Chapter 4 Spirit Stone and Divine Stick

"Ma! Beautiful stones!" The children returned again, bringing back not only shells, small shrimps and crabs, but one little boy, about four or five years old, even brought back a few beautiful little stones. The children respected and loved Ma Yue, the little priest, and were willing to show off their gains in front of him.

Oh my god! Ma Yue's eyes widened. Spirit stones! Water-type spirit stones that shimmered with a blue rhythm. Ma Yue took these beautiful water-type spirit stones, his hands trembling with excitement.

What exactly is a Spirit Stone? It's the most fundamental resource for cultivators. It's imbued with spiritual energy, and its density and purity are undoubtedly superior to the spiritual energy contained within the universe, making it ideal for cultivation.

In his previous life, Ma Yue practiced with his master for thirty or forty years, and had only seen a spirit stone once.

"Where? Take me there. If you find me, I'll give you half of my meat tonight!"

"Yeah!" the little boy said excitedly. When it comes to food distribution for children from disadvantaged groups, the last thing they get is meat!

The little boy took Ma Yue and ran away. He had to go no matter how far he went. The spiritual stones were related to his future career in cultivating immortals.

I ran to the beach and continued running north. After running for about ten minutes, I arrived at a cliff at the edge of a large jungle (the cliff was not high, only about one or two meters, and the higher it got the further north I went).

"Horse! Look!" The little boy went to a corner of the cliff...

Ma Yue had already collected hundreds of spirit stones, scattered on the ground and on the cliffs, without much effort. Next time, he'd bring an axe (if he didn't have an iron axe, stone or bone would be a good option, right?) and, after a little hammering, he'd probably be able to collect thousands more.

Ma Yue was very loyal and collected a lot of spirit stones. He carried the little boy back home. At dinner, he got a large piece of pheasant and, keeping his promise, gave half of it to the little boy as a reward.

The little boy was so excited that he almost cried. It was possible that he had eaten fish before, but he probably had never eaten such a large piece of animal meat in his life.

It was late at night and everyone had almost gone to bed. Ma Yue walked into the small cave inside and found the totem.

"Ma!" The old priest looked at Ma Yue in surprise. If Ma Yue was not an important priest, the old priest would not enter the small cave inside.

"The Sea God said that he needs to practice!" Ma Yue took out the 'Sea God' amulet as usual and practiced in the small cave inside, where it was quiet.

"Oh!" The old priest, though he didn't understand the meaning of the new word 'cultivation,' watched Ma Yue enter the small inner cave, sit cross-legged, and mutter to himself. The Sea God must be talking about a very mysterious form of sacrifice. The old priest had never communicated with the Sea God in his life, so he could only envy him.

Ma Yue felt so good while meditating. The spiritual energy in the pure spirit stone was drawn to his dantian by Ma Yue. With this pure spiritual energy, plus the assistance of such abundant spiritual energy between heaven and earth, Ma Yue was confident that he would be able to break through to the intermediate level of warrior in less than half a year.

What is cultivation all about? Cultivation resources! Spirit stones, or even better, spiritual medicines, can greatly facilitate cultivation. I didn't have any in my previous life, but I imagine I should have plenty in this one.

Ma Yue has dual spiritual roots of water and fire, and only has water spiritual stones. Although it is a bit unconventional, he can always use the water system to promote the cultivation of the fire system. Eventually, he can break through through the water system and reach the intermediate level of warrior cultivation.

Cultivation cannot be completely balanced. Ma Yue had experience in cultivation from his previous life, so being a beginner warrior shouldn't be a big problem.

With the resources to cultivate, Ma Yue's enthusiasm for cultivation was particularly strong. He didn't think the journey to and from the beach was too far. He picked up his axe and began to dig out spiritual stones from the cliff...

If there is a bright future in cultivation, Ma Yue doesn't think there is anything wrong with being a primitive man.

As the days passed, and after several months, Ma Yue clearly felt that the spiritual power accumulated in his dantian was becoming more and more abundant.

The old primitive high priest fiddled with the spirit stone used by Ma Yue. The blue rhythm disappeared and it became almost the same as an ordinary small stone. Of course, the old primitive high priest noticed such an obvious change.

Could this really be a directive from the Sea God? Otherwise, where did the blue in the stone go? A tribute to the Sea God?

Now, apart from the totems on the mountain wall, the small cave inside is the private training hut of the small priest Ma Yue. The old primitive high priest has also become accustomed to it. Ma Yue, the small priest, can communicate with the sea god. He pays tribute to the sea god with small blue stones, so he must have a high status.

Naturally, when the chief distributed food, the young priests were already ahead of the old, primitive high priest. Among primitive people, status was tied to strength and contribution. The tribe's hunting team wasn't very successful, so food still depended primarily on the fish caught in the fish baskets. Ma Yue, who had contributed the method for making the fish baskets, naturally held the highest status.

Since the old primitive chief priest was so humble, Ma Yue refused several times but gave up.

What does "cultivation" mean? The old primitive high priest doesn't understand, and the leader doesn't understand either. I guess it's a new way of communicating with the sea god. That's the only way I can think of it.

"Haha..." One night, as it was late and quiet, Ma Yue in the small cave laughed loudly. The primitive people from many tribes in the cave thought that Ma Yue was communicating with the sea god again.

Why was Ma Yue so excited? He had been in this primitive world for six months and finally his cultivation had broken through to the intermediate warrior level.

His cultivation level was raised by a small level, and his strength and combat effectiveness were greatly improved.

With Ma Yue's current mid-level warrior strength, even the strongest muscular leader might not be Ma Yue's opponent. Strength is not everything. Ma Yue is a practitioner of combat skills. In his previous life, Ma Yue had fought many battles and had rich practical experience.
