He Qing held his hand and climbed over the wall with him, and the two of them walked to the scrapped car.
Open the door.
The inside of the car is very clean because there is no wind. There is only a thin layer of dirt. You can just put something under it and sit on it.
Lin Zhengran put a blanket on the back seat. "Just stay here for tonight. You can take the bus back tomorrow morning."
Little He Qing nodded obediently. She felt that it didn't matter where she was, as long as she could be with him.
She even helped Lin Zhengran spread the blanket: "It's all my fault. You have to sleep here tonight."
Lin Zhengran glanced at her and said, "It's good that you know, but it's just this once. If you ask me to do such a boring thing as running all the way just to meet you again, I won't come."
"Well, definitely not, because we will be seeing each other all the time in the future."
As the night deepened, this huge abandoned compound was actually quite scary. It was pitch black all around, and there were constant sounds of frogs and other insects in the yard.
But with Lin Zhengran around, little He Qing didn't even feel scared, and even felt warm in this small space.
He opened the bag and took out a carefully crafted little dessert, a swan-shaped chocolate sandwich.
"Look, this is the gift I prepared for you. Is it okay?"
Lin Zhengran thought it was pretty good. It was similar to the one they had eaten when they separated that year, except that it was a little smaller. It could also be because they had grown up. “How long did it take you to learn this?”
There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!
"It took a long time." She said as she opened the box. "At first I had no idea how to make it. From making the shape to adjusting the taste, it took me several months. I was lucky to get it right this time. I tried it again later and it didn't look good either." She handed the dessert to him: "Here, try it and see how it tastes."
Lin Zhengran broke off a piece and put it in his mouth, while little He Qing stared at it expectantly.
After a while, Lin Zhengran chewed and sighed: "You are much better now than when you were a child. It's delicious."
Little He Qing bit her lower lip and laughed.
"Really? Then I'll try it too."
Little He Qing chewed the chocolate and looked at his face: "By the way, won't your uncle and aunt ask you if you spend the night outside?"
Lin Zhengran said, "Oh," and took out his phone. "I called them on the way here, so I'll call them again now to reassure them."
He simply called his parents and said, "Mom and Dad, I saw He Qing. Do you want to talk to her? Okay, I'll give her the phone."
"Ah? I still have to say hello." Little He Qing picked up the phone in a panic: "Auntie and uncle, um, I met Lin Zhengran this afternoon, it's okay, you don't have to worry"
After the call, Xiao He Qing was surprised: "How dare you tell uncle and aunt directly that you came to find me?"
"I'm a boy, so I'm definitely more assured. Of course, I also lied about some details, otherwise they would let me out?"
Little He Qing stared at him blankly. She felt that Lin Zhengran was still Lin Zhengran: "Thank you for coming out to see me."
We chatted briefly for a while, and because there was a blanket under my butt, I could only cover myself with one.
The blanket is very big, but He Qing wants to sit with Lin Zhengran and cover herself with it. If they separate, it will not keep them warm.
But she didn't dare say it.
As I was sitting there at a loss, I suddenly saw a huge spider lying on the car window, spitting out spider silk, which was very scary.
Little He Qing was so scared that she screamed and subconsciously crawled towards Lin Zhengran's shoulder.
Lin Zhengran knocked on the glass to scare away the spider: "There are a lot of bugs at night. If you are scared, stay closer to me."
Seeing that he closed his eyes and was sleeping, little He Qing responded by moving her butt to sit very close to him. Seeing that he did not react, she carefully put her head on his shoulder. Feeling the warmth of Lin Zhengran's shoulder, she closed her eyes, covered herself with the blanket, and felt devout gratitude in her heart.
"Thank you Mr. Spider."
The big spider under the car looked back, as if saying, these two humans are really scary late at night, I have to stay away from them.
Eight legs crawling rapidly.
