Chapter 705 Mutual Testing

"This girl got cheated on, how pitiful."

"Being cheated on before even getting married, I don't know if it's bad luck or good luck."

"Isn't it better to know someone well before getting married, so you don't have to wait in line again after marriage?"

"That mistress is quite classy. Men, after all, are visual creatures."

"That man looks alright too. That's just how the world is; some are drowning in wealth, while others are starving."

"..."

The staff couldn't help but grimace; good heavens, the registration hall had turned into a vegetable market.

She said to Huo Beichen, "Why don't you think it over before you come, so you don't have to wait in line next time?"

"Sometimes, people make mistakes, but mistakes come at a price. You should think about it carefully."

She was looking at Hua Fei when she said this.

The meaning is quite clear: Huafeng is the fault of Huo Beichen.

Hua Fei was surprised that Sun Xiaowei would pull this stunt; it was completely out of character for the Sun family's daughter.

However, how could she know that she and Huo Beichen came to get their marriage certificate today?

It's likely that Huo Beichen deliberately leaked it to Sun Xiaowei!

It's not impossible that they conspired to pull this stunt!

“Mr. Huo, Miss Sun is truly devoted to you,” Hua Fei probed, “Even I’m moved. Perhaps we should postpone getting our marriage certificate…”

She anticipated that Huo Beichen would readily agree to the offer.

After all, Huo Beichen would never genuinely want to get a marriage certificate with her.

If that's really the case, she'll be extremely grateful.

However, just as she picked up her ID card, Huo Beichen pressed her hand down.

"Please leave, Miss Sun." He glanced at his assistant.

Then he smiled at Hua Fei and said, "There are many women who are deeply in love with me, it won't affect our marriage registration today."

He pushed Hua Fei and his ID card in front of the staff, saying, "Please help us get married."

Huafei: ...

Huo Beichen is too deep a thought; she can't quite figure him out.

After Sun Xiaowei was "invited" away, the hall returned to silence.

"Click!"

"Click!"

The sound of the staff stamping steel seals echoed one after another, like hammers striking Huafei's heart.

Huo Beichen's face was also gloomy.

The assistant's claim is completely untrue.

There is a person named Hua Fei in the system.

Huafei is not a fake identity.

Finally, the formalities were completed.

She now held a small red booklet in her hand.

"Happy marriage, Mrs. Huo." Huo Beichen held his little red marriage certificate and looked at her with a half-smile.

She lowered her head and exhaled, without saying a word.

"What, haven't you always dreamed of marrying me?" Huo Beichen asked.

“When a dream suddenly comes true, it needs a buffer period,” Huafei replied.

“Okay, I’ll give you a grace period,” Huo Beichen glanced at his watch, “Five hours should be enough, right?”

He suddenly leaned in, his hot breath spraying all over her cheeks: "I hope you'll be ready when I get home tonight."

He deliberately emphasized the pronunciation of the word "prepare," giving it a peculiar, pungent odor.

Hua Fei was stunned, and her tender cheeks immediately turned red.

Huo Beichen turned and got into his car, a triumphant smile on his lips.

He's declaring war on her!

Marriage is not the end, but the beginning of them figuring out each other's true nature!

Huafei clenched his fists tightly.

She fought him to the death!

The car drove forward in silence.

The assistant finally couldn't hold back any longer and said, "Mr. Huo, I really didn't expect that Hua Fei's identity was real!"

Huo Beichen didn't blame him, but instead asked, "Who can turn a fake identity into a real one?"

My assistant has done this before. While it's not impossible to get it done, it's very difficult and troublesome.

Moreover, it doesn't stand up to close scrutiny.

Huo Beichen tapped his fingers lightly on his knees as he pondered.

The assistant said gravely, "If you really get a marriage certificate with Miss Hua, the Sun family won't let this go easily."

"What stage is the project between the company and the Sun family at?" Huo Beichen asked.

"We're waiting for the Sun family's fifth and largest investment," the assistant replied.

"Mr. Huo, what if the Sun family backs out and doesn't pay?" another assistant asked worriedly. "That would be a major blow to our project."

"Let's wait until they really change their minds," Huo Beichen said dismissively.

Then he said, "Go to Dean Li's office and get me the materials he has prepared. I need to see them within an hour."

An assistant immediately got out of the car and rushed to the hospital.

After meeting Dean Li, he successfully obtained the report.

He couldn't resist asking, "Dean Li, may I ask what this report is?"

"What's different about women who have given birth?" Dean Li replied.

He was taken aback. "These are the documents Mr. Huo requested? Dean Li, are you sure you didn't get the wrong ones?"

Dean Li laughed heartily, "Don't worry, apart from your General Manager Huo, no one has asked me for any documents during this period."

"And apart from him, no one else has ever asked me for this kind of information."

"By the way, I also wanted to ask you, what does your CEO Huo need this document for?"

The assistant stammered, "Well, I don't know."

...

The little red booklet sat on the table, and the three words "marriage certificate" on it were particularly glaring.

Huafei looked away.

A-Yue picked up the little red book, flipped it open, and looked at the photos inside. "Not bad, not bad," she nodded repeatedly. "The groom is handsome and the bride is beautiful. Aren't you going to post it on your WeChat Moments?"

Hua Fei rolled her eyes at her.

Fortunately, Zeze was already fast asleep and didn't hear her nonsense.

"I congratulate you on your marriage! What's troubling you?" Yue asked.

“He told me to wait for him tonight,” Hua Fei replied.

"Why are we waiting for him?" A-Yue suddenly realized, "To wait for you to enter the bridal chamber!"

"Keep your voice down!" Hua Fei quickly covered her mouth and dragged her outside.

Thankfully, Zeze wasn't woken up.

"Stop talking nonsense!" Hua Fei said softly as they reached a corner of the corridor.

"I'm not talking nonsense," A-Yue scoffed. "You two are legally married now, isn't it perfectly reasonable for you to have a wedding night?"

Hua Fei pursed her lips tightly. "He will definitely consummate our marriage, but not for that reason. He wants to investigate me."

"What are you investigating?"

“I’ve given birth, and I have a line down the middle of my stomach.”

Ah Yue forgot about this.

She's doing pretty well; she didn't get any stretch marks.

However, the line left in the middle of my belly during pregnancy has not completely faded away.

Even though she had used many medications, there were still marks visible upon close inspection.

“He won’t stare at your lower abdomen,” A-Yue shook her head. “After all, right now, in his eyes you’re just an older woman who’s never been married.”

But Hua Fei didn't dare to take the risk. "I had a strong feeling that he married me for the same reason I wanted to, in order to test me further."

"He had been suspicious of me for a long time."

"Besides, the stripe on my stomach is only one aspect; he will also verify me in other ways."

A-Yue steeled her heart: "So what if he gets suspicious? It's no big deal if he finds out you've had a child. Who says you can't marry him if you've had a child?"

"Just deny it then, refuse to admit it even if it kills you, and he won't be able to do anything about it."

Just then, footsteps sounded, and someone was approaching.

Hua Fei turned around and saw that the person who came was the butler.

"Miss Hua..." The butler suddenly remembered something and quickly changed his words, "Madam, the master has returned. Please come and have dinner with us!"
