Chapter 8 First Arrival in the Primordial World

Chapter 8 First Arrival in the Primordial World

Hongjun stepped forward, shielding Chang Hao behind him and blocking all of Luo Hou's attack routes. Hongjun would kill Luo Hou without batting an eye. "Leave here. Weren't the lessons of the past few days enough?"

"Heh," Luo Hou chuckled angrily, "Who are you ordering around?" His gaze drifted to where Chang Hao was. The last time he saw Hong Jun, there was a hint of tenderness in his eyes. Sure enough, having a child makes one's heart soften.

Thinking that Hongjun had ruined his plans once again, Luo Hou was even more furious. Fine, if Hongjun doesn't want him to have a good time, then nobody should have a good time either. He won't let him sacrifice three clans to the heavens, huh? Then he'll sacrifice one of Hongjun's sons to the heavens first.

The God-Slaying Spear 'whoosh'ed towards Hongjun. Hongjun summoned his magic weapon, but unexpectedly, Luo Hou only feinted and turned to stab Chang Hao.

Fortunately, Chang Hao was on guard and dodged the shot in a rather embarrassing manner. Taking advantage of this opening, Hongjun suddenly unleashed the Twelve-Petaled Golden Lotus.

Luo Hou turned around and defended himself, cursing and swearing that he hated this color the most.

Hongjun pulled Chang Hao over, flicked his sleeve, and threw Chang Hao into the prehistoric world. When the fighting started and the commotion became too great, the aftershocks would definitely hit Chang Hao. After he dealt with Luo Hou, he would bring him back.

Chang Hao stood on the vast, desolate land, his face dazed. The beautiful landscape before him seemed both real and unreal, and he felt a mix of joy and melancholy, a myriad of emotions welling up in his heart.

As I hiked up Buzhou Mountain, a gentle breeze caressed me, the earth was a vibrant green, and my heart felt warm and content.

Standing on high ground overlooking the surroundings, I felt like I was in a familiar place, yet everything was unfamiliar. However, the sight of naked, unashamed creatures was truly an eyesore, shattering my melancholy and sentimental heart.

Little did they know that to Shangqing Tongtian, Chang Hao was like a raging flood or a ferocious beast, and their hearts trembled with a chill.

After Tongtian had been watching for a while, Chang Hao naturally turned his gaze to him. "Fellow Daoist, Chang Hao greets you."

Chang Hao hoped to learn some essential knowledge from this fellow Daoist. Naturally, his conduct was measured and his demeanor appropriate. His elegance and grace were exceptional, like a beautiful orchid or a jade tree growing in the courtyard. How fortunate he was to see him!

But that's how others see him. In Shangqing Tongtian's eyes, this person looks too much like his second brother, and the aura that he concealed with secret techniques, unique to the Three Pure Ones lineage, could not possibly be hidden from him.

Anyone who runs away from home, thinking they can be free for a while, will break out in a cold sweat if they catch a glimpse of someone who looks exactly like their second brother as soon as they arrive at their first stop. They will have to carefully consider whether their second brother is in a fit of rage and has changed his appearance to play a trick on them.

Tongtian was filled with doubt and apprehension. After carefully examining the area, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. It was a false alarm!

Second Brother always has a deadpan expression and only lectures him, which is incredibly annoying. He never treats him with a gentle smile or a warm, welcoming smile.

After the initial shock, Tongtian felt that Chang Hao looked strangely familiar, as if they were old friends reunited.

"Fellow Daoist, I am Daoist Qingwei." Tongtian directly announced his name, confident that no one in the prehistoric world was unaware of him.

"Greetings, Fellow Daoist Qingwei. May I ask where this place is?" Chang Hao grasped at Tongtian as his lifeline. He was completely clueless about the prehistoric world. He couldn't very well go and talk to a 'person' who was completely naked and could barely walk, could he?

At least Tongtian was dressed, and he looked like a free and unrestrained person. No matter how bad a person is, he can't be that bad.

"This is Buzhou Mountain. Fellow Daoist, would you like to join us?" Tongtian invited, secretly plotting something. This Chang Hao was just like their Three Pure Ones' lost brother in the prehistoric world. Why not take him back to Kunlun Mountain?

If Chang Hao can be found by Yuanshi and help him hold off his second brother, allowing him to travel freely across the prehistoric land, then Tongtian will accept him as a brother.

"It is my wish, and I dare not refuse." Chang Hao was more than happy to accept. Observing that this fellow Daoist Tongtian was upright and honest, with a free and easy manner and an unstoppable sharpness, he was sure that he was not a person with treacherous intentions.

"Let's go, let's continue climbing Buzhou Mountain." Tongtian was eager to try. He had been stuck in Kunlun Mountain by his two older brothers and was extremely bored.

They traveled along the way, stopping frequently, without encountering any danger or seeing any other people.

Chang Hao intended to find a mountain peak in the primordial wilderness to open a cave dwelling, become the king of the mountain, and squat down to put any flowers or plants he encountered into his sleeve.

"Fellow Daoist Chang Hao, why are you collecting them?" Tongtian asked, puzzled. These flowers and plants were everywhere in the prehistoric world, and their quality was not good. Just like his elder brother, if he wanted them, he could just go out and pick them.

To collect them, one must look for rare spiritual roots, such as the Yellow Plum that his second brother obtained.

"I have considerable experience in alchemy. These rare flowers and herbs, when properly combined, can become miraculous medicines. If one is seriously injured, with the aid of these medicines, the recovery process will be rapid." Chang Hao pointed to the Frost Flower in his hand and explained softly. This was the benefit of his extensive reading in the past. However, the efficacy of this flower still needed to be verified by him, and he was missing a test subject.

"As for the spiritual root you mentioned, fellow Daoist, it's something that can't be forced, so I won't pursue it." Chang Hao thought to himself, if he had a life-saving weapon like the peach of immortality, would he need to refine pills?

Tongtian rubbed his nose. "You and my elder brother have the same hobbies. You could ask him to spar with you." His elder brother tinkered with these things, constantly causing explosions in his furnace, producing pitch-black pills. He didn't hesitate to grab Tongtian to test his medicines.

"How dare I, with my meager skills, exchange them with your brother?" Chang Hao was well aware of his limitations.

“Don’t be modest,” Tongtian shrugged, pulling over a fluffy one. “Is Chang Hao going to put them into his sleeve universe? They feel nice, keep them for alchemy.”

As Tongtian spoke, he stroked the fluffy ball of fur again, becoming somewhat addicted to it.

"Don't move, this rabbit is injured." Chang Hao looked up at the sky speechlessly. Refining pills from living creatures? Sorry, he didn't know how, and besides, this rabbit clearly had cultivation.

Tongtian looked down and saw that it was true; the bones in the left forelimb were broken. It was a pity that the rabbit was enduring it without making a sound.

Chang Hao took the rabbit and used his spiritual energy to groom it, focusing on using spiritual energy to treat the bone in its left forelimb.

Tongtian froze, his mind in turmoil, ever since Chang Hao treated the rabbit's leg. He was utterly conflicted. "Oh no," he thought, "Chang Hao is so upright and honest, how can I possibly trick him?" To trick or not to trick?

"Fellow Daoist Qingwei, I intend to find a secluded mountain to build a cave dwelling. I wonder if you could provide some information?" Chang Hao asked expectantly. "It doesn't need to be a place of outstanding natural beauty, just a place with clear waters and lush mountains, rarely visited by people."

With no hope of becoming an apprentice, Chang Hao had no intention of returning after leaving Zixiao Palace.

Tongtian pondered for a moment, "Mount Buzhou is the territory of the Wu tribe. If we open a cave nearby, we may not have peace. However, Mount Kunlun meets your expectations. Why don't you come back to Mount Kunlun with me?"

"Fellow Daoist is too kind," Chang Hao said with a smile. "There's no need for you to trouble yourself. This matter is all about fate. If the time is right, things will fall into place naturally." Kunlun Mountain is so good, it has already been divided up. How could he possibly get a piece of the pie?
