Chapter 719 The Real and Fake Wukong

When the Six-Eared Macaque saw that Tang Sanzang had driven away Sun Wukong, he immediately knew that his chance had come. He transformed into Sun Wukong's appearance, jumped in front of the three of them, and gave Tang Sanzang a severe beating.

After Tang Sanzang fainted, he grabbed the luggage and left.

Next, with the help of Pigsy and Sandy, Tang Sanzang woke up and immediately felt a deep hatred for Sun Wukong. He remembered the luggage that had been stolen, which contained the travel permit. He could not continue his journey to the west without this.

So he ordered his two disciples to find Sun Wukong and retrieve the luggage.

After discussing it with Sha Wujing, Zhu Bajie decided to stay and protect Tang Sanzang, while Sha Wujing went to find Sun Wukong.

Sha Wujing first went to the Water Curtain Cave of Flower and Fruit Mountain, where he discovered another version of himself, as well as Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, and Sun Wukong.

These are all transformations of the Six-Eared Macaque, who wanted to replace Sanzang and the others on their journey to the Western Paradise to obtain Buddhist scriptures.

Upon seeing this, Sha Wujing was furious and immediately beat the group of counterfeiters to death. After they died, he discovered that they had actually been transformed from monkeys.

At this moment, Sun Wukong, disguised as the Six-Eared Macaque, appeared. The two disagreed and immediately began to fight.

How could Sha Wujing possibly be a match for the Six-Eared Macaque? He was defeated and forced to flee after only a few rounds.

Sha Wujing fled Flower Fruit Mountain, not daring to go back and cause trouble for the Six-Eared Macaque again. He went directly to the South China Sea, intending to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva for help.

However, when they arrived at Luojia Mountain, they discovered the real Sun Wukong.

He thought this person was still the fake Sun Wukong disguised as the Six-Eared Macaque, and immediately swung his staff to strike.

Sun Wukong was completely baffled. While parrying the attacks, he asked for the reason.

After questioning, Sun Wukong finally learned the whole story and immediately flew into a rage.

Of course, this anger was not directed at Sha Wujing, but at the Six-Eared Macaque.

After Sun Wukong explained, Sha Wujing, half-believing and half-doubting, followed Sun Wukong to Guanyin Bodhisattva.

Only after Guanyin Bodhisattva vouched for him did Sha Wujing finally believe in Wukong.

Next, Guanyin Bodhisattva immediately ordered the two to go and find the fake Wukong to get to the bottom of the matter.

So, Sha Wujing and Sun Wukong returned to Flower Fruit Mountain together and finally met the Six-Eared Macaque.

When Sun Wukong saw the Six-Eared Macaque transform into his own appearance and act arrogantly among the monkeys in the Water Curtain Cave, he was furious and immediately jumped out, swinging his golden cudgel to strike.

The Six-Eared Macaque immediately burst into laughter and took out an identical golden cudgel to meet him.

He had long been unhappy with Sun Wukong.

We're all monkeys, so why is Sun Wukong so powerful?

The two monkeys immediately started fighting. Sha Wujing, who was standing to the side, was completely dumbfounded. The two monkeys were exactly the same. Even though he had spent so much time with Sun Wukong, he still couldn't tell the difference between them.

Two monkeys started fighting on Flower Fruit Mountain. In an instant, the mountain collapsed, the earth cracked, and the sky and earth changed color.

They fought their way from the mountains to the sky, and then from the sky to the seabed.

One is a naturally intelligent stone monkey who absorbed the spiritual energy of Flower Fruit Mountain for millions of years. Later, he became a disciple of a famous master, learned supreme supernatural powers, and cultivated an indestructible body. He was proficient in transformation and could easily move stars and change constellations.

The other is the Six-Eared Macaque, who was also taught by a famous master and personally created by the sage leader, so his supernatural powers and strength are also extraordinary.

The two monkey kings fought for hundreds of rounds, but still could not determine a winner.

They argued and accused each other, each claiming that they were the real ones and the other was the fake.

To determine the truth, the two fought as they approached Sha Wujing and asked him to make the judgment.

Sha Wujing looked left and right, but couldn't tell the difference between the real and the fake. He simply said he couldn't tell and recommended that they go to Guanyin Bodhisattva so that she could distinguish the real from the fake.

Sun Wukong found this reasonable and, after some arguing with the Six-Eared Macaque, went to the Chaoyin Cave on Luojia Mountain in the South China Sea, where they met Guanyin Bodhisattva.

As a result, she couldn't tell the difference between what was real and what was fake.

Sun Wukong asked the Bodhisattva to recite the Tightening-Headband Mantra to distinguish between the real and the fake.

As a result, as Guanyin Bodhisattva chanted the incantation, Sun Wukong clutched his head and rolled on the ground in pain, and the Six-Eared Macaque followed suit.

In this way, it was impossible to distinguish between the genuine and the fake.

Sun Wukong was unwilling to give up, so he fought with the Six-Eared Macaque again, and then fought all the way to the South Heavenly Gate, where the Jade Emperor finally invited him into the Lingxiao Palace.

Sun Wukong asked the Jade Emperor to distinguish between the real and the fake.

The Jade Emperor naturally said he couldn't recognize it, and then asked all the immortals and gods to distinguish it, but they still couldn't tell the real from the fake.

Thus, the two had no choice but to leave, and then fought their way to the underworld to ask the Ten Kings of Hell to examine them.

They ordered the judge to fetch the Book of Life and Death.

After checking the Book of Life and Death, it was discovered that all entries for the monkey genus had been crossed out.

In that case, there's nothing we can do.

Of course, this is also the result of Sun Wukong's previous rampage in the underworld.

Unfortunately, the two of them were then directed by Yama to become Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

Sun Wukong also knew that there was a divine beast named Di Ting under the Bodhisattva's seat. This beast could distinguish all things in the world by listening, and was especially good at listening to people's thoughts.

This is a good opportunity to let the beast distinguish between the real and the fake.

So the two monkeys, pulling and tugging at each other, went to the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha's sacred site and met the mythical beast Di Ting.

Given its great reputation, especially its ability to hear people's thoughts, the fact that this mythical beast, Di Ting, can still live a good life naturally suggests that it knows what it can and cannot say.

Upon seeing the real and fake Monkey Kings, it pretended to observe for a while and then listened to their inner thoughts.

I don't know if they recognized him or not, but they kept saying they couldn't.

Sun Wukong was immediately disappointed.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva directly directed them to Mount Ling, instructing them to go and seek an audience with the Buddha, asking him to intervene.

So the two monkeys fought their way out of the underworld and headed straight for Mount Ling.

If the two of them were to actually see the Buddha, the Buddha, with his supernatural powers, would naturally be able to distinguish between the real and the fake.

While fighting Sun Wukong, the Six-Eared Macaque felt somewhat anxious.

I recalled the guidance Amitabha Buddha gave me before I left.

"Your destiny is to face a calamity, which is to be unable to see the Tathagata."

Now, seeing that Sun Wukong wanted to take him to see Buddha, he didn't object verbally, but how could he possibly be willing in his heart?

While fighting, the Six-Eared Macaque was thinking of a solution.

After his eyes darted around a few times, he suddenly shouted, "You fake thing, I never expected this! I never expected that you would finally show your true colors now!"

While brandishing his golden cudgel, Sun Wukong asked in bewilderment, "What? What do you mean by 'fake'? Why are you saying that about me?!"

"Hehe... As the saying goes, falsehood cannot become truth, and truth cannot become falsehood. I, the mighty Great Sage Equaling Heaven, was once deceived by the Buddha and suppressed by him for five hundred years. With such deep hatred, I wish I could kill him to avenge this grudge."

But you, this fake, hmph... though you've changed into me, not only do you not think of revenge, but you're even planning to go to that sacred mountain, hoping it will uphold justice."

As he spoke, he glared at Sun Wukong with disdain, "Why would we need to go to Mount Ling again? This trip has already proven that you are a fake."

Enraged by this, Sun Wukong increased the force of his golden cudgel and sneered, "You imposter, you're good at talking nonsense. If it weren't for the Buddha, who in this world could tell the real me from the fake?"

The Six-Eared Macaque chuckled to himself: This monkey has finally fallen into my trap.

But he sneered, "Only him? That's not necessarily true..."
