The relationship between Hua and Hou is both a deep sisterly bond and a fierce, life-or-death rivalry. They are both kind at heart.
When they're jealous and fighting over someone, they want to strangle each other, but then they forgive each other after a while! They often act like children playing house.
During his time living in the primitive tribe, Xu Que came to realize a certain reality.
He discovered that many of the primitive people's ideas were just as difficult to change as those of the modern city dwellers Xu Que had lived in before! If they were to be changed in a short period of time, the only way would be through bloodshed, which was something Xu Que did not want to see!
Xu Que decided to start with himself and influence them through his actions. Just like in the Black Stone Tribe now, very few members use scratching or picking lice to connect with each other.

The restless crowd immediately quieted down, and everyone said in unison, "This is great! We're all part of the Blackrock Tribe now!"
