Yuanshi Tianzun bowed deeply to Taishang Laojun, and then his figure drifted away into the distance like a gentle breeze.
Their conversation was clearly heard by both the Sage of Amitabha and the Sage of Cundi.
When they heard that Yuanshi Tianzun was planning to attack his many disciples, the two were extremely anxious and immediately used all their strength to try to break free from their restraints and stop Yuanshi Tianzun.
However, Laozi let out a hearty laugh and then once again used the divine power of "One Qi Transforms into Three Pure Ones".
He worked closely with the incarnations of the Three Pure Ones to firmly trap these two saints.
Yuanshi Tianzun glanced back and, seeing this situation, slightly raised the corners of his mouth, revealing a cold smile.
Without hesitation, he continued flying towards Mount Ling.
His figure descended swiftly from the sky like a wisp of cloud, arriving at the foot of Mount Ling in the blink of an eye.
The many Arhats who were originally guarding the foot of the mountain were terrified when they saw this scene and scattered in all directions.
One of the groups of Arhats even shouted as they ran, "Disaster is coming!"
Meanwhile, they frantically ran towards the Great Thunder Temple on the mountaintop.
At this moment, Shakyamuni Buddha and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were sitting in the Great Thunderclap Temple, and everyone's heart was filled with unease.
They silently recited Buddhist scriptures, hoping to calm their inner fears and anxieties.
Just as the Buddhas were in a state of panic, a group of Arhats suddenly burst into the Mahavira Hall.
The group of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who were resting with their eyes closed suddenly opened their eyes and looked at the group of uninvited guests.
The group of Arhats rushed to the lotus throne of Shakyamuni Buddha, prostrated themselves on the ground, and cried out in great fear, "Disaster! World Honored One! The Primordial Sage has come to kill us!"
"What?"
Upon hearing this news, some Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were struck dumb, thrown into chaos, and some even stood up abruptly from their lotus platforms, unable to contain their fear.
However, Shakyamuni Buddha showed extraordinary composure. Although he was slightly disturbed upon hearing the news, he quickly calmed down.
"In that case, please come with me to meet that Primordial Lord."
After speaking, he slowly rose, stepped down from the lotus platform, and walked steadily toward the outside of the hall.
The remaining Buddhas and Bodhisattvas looked at each other, feeling uneasy, but they gritted their teeth and followed.
A large group of people had just walked out of the Great Thunderclap Temple when they suddenly found that the Primordial Celestial Venerable had appeared on the opposite side.
He stood quietly beneath an ancient pine tree, gazing at them indifferently.
When Shakyamuni Buddha saw this, he was first taken aback, then shook his head with a wry smile, put his hands together, and said softly, "Well said."
Then, Shakyamuni Buddha stepped forward, bowed to the Primordial Heavenly Venerable, and greeted him, saying, "Greetings, Master!"
Yuanshi Tianzun nodded slightly in response.
Then, he gently lifted his eyelids, his empty and deep gaze sweeping across the faces of the crowd.
When Guanyin Bodhisattva and other disciples who originally belonged to the Chan Sect met Yuanshi Tianzun's gaze, they all involuntarily lowered their heads.
At this moment, they had reached a dead end and were too ashamed to face their former teacher.
However, there is no regret about it.
It should be understood that their decision to leave the Chan Sect and join the Buddhist sect was not because Yuanshi Tianzun treated them badly, but simply because they wanted to pursue a higher and more profound path.
Who can blame them when their path to enlightenment lies within this Buddhist temple?
Otherwise, if he had stayed in the Chan Sect, he would not have achieved his current level of cultivation.
Now, facing the prospect of sacrificing oneself for one's cause, one can only lament the ruthlessness of the great Dao and the capriciousness of fate.
However, since they had already made their choice and taken action, they should now have gotten what they wanted and have nothing to regret.
The Primordial Celestial Venerable's gaze slowly swept across the faces of the many Buddhist disciples, a faint trace of loneliness in his eyes.
After a moment, he said calmly, "Most of you are destined to be on the list of gods, and today is the time to follow the will of heaven."
"I have come here merely to follow the will of Heaven and fulfill your destiny."
Upon hearing this, Shakyamuni Buddha frowned and said in a deep voice, "Alas! Why must it come to this!"
"Your Excellency, as a respected senior figure, would you really stoop to bullying the weak and oppressing the powerful?"
However, when faced with Tathagata's questioning, Yuanshi Tianzun's expression remained unchanged. He merely glanced at the other party and calmly asked, "Are these your last words?"
A sage's actions are unrestrained; he can do as he pleases and will not care about the opinions of those as lowly as ants.
When it comes to understanding the personality and way of doing things of Yuanshi Tianzun, who among those present could compare with Guanyin Bodhisattva and others?
Guanyin Bodhisattva exchanged a glance with her former fellow disciples and gently shook her head.
At this point, they understood that since Yuanshi Tianzun had made his point to this extent, there was no possibility of changing it.
Their fate was sealed; they could not escape it.
At this moment, the air in front of the Great Thunder Temple became unusually heavy, as if time itself had frozen.
The Buddhist disciples looked at each other, their hearts filled with despair and helplessness.
They knew they were powerless to resist the sage Yuanshi Tianzun, the founder of the religion, and could only silently accept their impending fate.
The Primordial Celestial Venerable stood there quietly, like an insurmountable mountain peak, impossible to cross, inspiring awe and fear.
Guanyin Bodhisattva stepped out of the crowd, took a few steps forward, and gracefully arrived in front of Yuanshi Tianzun. Then, she respectfully and properly performed a full prostration.
"Disciple Cihang greets Master."
The gaze of the Primordial Celestial Venerable suddenly darkened and became uncertain, but his expression remained as cold as ice. He asked calmly, "What brings you here to pay your respects? Are you perhaps begging for my mercy?"
Guanyin Bodhisattva slowly raised her head, a faint smile appearing on her lips: "This disciple has not come to beg for mercy, but only to say goodbye to my teacher before leaving."
As she finished speaking, a sharp longsword suddenly appeared in her right hand, its cold light radiating outwards, sending chills down one's spine.
She held a long sword, and with a swift movement, the blade rested against her long, fair neck.
"Teacher, take care. I'll take my leave now."
As soon as she finished speaking, she swiftly and lightly slashed her neck with her sword. In an instant, blood splattered from her neck, staining the surrounding air red.
As a gentle breeze blew by, Guanyin Bodhisattva lay dead on the ground, her spirit and magical power dissipating with her.
She knew she couldn't escape this fate, and rather than be sent away by her teacher, she chose to end her own life.
And so he ended his life in a tragic and resolute way.
Upon witnessing this scene, the Primordial Celestial Venerable's tense face finally relaxed, revealing a satisfied smile.
He nodded slightly, expressing his approval, and said, "Excellent! This truly reflects the character of my disciples..."
