Chapter 2 Breaking Through the Net to Gain a New Heaven
Chang Hao gathered his essence and unleashed a powerful strike, its dazzling brilliance concealing an unparalleled killing intent.
Pangu had no doubt that the attack was aimed at him. There was nothing he could do; after all, he had insisted on creating the heavens and destroying the chaos upon which the demons and gods depended for survival, making him their mortal enemy.
No matter how wildly imaginative Pangu was, he would never have guessed that Chang Hao was helping him.
As for the unlucky few who were stabbed to death, Pangu and the demons believed they must have had some conflict with this person, so they naturally struck first upon seeing him, which was not surprising.
This kind of scene happened frequently during the time this group of people were beating him up; it was nothing unusual.
Pangu frowned slightly and casually swung his axe. He created the world to pursue light, and there was indeed a beam of light at this moment, but unfortunately, their positions were different.
However, Pangu did not expect that Chang Hao's attack, which clearly used his primordial power, would instead be delivered to Rahu behind him.
The formation broke, and the Four Heavenly Swords emitted a mournful cry. The system's eyes widened in horror as it discovered that one of the swords had a chipped edge. This was the most likely treasure it had planned to obtain, and the system was heartbroken.
In the rush, Pangu had no time to retreat, which was exactly what Chang Hao wanted. Satisfied, Chang Hao chose to strike Rahu and met Pangu's heaven-opening axe with his own body.
"It feels so good..." Chang Hao felt the gaping wound between his soul and the system. Although it was painful, it was exhilarating. It was the long-lost freedom of his soul.
The two exchanged a glance across the numerous innate gods and demons. Pangu was surprised to find that the newly born innate god and demon had an unexpectedly kind and clear gaze. Was this person here to help him? Pangu chuckled at his own naiveté.
"Nonsense," Rahu's body twisted, revealing his true form, "Aim carefully before you strike."
Even with Pangu's enormous size, this golden light still managed to miss. It seems this golden light is about to run out of steam.
Sure enough, these people are all brainless.
Luo Hou secretly calculated that he had to be careful and not associate with them.
"The Heaven-Opening Divine Axe truly lives up to its name." Chang Hao's meaningful words appeared in the system's ears.
Having been struck by the Heaven-Opening Axe, the system, originally a purplish-gray mass of gas, was on the verge of disintegrating; its end was near.
The system didn't want to die, so it painstakingly planned and was just one step away from success. It deliberately chose the time to obtain more treasures and seize the initiative.
"Isn't it good to be alive? Hurry up and escape! Below is the primordial wilderness, jump down!!!" The system was hysterical. As long as it jumped down and survived until Pangu died, its chance would come.
"Don't be crazy. Now is the time for the two of us to join forces and avoid the great calamity of creation. By relying on us to survive the immeasurable calamity, we will gain the upper hand when we enter the prehistoric world. The Three Pure Ones will have to take a backseat." The system tried to entice us with empty promises.
Ignorance is bliss. This fool, does he even know what he's doing? Why doesn't he run away now, the farther the better? Is he waiting to be crushed by a finger of Pangu after he splits the world apart?
The secret that Chang Hao had been unable to uncover for several lifetimes was finally revealed to him on his deathbed, and he was overjoyed. "This is your ambition, not mine."
Even ants struggle to survive, and so does Chang Hao; however, many things are more important than life.
Chang Hao was originally just one of the masses. The gods and immortals he learned in his early years were all fabrications. No matter how intelligent he was, he could not know how much the system had done in this life as the God King.
He could indeed sense the intricate and intertwined connection between the two of them, and that their destinies were intertwined. Using the axe of the Great God Pangu to sever the inseparable link with the system was the safest method he could think of, even if it meant mutual destruction.
"You still won't wake up," the system pounded its chest and stamped its feet, "I am you, and you are me. You are my good corpse, and I am the real self. Open your eyes and look around. The world is so big, and there are so many people. Why did I choose you in particular?"
He regretted it; he shouldn't have erased Chang Hao's memories so completely.
"Liar, what is a good corpse?" Chang Hao gently scolded, his voice tinged with affection. "Although I don't know why you chose me, it doesn't matter anymore. You can choose to die here with this secret."
The system felt a chill from the overwhelming sense of tolerance in his words.
It was this damned tolerance that blinded him, the system thought. Who said he was a liar? In his eyes, Chang Hao was the biggest liar.
She is adept at using gentleness to wrap herself up, showering him with sweet words and concern, becoming extremely dependent on him, and gradually deceiving him into lowering his guard.
Chang Hao was brewing another deadly move, targeting the purple-clad man who, in his view, posed the greatest threat to Pangu.
What the system can see depends entirely on Chang Hao.
Upon seeing it, the system was speechless, "Dao Ancestor..."
The Dao Ancestor was actually a primordial demon god! Who could have predicted that?!
This secret, if used well, is tantamount to a trump card; even now, the system remains unchanged.
Chang Hao did not pause. At this critical juncture, nothing the system said could convince Chang Hao; it would only turn into a conspiracy and make Chang Hao determined to act quickly.
Seeking liberation, Chang Hao spared no effort in unleashing his primordial power, transforming into golden light that pierced through Hongjun along with the sword. After revealing his form, he swiftly turned around, mimicking Pangu's stance, and kicked Hongjun into the primordial world, attempting to use him as nourishment. Then, with a backhand strike, he became entangled with Luo Hou.
The clash between the most holy and the most evil was like the earth splitting and mountains collapsing, heaven and earth tilting.
Chang Hao wielded a lightsaber, wreaking havoc in all directions. The light was so dazzling that no one dared to look directly at him.
The system watched helplessly as the supreme Dao Ancestor in his heart was stabbed three times by Chang Hao. His mind was buzzing and he couldn't recover for a long time.
Even with all his scheming, he only dared to think about how to gain the upper hand and be accepted as a disciple by the Dao Ancestor, and then plot to obtain a strand of Primordial Purple Qi...
The system is confused, the system is silent. Actually, dying isn't so bad?
A few wisps of black smoke drifted from Luo Hou's mouth. Damn it, he finally caught a glimpse of his nemesis Hongjun and wanted to sneak over and stab him a few times for fun, but he ended up following in Hongjun's footsteps and was stabbed right through.
This golden light was completely at odds with him, even more so than Hongjun's. Luo Hou's intuition told him that this person would pose a threat to him.
Ignoring Hongjun and Pangu, he revealed his Dharma body, with three heads and six arms, wielding the four swords of Zhuxian, stepping on the Zhuxian Formation Diagram, his whole body shrouded in black mist, determined to subdue this troublesome fellow. He still had two hands free, so he needed to find a treasure to fill the gap.
Hongjun flew up from the beginning of the primordial world without changing his expression. His usually calm mind was unusually disturbed, and he stared deeply at Chang Hao.
This guy, whose face was obscured by golden light, was clearly in cahoots with Pangu. He stabbed him three times, pierced through his physical body, and kicked him. He didn't even return the favor. Let's see if this guy can survive.
He is not like Rahu, who lacks a sense of the big picture and only causes trouble. Right now, it is best to preserve the chaos they depend on for survival.
Chang Hao was not intimidated by the ferocious Luo Hou. Although he had little fighting experience, he believed that it was always easier to die than to live.
With his reckless fighting style and the fact that Chang Hao's power was exactly Luo Hou's nemesis, even though his strength was clearly inferior to Luo Hou's, Luo Hou really couldn't do anything to Chang Hao for the time being.
Chang Hao felt he had reached his limit. He intended to deliver his final blow to the guy in front of him who made him feel uneasy, but within his radiant range, he sensed a figure sneaking to the outer edge.
Chang Hao's intuition told him that letting this little bug get away would have endless consequences.
Trusting his intuition, Chang Hao changed direction and delivered the final blow to the guy on the outer edge who was about to jump into the primordial world to escape the massacre. He also took the purple energy that Pangu had been collecting.
Luo Hou gave Chang Hao no time to spare. He took advantage of Chang Hao's distraction and thrust out his spear without holding back, scattering Chang Hao's soul. Chang Hao, who was already at his limit, turned into countless points of light.
The system crashed. Even though he had prepared countless trump cards for himself, it couldn't withstand Chang Hao's self-destructive behavior. He could only watch helplessly as he was affected by the aftershocks in the center of this chaotic battle and gradually declined.
"Chang Hao, you are so cruel... I hereby swear... that you will suffer all the misfortunes I have experienced..."
Chang Hao seemed to hear the system's mournful cries and curses, filled with schadenfreude that harmed others without benefiting itself.
But who cares? They're already dead.
Pangu's giant hand reached out but found nothing. Chang Hao dissipated so quickly that Pangu was caught off guard when he tried to grab him. Only the scattered points of light briefly lingered in the shattering chaos before slowly fading away.
Only the Primordial Purple Qi that was sent to Pangu's eyes proved that there was indeed an unexpected innate demon god who appeared suddenly like a beam of light, stood on the same side as him, blocked some of the attacks of innate demon gods for him, and then left abruptly, leaving behind only a sense of loss.
