Chapter 111

Facing the morning sun, Liu Meiyu opened an umbrella and took her three sons out.

Wang Xiuying and her daughter Tiantian waited at the gate of the compound for a few minutes, and then they saw three boys wearing exactly the same suits walking out, surrounding Liu Meiyu, who was particularly eye-catching.

Liu Meiyun wore a white short-sleeved top with a beige long skirt underneath, and her hair was casually tied up at the back. She had a slim figure and delicate features, especially her pair of watery almond eyes, which seemed to be filled with a pool of spring water, sparkling and moving.

"You are so particular. No wonder you look older and older while others look more and more beautiful."

Wang Xiuying's eyes revealed envy.

Since Liu Meiyun got married and followed the army to the island, her three sons have now graduated from elementary school. After so many years, she really doesn't look old at all. Not only can you hardly see any wrinkles on her face, but because she dresses more and more fashionably, she looks brighter and more beautiful than when she was young.

"This is the result of my acquired efforts, but you, sister-in-law, are naturally beautiful." Liu Meiyu smiled and boasted back.

"Come on." Wang Xiuying waved her hands, her tone resolute, "I am old and ugly. I have been a mother for many years. How can I still be naturally beautiful?"

She knows best her own weight.

Unlike Liu Meiyun, whose facial features are pretty, except for her face and figure being a little rounder during pregnancy and childbirth, she has been on the island for so many years, applying lotion every day in winter and wearing a sun hat when going out in summer. She lost weight a few months after giving birth, and I heard that she still exercises every day.

In the past, those people on the island secretly said that Liu Meiyu was too particular and acted like a capitalist lady. But now, at the age of 30, she behaves like a 20-year-old girl. If she walked on the street, who would believe that she was the mother of three children!

"Sister-in-law, I'm serious. You are already good-looking. Your facial features are there. If you dress up a little, you will definitely be much more beautiful than me."

Although there was some polite exaggeration in her words, what Liu Meiyun said was sincere.

Wang Xiuying was originally from an art troupe. When she was young, she was a beauty in the troupe, with bright eyebrows and eyes, and a very elegant appearance.

“Is this true or false?”

Wang Xiuying got on the bus and listened to the beautiful words that Liu Meiyu said with such sincerity. She couldn't help but feel a little moved.

After all, every woman likes beauty, especially with a living person like Liu Meiyu in front of her to stimulate her every day.

"Of course it's true." Liu Meiyu said sincerely.

Wang Xiuying smoothed her hair and looked at Liu Meiyun's brightly colored skirt. She herself was wearing a dark blue workwear short-sleeved shirt. Then she had an idea. "Meiyun, I'm going to send Tiantian to the Children's Palace later. Why don't you take me to your store to pick out a couple of clothes? You have good taste. Can you help me with some advice?"

"Sure." Liu Meiyu agreed readily. She was planning to take her sons shopping today anyway.

When they arrived at the Children's Palace, they first sent Tiantian to the ballet class, and the mother and son watched at the door for a while.

Tiantian changed her clothes and stood at the edge, following the teacher's warm-up exercises seriously.

With chubby arms and legs and a round belly, her movements are not very coordinated and even a little funny. But the little girl's confident and serious expression makes her adorable no matter how you look at her.

Not everyone can perform ballet like radio gymnastics.

Wang Xiuying watched her daughter dancing and thought of Liu Meiyun, the professional next to her. She smiled awkwardly and said, "It was her father who insisted on enrolling her in this class, hoping that she would be more refined."

"As long as she likes it, that's good." Liu Meiyun smiled, and seeing Erbao leaning against the window and watching seriously, she asked tentatively: "Do you want to learn with Tiantian?"

"I don't want to." Lu Erbao shook his head decisively, and his whole body, including his expression, showed the word "rejection".

If Tiantian hadn't insisted that he come and see, saying that she had no motivation to learn alone, he would not have come over. But when he came over and saw that it was indeed only girls dancing, he was even less willing to agree.

"Tiantian, learn it by yourself. I'm going to go back." While Tiantian was warming up, Lu Erbao planned to slip away.

"Lu Erbao, are you my best friend now?" Zhou Tiantian grabbed him and was angry. She danced so hard just now just to attract Lu Erbao to learn with her.

"Yes, I am." Lu Erbao nodded firmly, but then he looked embarrassed: "But I really can't dance like yours."

"How will you know it works if you don't try? Besides, I can teach you. It would be great if we learn together." Zhou Tiantian coaxed the second child, who was her best friend and the one who listened to her the most, with a bright smile.

She just wanted to get someone to learn with her so that other girls wouldn't laugh at her for not dancing well.

"Your own dance is different from theirs, how can you teach them?" Lu Erbao questioned very seriously: "I see, isn't what you are dancing the radio gymnastics of our school?"

He gestured a few times as he spoke: "I already know how to do this..."

Silly Lu Xiaobao followed his brother and agreed: "Yes, sister Tiantian, if you want to learn radio gymnastics, why do you come here to learn it?"

"puff--"

Although she was talking about her own daughter, Zhou Xiuying, the mother, was the first one who couldn't help laughing out loud.

Zhou Tiantian's face turned red when she realized what was going on. Her cheeks puffed up with anger. She glared at Lu Erbao and his brother with her black grape eyes, "Humph! If you don't want to learn, then don't learn!"

"Tiantian, don't listen to their nonsense. Auntie thinks you dance the best."

Liu Meiyun pushed the two brothers aside, rubbed the little girl's head, and encouraged her with a smile: "Even if Tiantian is doing radio gymnastics, she is the best dancer. No matter what others say, just be happy. Anyway, Auntie thinks Tiantian dances the best."

"Aunt Meiyun, is it true?" Tiantian asked innocently with her big watery eyes.

"Of course it's true." Liu Meiyu nodded without hesitation.

Confidence is always the most beautiful.

Seeing the beautiful and gentle Aunt Meiyun praising her, Zhou Tiantian's puffy cheeks finally subsided a little. Finally, she glared at Lu Erbao fiercely, her eyes seemed to say "I'll settle the score with you when I get home!", and then went back to the classroom to continue practicing dancing.

Lu Erbao, who realized belatedly that he had said the wrong thing, touched his nose and hid behind Dabao with an innocent look on his face, his eyes flickering between his mother and Aunt Xiuying, as if he knew that he would definitely give Liu Meiyun a lesson next.

Only Lu Xiaobao was unaware and pulled Liu Meiyun's sleeve to urge her: "Mom, hurry up, let's go buy some rackets."

"Buy, buy, buy. You've been talking about it all morning. It's not like I won't buy it for you. Why are you in such a hurry?" Liu Meiyu was pulled far away by her youngest son by the arm. This kid eats so much, but he only grows strength but not brains.

"Mom, walk slower, I can't walk fast!" Dabao fell behind, holding his butt and shouting at Liu Meiyu pitifully.

Wang Xiuying was watching from the side as Liu Meiyu had to deal with three energetic and jealous guys all by herself. She clicked her tongue and shook her head. This blessing was really not something that ordinary people could afford.

She had heard "Mom" so many times along the way.

Liu Meiyu, who was already used to it, had already developed a set of "blocking" techniques. No matter how the three brothers urged or made a fuss, she and Wang Xiuying would walk slowly behind.

Until Xiaobao walked to a classroom in the middle, he refused to move and stood at the door looking for a long time.

Liu Meiyu walked out for a while and couldn't call him, so she came back to urge him.

Lu Xiaobao lay on the door frame and looked at several ping-pong tables set up in the classroom. There were children about his age playing against each other in pairs.

He was so fascinated that his eyes followed the ping-pong ball from side to side, and he wished he could squeeze his head into it.

A tall kid was swinging his racket when he saw Lu Xiaobao standing at the door. He walked over, opened the door, and said in a not very friendly manner: "What are you looking at? You are disturbing our training by standing here."

"I wasn't looking at you." Lu Xiaobao curled his lips and continued to stare at the table at the back. The racket-holding posture made him feel unfamiliar and curious.

"You have to look at me too. Our coach will come and kick you out!" The boy saw Lu Xiaobao clinging to the door frame and refusing to leave. Several of his classmates in the classroom were distracting their attention and staring at him, so he pushed him out of the door without any hesitation.

"Hurry up and leave, or I'll be rude to you." The tall boy pushed the man out of the door and waved the racket in his hand threateningly.

The boy is much taller than Lu Xiaobao and looks like a junior high school student.

However, Lu Xiaobao was not afraid at all. He just stood there and refused to leave, craning his neck to continue watching.

"What? You want to play too?" The tall boy laughed at him contemptuously: "Can you hold a racket? Can you serve the ball?"

"I can." Lu Xiaobao ignored him and wanted to take a closer look at the novel racket-holding posture.

The tall and thin boy sneered, his face full of disbelief: "Really? How good are you? Do you dare to compete? If you lose, just leave quickly and don't cry."

Lu Xiaobao hesitated for a moment before saying, "I didn't bring my racket today. I'll go buy one later."

"Haha..." The tall and thin boy couldn't help laughing after hearing this, and called out to his friends behind him: "You are just bragging, you don't even have a racket, but you still say you can play basketball, you are such a liar."

"I already know how to do it!" Lu Xiaobao snorted angrily, "I'm not lying. My racket is broken. I'll buy a new one later!"

"Then hurry up, you liar!" The boy and his friends laughed and chased Lu Xiaobao away.

Lu Xiaobao lowered his head, staring at the tall and thin boy with his dark eyes, his pupils full of burning flames.

"I'll lend you this racket."

Suddenly, a male voice came from behind, and a pair of tennis rackets were handed to Lu Xiaobao. He looked up and saw a strange uncle.

"Coach Chu."

The children in the classroom saw the man and greeted him.

When Liu Meiyu came over, she saw Xiaobao holding someone else's racket, standing at the classroom door with a high-spirited look on his face.

"Xiaobao." She called out.

"Mom!" Xiaobao turned his head and waved to his mother.

Then the next second, holding the racket given by the strange uncle, he stood at the table tennis table, looked at the tall and thin boy who had provoked him before, and urged: "Don't you want to compete?"

The tall and thin boy, who had just been acting like a big shot, now became as obedient as a rabbit when he saw Coach Chu in front of him. He smiled but didn't dare to say a word until Coach Chu said, "You try playing against him," then he stood to the other side with his racket.

When Xiaobao was holding the racket with flames still dancing in his eyes, Dabao and Erbao also caught up.

Although I didn't know what happened, when I saw my younger brother playing basketball with someone who looked a few years older than him, the desire to win between the boys was instantly ignited.

"Come on, brother!" Lu Erbao shouted.

Dabao didn't shout, but his eyes were full of encouragement.

Liu Meiyun and Wang Xiuying just stood aside and watched silently. It was not appropriate for adults to interfere in the children's affairs. Besides, it was such a healthy sports competition, which was much better than watching him fight.
