Chapter 110 Who are you?

Chapter 110 Who are you?

Manluo endured it and stood for a while. She used the excuse of going to the toilet and found an opportunity to slip out of Changle Palace.

The bustling atmosphere of the gilded palace suddenly faded away. Manluo took a deep breath of fresh air and fluttered around like a bird out of its cage.

At this moment, her lower abdomen began to growl again. Manluo rubbed her belly and ran straight to the back alley of the imperial kitchen - she had sneaked into the palace several times and was familiar with the side doors.

While the chefs were busy, she skillfully took out the oil paper from under the steamer and wrapped a golden and shiny roast chicken.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the neatly arranged osmanthus cakes on the table and grabbed a bag - Xiyan that girl loved sweets the most, unlike her, who only liked to drink and eat meat.

Thinking that she must be hungry by now, I decided to bring her a bag of imperial pastries to try.

When she turned around to leave the imperial kitchen, she saw several jars of osmanthus wine placed side by side in the corner. She picked up a small jar and ran out.

She thought about it and remembered what Xiyan said, that Qingxi Cottage was secluded and deserted, perfect for enjoying delicious food.

So, she secretly avoided the crowd, walked along the mossy path, and wandered into the Qingxi Cottage.

At this moment, the pear blossoms have fallen and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. A breeze blows by, the water ripples beside the stream, and petals occasionally fall. The air is pleasant and fragrant.

Manluo doesn't care whether this place is beautiful or not.

The reason why we chose this place is that it is secluded and secondly, after eating the roast chicken, we can wash our hands by the stream.

She found a cherry tree, sat on a stone bench, tore off the oil paper, and started to eat the roast chicken.

After a few bites of roast chicken, I felt thirsty. With a click, I opened the kettle and gulped down a few more mouthfuls of osmanthus wine.

After a good meal and a refreshing drink, she swung her slender legs with a sense of contentment and hummed a tune she had heard in a brothel, with a mixture of three parts of sass and seven parts of debauchery:

"The man from East Street and the man from West Street, the silver coins on their waists jingle. My sister loves the handsome man, but she loves the butcher even more, the man who cuts the pig with his knife and cuts the pig's heart..."

The last sound was so long that it startled the birds sleeping in the trees and made them fly away.

She giggled, took a bite of the chicken leg, and smiled with dimples:

“…My heart is broken…”

Then, she tilted her head back and took another sip of wine, when she suddenly heard the rustling of clothes behind her.

Turning around, I saw a handsome man standing at the moon-shaped cave entrance. His red robe was rustling in the warm wind, and there was a coldness between his brows like ice chips.

It was Chu Jin.

"The Regent's upbringing is worrying. How dare a mere servant girl steal in the palace!"

His sharp eyes swept over the chicken bones at Manluo's feet, then stopped at the corner of her shiny mouth and frowned in disgust.

When Manluo saw that it was him, she felt extremely unlucky.

This guy is really haunting her. Why does she run into him wherever she goes?

Or, was he suspicious of her and deliberately testing her?

However, Manluo is not afraid of him.

She licked her fingertips slowly, stood up, and bowed respectfully, but her words were devoid of any respect:

"Master Imperial Master, you control everything, yet you still control my servant's chicken? Could it be that you only drink dew on weekdays and can't even stand the smell of human life?"

As she spoke, she tore off half a chicken leg, stuffed it into her mouth, and deliberately chewed the chicken bones until they made a crackling sound.

Chu Jin stared at the uncouth woman eating heartily under the cherry tree, and inexplicably recalled the look of the woman in white clothes looking back under the pear tree a month ago. She looked like a fairy who was unaware of the worldly affairs.

Comparing it with the guy in front of me with greasy hands and eating chicken in big mouthfuls, I feel even more disgusted.

Same venue, same women, why is there such a big gap?

Chu Jin frowned and approached:

"Your name is Hongying?"

He had always been suspicious of this woman. He didn't know why, but from the first time he saw her, he felt uncomfortable all over. Inexplicably, he associated her with that Zisha.

Although the appearance, voice, and even smell were different, there was a sense of familiarity that made him feel uneasy.

Seeing that woman sneaking out of the hall, he followed her.

Her every move was caught in his eyes.

He only felt that the violence in his blood was like a wasteland burned by wildfire. He knew he should restrain himself, but he couldn't suppress it.

Manluo saw him slowly walking towards her, his steps intimidating. She knew he was suspicious, but she didn't panic. Instead, she smiled sweetly, raised the roast chicken in her hand, and moved closer to Chu Jin:

"Master, do you also want to taste this roast chicken?"

The two were just a few feet away from each other when Chu Jin suddenly stopped. The smell of alcohol mixed with the aroma of meat on Manluo's body made him take a step back.

"What a reckless servant!"

Manluo stuck out her small lilac tongue and licked the wine stains on her lips. The petals fell in her hair, making her pretty face look more charming.

Chu Jin only felt his throat tighten slightly:

"Who are you?"
