Chapter 222 Tribal Decoration Style

Hagang and Pingyao accidentally saw someone doing a lot of renovations and assumed it was because someone in the tribe was getting married or something!

"Actually, decorating a new house is a time-consuming, laborious, and expensive thing! But although the process of decorating is very difficult, when the day of completion comes and you see the beautiful wallpaper, tiles, floors, cabinets, and appliances, all of which are brand new, and think about the cement and sand before the decoration, you still feel very good!"

The concept of home is deeply ingrained in tribal traditions. Everyone hopes for a warm and cozy home, a spacious and bright house where the whole family can live happily together. Therefore, home decoration is a very important aspect for ordinary people, especially women; men don't have as high demands for decoration. However, home decoration is by no means simple; there's a lot of knowledge and expertise involved. Today, let's discuss some insights and experiences related to home decoration!

First, consider your budget and what level of renovation you want or can afford. If your budget allows, things are much easier. If not, you'll need to make some trade-offs. This means saving money on less important areas, even if it means using cheaper options, and then using the saved funds for the more important areas. Which areas you can and cannot cut corners in depends on your individual circumstances.

For example, I renovated my first house a few years ago, and my second house a few years ago. At that time, my budget was very limited. First of all, I tried to save money on things on the balcony. Wallpaper was also acceptable. Some things in the bathroom could also be saved a little, because these things could be replaced later. But other places, such as flooring, floor tiles, ceramic tiles, doors, and cabinets, were more important. They had to be of good quality, or at least mid-range.

Secondly, there's the issue of labor. Do you choose to hire carpenters and masons yourself, buy materials, and do everything yourself, or do a full or partial contract from a renovation company? Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Hiring labor yourself is more tiring; you have to consider everything. Sometimes you even have to buy a nail if the workers are missing one, and you have to supervise them daily to prevent them from doing a poor job. Also, carpenters and masons don't know each other, which can easily lead to problems when coordinating tasks. The carpenter might say it's the mason's job, and the mason might say it's the carpenter's job, and you'll have to mediate—it's too troublesome! But the advantage is that it's cheaper.

I hired workers to do the renovation of my first house myself. For over two months, I went there every day to oversee it. Whenever something was missing, I went to buy it. I personally selected all the renovation materials, and once they were delivered, the workers started working. If any materials were unsuitable—too coarse, too thin, too short, too long—or couldn't be installed, they would come to me. It was exhausting. In the end, the carpentry work was done well, but the tiling was a complete disaster! The tiles weren't laid evenly, the bathroom waterproofing wasn't done properly, and to make matters worse, a piece of cement fell into the drain and clogged it. I didn't notice it at the time, but only discovered it after moving in. I had to call someone to unclog it, which ultimately meant the floor tiles had to be redone and the drain pipes had to be replaced.

Sigh, it's all tears when I talk about it! So when I was renovating my second house, I decisively asked a friend to introduce me to a reputable renovation company and signed a renovation contract, which was a light package deal.

We still had to choose some of the important materials ourselves, but having renovated my first house, I had some experience. Many of the places where the contractors chose the materials were places they knew. As long as the price was right, we could just buy them there, which saved us a lot of trouble later. Basically, you didn't have to worry about anything; they took care of everything. To put it simply, once you paid, you didn't have to come back; you could just check on the progress occasionally. If they needed to communicate with you about something during the renovation, they would call to confirm. After the renovation was completed and the house was cleaned, you came to inspect it, and once it was approved, you settled the payment! Although it cost more, it was really worry-free, and the work was done very well, with guaranteed quality. I was quite satisfied.

Therefore, choosing a reliable renovation company is very important, but not every company is suitable. There are many intricacies involved, so you need to be discerning, do your research, and investigate thoroughly.

I haven't been feeling well lately, perhaps because I've lost the people who are most important to me now. Although some time has passed, I'm still afraid to touch that most vulnerable spot in my heart. Every time I think of them, my heart aches, and missing them seems to be the only thing I can do now. But who is he in now? I'm the person I was in then, what else can I do? Besides crying, besides rambling on like a broken record about my pain, what else can I do? What about vows of eternal love, about being together forever? Now, thinking about them feels ironic, and hard to accept.

Actually, I'm not exactly a man who doesn't care about food, if we're going by the old standards. There's a saying: "A true man's word is as good as gold." If you're to be a true man, you must keep your promises. I know I sometimes make promises too easily, but I've changed a little lately and am gradually becoming more careful with my words. Therefore, I've decided to stop believing in vows of forever. Because everything requires conditions. If two people are speechless, forever is just torture. If forever is painful, why not happily let go?

My feelings are starting to become hazy; I just don't understand them, and I can't let go yet. But one day I will let go gracefully and will never let these two things bother me again.

I recently added some new friends, and I'm so lucky to have met such wonderful people. Their words make me feel their authenticity and affection. God bless lovers, and I think they will definitely find that special someone in their lives to experience the joys and sorrows of life together. On that day, we can all sit together under the warm sun and look back on the past with fond memories.

Another year, the fragrance of catkins fills the air, drifting and swirling, carrying away the dust of the world, a world of fleeting illusions and uncertainties. To leave is difficult, yet to leave is difficult, until the fragrant catkins finally fade away...

The fine rain of longing dances in the air, lingering in the rainy season, lingering and waiting for a long time. Gazing intently at the once-red walls and green tiles, now faded by the relentless passage of time, leaving only endless gloom and vicissitudes. A delicate hand plays with a lock of her hair, her persistent gaze following the scene before her, her once tranquil heart now ripples with emotion. A feeling of oppression rises in her heart, her eyes redden, her gaze closes slightly, and her chaotic thoughts freeze on that tender, innocent moment from the past.

At this time of year, how much warmth and romance filled the air here! Fragrant catkins nestled happily in the embrace of the drizzling rain, whispering secrets in quiet corners. The rain of Xiaoxiang, the gentle wind, the pattering rain accompanied by pure feelings and deep love painted a warm picture in this moment.

My eyes are filled with deep affection and overflowing with love. My heart leaps with joy, my shy gaze lingering on your graceful figure. Your fragrance is like a delicate orchid, your eyes like autumn waters. We stroll side by side, umbrella in hand, along the moss-covered stone path, I nestle gently beside you, inhaling your unique scent. I am completely captivated by your tender affection, willing to be intoxicated by this blissful moment, lost in a dream that lasts a thousand years.

Ha Gang looked at Pingyao and Xu Que with a very strange expression, as if he couldn't understand what they were saying.
