Lu Dongjue woke up in the middle of the night because of the heat.
It felt like there was a scorching furnace in his arms. When he woke up, he realized that Yun Suiwan had a fever.
She rolled around restlessly in his arms, her little face flushed red.
Lu Dongjue quickly got up and took out the handkerchief that was soaking in water. He wrung the handkerchief until it was half dry, folded it, and placed it on Yun Suiwan's forehead.
After moving around like that, his hands got cold.
His large hand directly grasped her small hand in his palm.
“Mmm…” Yun Suiwan let out a comfortable sigh.
"Mr. Lu, I'm so hot." Yun Suiwan opened her eyes and looked at him with a hazy gaze.
"Yes, you have a fever now. You'll feel better once your fever goes down."
"Am I going to die?" Yun Suiwan asked in a hoarse voice.
Lu Dongjue took the water bottle and fed her some water. He said gently, "You'll be alright. I'll always be by your side."
Upon hearing this, Yun Suiwan smiled and then whispered, "Dreaming is so wonderful; you can have anything in your dreams."
After saying that, she drifted off to sleep again.
Lu Dongjue didn't delve into the meaning behind her words, but carefully changed the handkerchief on her forehead again and again.
Yun Suiwan had a high fever, and her pink lips were now dry and chapped, while her cheeks were as red as a red apple.
Lu Dongjue's cold hands were warmed by her hands in no time.
He frowned, hoping nothing would happen to Yun Suiwan.
Lu Dongjue initially placed a handkerchief on her forehead, but later he began to try wiping her body to cool her down.
He wiped his armpits first, then his chest, three times in a row.
Seeing that Yun Suiwan had stopped complaining of feeling unwell, he then covered her with his clothes again.
After taking care of Yun Suiwan, he went to the cave entrance to stoke the campfire.

He sat down next to Yun Suiwan and first bent down to check her ankle, which was swollen.

Lu Dongjue tucked her clothes in, then hugged her before falling asleep peacefully.
Yun Suiwan slowly opened her eyes, tilting her head up and carefully looking at his features.
She had a fever, but she was still conscious and knew what she had done.
Lu Dongjue, you have forgotten me, but I have not forgotten you.
So, you won't get angry if I use a little trick on you, right?
Yun Suiwan found a comfortable spot in his arms and fell into a deep sleep again, completely satisfied.
It's just a minor fever; what could possibly happen to her?
She simply wanted Lu Dongjue to take care of her.

Lu Dongjue woke up at daybreak the next day.
The first thing I did upon opening my eyes was to check on Yun Suiwan's condition.
She didn't seem so hot anymore. A large hand checked her neck and found that her fever had subsided!
At this moment, Yun Suiwan also slowly woke up.
She looked at him blankly, seemingly not yet realizing where she was.
"Miss Yun, are you feeling any better?"
"Hmm." Yun Suiwan nodded gently. Her fever had subsided, but she didn't seem to be in good spirits and looked listless.
"It's good that the fever has gone down. I'll go get some fish now, we'll have it for breakfast later."
As he spoke, Lu Dongjue sat up, but when he stood up, he realized that Yun Suiwan's undergarments had been taken off at some point.

Lu Dongjue squatted by the stream, treating his nosebleed.

Yun Suiwan limped over to him, but she did not accept his hand.
Lu Dongjue couldn't help but look at her, "What's wrong?"
Yun Suiwan pouted, looking aggrieved, "You saw everything?"
"..."
Lu Dongjue pursed his lips, his pupils contracted slightly, how was he supposed to answer that?
"You touched me last night too, didn't you?" Yun Suiwan said, as if she was about to cry.
"No! Miss Yun, I promise, I really didn't!"
Yun Suiwan looked away and sniffed. "It doesn't matter anymore. In your eyes anyway, aren't I just that kind of promiscuous and shameless woman?"
Hearing her self-deprecating words, Lu Dongjue couldn't help but frown.
"It's okay, just think of me as that kind of person."
After saying that, Yun Suiwan turned to go back to the cave.
Lu Dongjue grabbed her wrist.
Yun Suiwan gave a wry smile. "What are you doing? Wasn't last night enough? Do you want me to take off my clothes now?"
“Miss Yun, I misunderstood you before. You don’t need to belittle yourself like this. I sincerely apologize to you again. It was all my fault.”
Yun Suiwan raised her hand to wipe away the tears on her face, and said with a smile, "What does it matter? I don't care."
Her nonchalant demeanor pierced his heart like a needle.
"Mr. Lu, please let me go."
Lu Dongjue not only didn't let go of her, but gripped her tightly again. "Miss Yun, you had a fever and chills last night. We were being honest with each other just to save our lives."
It's certainly intriguing that a lone man and woman would engage in such behavior, but it's all about self-preservation.
"You have a girlfriend." Yun Suiwan looked directly at him, her eyes filled with tears.
