Chapter 183 Even if you die, don’t die here!
The orange brocade fabric drew a gorgeous arc in the air, looking a bit ostentatious.
Chu Jin caught it with one hand, curled his lips slightly, and then, the bright orange color waved between his hands, reflecting a ray of bright sunshine, and refracting a strange halo on the sea.
The leading shark suddenly braked, and its huge tail fin plowed a wall of water half a person's height in the sea. As it turned, its scales brushed against Chu Jin's ankles.
The rest of the sharks also swung their tails and dived, their gray shadows circling outside the orange halo, but they dared not get any closer.
"Walk!"
Chu Jin grabbed Manluo's wrist, and the two of them paddled desperately while the shark retreated.
As Manluo struggled, her outer skirt was exposed, and she looked so miserable that she didn't care about being shy. She just wanted to escape quickly.
When the soles of the feet finally touched the soft sand, the shark was seen from a distance not far away, and finally turned around and sank into the water.
Manluo let out a long sigh, collapsed beside the reef, and gasped for breath.
She glared at Chu Jin who was lying beside her, but saw that he was lying on his side without any movement.
Manluo stared at the flashy orange in his hand, feeling angry and embarrassed.
"Chu Jin, I'm not done with you!"
The man still didn't say a word.
Manluo turned her head to look at him, her heart skipping a beat for no apparent reason:
"Chu Jin, are you dead?"
The only sound on the rocky beach is the sobbing of the tide.
She climbed up suspiciously, her wet skirt brushing against Chu Jin's stiff legs, and gave him a light kick in the waist:
"Why are you pretending to be dead..."
But when he turned his body over, his voice stopped abruptly.
But Chu Jin's eyelashes trembled, and the blood flowing from the corner of his lips slid down his jaw into the depression of his collarbone, like a charming red plum.
Manluo suddenly remembered that he had just been hit on the back by the shark's tail fin. It seemed that he must have suffered internal injuries. Now that he had escaped danger, the taut string loosened and he felt relieved.
Manluo turned her head to look at the vast ocean, then stared at the isolated island behind her. The sea breeze blew up her messy hair, and the salty smell mixed with the blood from Chu Jin's body penetrated her nose. She suddenly shuddered and clenched her fists.
"Chu Jin, if you want to die, wait until we get back to Yandu! Don't die on this desolate island!"
Manluo cursed, but still bent down, grabbed Chu Jin's arm and tried to pull him up, but his heavy body made her stagger and her knee hit the sharp reef.
"asshole!"
Manluo fell down on the gravel, cursing, looking at the man's closed eyes, and suddenly felt her eyes sore.
There were low humming sounds all around, and the isolated island in the morning and evening looked like a lurking giant beast. The woods in the distance made a rustling sound in the sea breeze, which made it seem that only her rapid breathing was left in the world.
She was really a little scared. She hugged her thin shoulders tightly, her inner clothes soaked in sea water stuck to her body, and the chill ran up her spine.
"Oh my God, what sin have I committed? Am I going to die on this deserted island?"
Before he finished speaking, a few small pearls rolled down, mixed with the sea salt on his face, and stung his skin painfully.
"Why are you crying? I'm not dead!"
A hoarse male voice suddenly came from the side, startling Manluo so much that she jumped three feet high.
But Chu Jin had half sat up, propping himself up with his arms. His pale face was covered with gravel, but he was still struggling to move his lips:
"I, Chu Jin, am your nemesis. If you don't die, I will not die either!"
"You scared me, I thought you really kicked your legs!"
Manluo raised her hand to wipe away her tears, grabbed a handful of sand and threw it at him, but he dodged it by turning his head.
Chu Jin looked at her red eyes and bloody lips, and his smile deepened. However, when his injury was aroused, he suddenly coughed and choked out a few mouthfuls of blood foam.
Manluo was shocked: "Even if you die, don't die here!"
"Why don't you help me find a place to shelter from the wind and rain?"
"You're the only one who has so much trouble!"
Manluo glared at him, but still moved to his side and put her arms around his waist with gritted teeth.
The two of them supported each other to stand up and walked towards the island.
The deeper they went, the more shocked they were. This place was truly a paradise.
The June sea breeze, wrapped in the fragrance of grass and trees, blew towards her face. The island was covered with wild raspberries and lavender irises. As she passed through a bamboo forest, Manluo's eyes suddenly lit up:
There is a natural cave in the depression of the mountain wall. The entrance of the cave is covered with green ivy, and the purple-black fruits of wild grapes can be vaguely seen hanging among the leaves.
"Here it is!"
She grabbed a few handfuls of hay, laid Chu Jin down on the dry moss, and quickly went to pick up dry branches and leaves.
When the bonfire was lit, the cave finally became warm, and the wet clothes on the two men gradually dried up.
The firelight made Manluo's profile look unusually soft.
Chu Jin stared at the dancing flames and suddenly chuckled:
"I didn't expect that this deity and you, a bitch, really have such a deep connection. Once like this, twice like this, still like this."
Chu Jin felt inside his arms. Fortunately, the hemostatic pill had not been washed away by the water. He poured out a pill, swallowed it, and fell asleep.
