Chapter 53 Hongyun's Suicide Attempt

Chapter 53 Hongyun's Suicide Attempt

Chang Hao lightly unfolded the Jade Fan in his hand, using the fan ribs to block Tong Qi's fierce sword strike. His movements were graceful and free, exuding a unique charm.

"Huh..." Tongtian was certain that Hongyun didn't have that ability. Upon closer inspection, he realized that this was his second brother's treasured 'Jade Fan'.

"You really are Chang Hao," Tongtian said, having confirmed Chang Hao's authenticity. He quickly turned around and sheathed his sword. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I came here after Hongyun."

Strange, Tongtian wondered. He had clearly sensed Hongyun's aura just now, so how could it suddenly turn into Changhao? If he wasn't certain that Changhao wouldn't secretly hide Hongyun, this situation would really lead to misunderstandings.

"Can you tell me who Hongyun is?" Chang Hao asked again calmly.

"Hongyun is the number one cloud in the world. He stole my Crimson Gourd while we were confronting Taiyi and the others. I'm chasing him down from heaven to earth right now." Tongtian cursed Hongyun for being sneaky and getting away so fast.

"So it was him. He brought this on himself." Chang Hao first realized what was going on, then immediately realized something was wrong. Tongtian had said earlier that his aura was leaking out?

Could there be other clouds here? I glanced out of the corner of my eye at that drifting cloud…

As the first cloud, Hongyun possesses a unique innate ability that means nothing can stop him as long as there are clouds around.

After swallowing the cloud couch, the red cloud that had disguised itself as the cloud couch saw that things were not going well and immediately drifted away. It was as fast as the wind. Its skills were not particularly high, but its ability to escape was first-rate.

"Trying to leave?" Chang Hao's face turned pale and then red, and in a flash, he grabbed Hong Yun, who was fleeing at the speed of light. "Get down here."

Hongyun was pulled down from the sky by Chang Hao and slammed to the ground, transforming into a Dao body. His handsome and dashing face was contorted in pain, and his internal organs were aching.

A cold smile appeared on Chang Hao's lips as he took out the Cangmin Sword. "What audacious Hongyun! He dares to tease even me. What else wouldn't he dare to do?"

Tongtian stood aside, sword in hand, watching the show with great interest, thoroughly enjoying the feeling of Chang Hao standing up for him.

"My beauty, please don't... I didn't mean to..." Hongyun chuckled awkwardly, also blaming Chang Hao's imposing presence and handsome appearance for leaving him speechless. "You're lying down, aren't you..." comfortable...

A flash of ferocity crossed Chang Hao's eyes, but Cang Min's sword flashed like lightning, his intention to finish off Hong Yun was clear.

Hongyun was terrified. Sword light came from all directions, sometimes real, sometimes illusory. For a moment, Hongyun had nowhere to go, neither to heaven nor to earth.

Tongtian was startled and reached out to grab Chang Hao's wrist, but only managed to grab a section of his sleeve. "Spare his life..."

His second brother was friends with Zhen Yuanzi, and out of respect for Zhen Yuanzi, he had to give Hongyun some leeway.

"No need. I'll make you an even better red gourd later." Chang Hao brushed aside Tongtian, his anger rising, and wanted to kill Hongyun to silence her. Besides, Hongyun hadn't been honest with her actions when she was disguised as Yunta.

The first sword light was about to pierce Hongyun's body when Hongyun hurriedly summoned the Nine-Nine Soul-Scattering Gourd and put it inside. Immediately afterwards, sword lights came one after another, and they were all real, not just feints.

"My life is over..." Hongyun closed his eyes in despair, letting the sword light pierce through his defenses and penetrate his body.

"Spare him from the sword..." A book flew in rapidly, breaking into the sword formation and firmly protecting Hongyun within its protective shield.

Chang Hao tentatively poked at it a few times with his sword. The shield was quite like a tortoise shell and not easy to break. Of course, it wasn't impossible to break it if necessary...

Chang Hao looked at the person rushing over at high speed, his anger still hard to subside. As long as he could subdue his master, wouldn't everything be fine?

Just as he was about to make his move, he caught a glimpse of Yuanshi behind someone. He wondered what the relationship was between this person and Yuanshi. Considering his friendship with Yuanshi, Chang Hao temporarily put aside his thoughts of taking the person down.

"Chang Hao, Chang Hao," Tongtian quickly stopped Chang Hao, "Calm down first, a person should always have a breath left."

Tongtian was moved. Look, this is what a brother should be like. Why doesn't your second brother learn from him?

Zhen Yuanzi had been moving around since Tongtian started chasing Hongyun. He arrived panting and breathless. He only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the red stain on the ground, but his anger surged again.

Hongyun, you really know how to cause trouble. You weren't watching him closely enough and angered the mysterious and unpredictable Lord of Lishan, who has never ventured into the primordial world. This is terrible. How can he plead for mercy?

"Zhen Yuanzi, you've finally arrived." Hongyun cried tears of joy; he had almost become a dead cloud.

Zhen Yuanzi, exasperated, glared at Hongyun several times before bowing earnestly to Chang Hao. "Fellow Daoist, please calm down. Although my friend has trespassed on Lishan Mountain, he has no ill intentions. I hope you will show mercy and spare his life. I am willing to offer four ginseng fruits as an apology."

Chang Hao's pretty face was gloomy, as if a storm was brewing. He did not accept Zhen Yuanzi's apology and turned away to show his refusal to negotiate.

“Hongyun,” Zhen Yuanzi was furious. He knew Hongyun’s temperament very well. “What wrong thing have you done this time? Hurry up and apologize.”

Hongyun opened her mouth, scratched the back of her head, and glanced at Chang Hao with a hesitant look.

Chang Hao was mortified, his teeth practically grinding to powder. His eyes, blazing with fury, met Hong Yun's seemingly pure gaze, his warning clear in his expression.

Hongyun touched the tip of his nose, swallowed the words that had risen to his throat. This fellow Daoist Chang Hao was so shy, lest he become angry, so he decided not to say anything.

"What happened?" Yuanshi came to Chang Hao's side, and he rarely saw Chang Hao so angry.

"Why are you here?" Chang Hao asked in a low voice.

"At your invitation, I've come to Lishan for a short stay." Yuanshi frankly stated the purpose of his trip, concealing the fact that he frequently visited Lishan.

While the two were whispering to each other, Zhen Yuanzi was furious.

"Are you going to tell me or not?" Zhen Yuanzi wished he could crawl into Hongyun's head to see what he was thinking.

"I really can't say." Even if Hongyun had a hundred times the courage, he wouldn't dare to say it. This mountain lord's strength was unfathomable, and he still wanted to live.

“Fellow Daoist Yuanshi…” Zhen Yuanzi turned around and asked Yuanshi, whom he had met by chance on the road and had been chatting happily with, “I have heard that you and the Mountain Lord are close friends. Could you please put in a good word for me?”

Yuanshi stepped aside to avoid Zhenyuanzi's request. In terms of closeness and kinship, how could Zhenyuanzi be compared to Changhao? If Changhao insisted on silencing him, then he... could only help, to avoid leaving any future troubles.

Having watched the spectacle to his heart's content, Tongtian finally stepped forward to smooth things over, saying, "Zhen Yuanzi, for your sake, I won't make things difficult for you. Just have Hongyun hand over the Crimson Gourd, and I certainly won't make things difficult for you."

Tongtian played a trick, only saying that he wouldn't make things difficult for Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun, but he didn't guarantee that Chang Hao wouldn't make things difficult. After all, Tongtian could only speak for himself, right? He was helpless.

"This red gourd..." Could it be what he was thinking? Remembering that Hongyun hadn't explained where he got it, he was so happy that he forgot to ask. Thinking of this, Zhen Yuanzi felt dizzy.
