Chapter 124 He's Here
I turned and left the yard, heading towards the kitchen. I woke up early this morning because I was hungry; I hadn't eaten much last night, and I woke up hungry in the early hours of the morning.
The monks eat in a dining hall where all the food is prepared and then all the monks eat together.
Only highly accomplished monks or abbots would personally deliver these items to them.
Every time Feng Qingge came, the little monk would bring her food. This time, she woke up early and was very hungry, so she went to get the food herself.
In the large dining hall, many bald monks sat at long tables. Feng Qingge recognized most of them and could even call them by name. When she arrived, all the monks were surprised, but they still greeted her, since they were acquaintances.
She took a bowl and plate and asked the monk serving the food to fill it with porridge. The porridge was thick and made entirely of white rice. Her breakfast consisted of steamed buns and white porridge. The monk also filled another plate with a large steamed bun.
"Third Young Master, here you go." He held up a plate with a steaming hot bun on it, about the size of a bowl.
Feng Qingge hesitated for a moment, then reached out and took it. She wanted to say that she didn't need so much, but thinking that she was too hungry in the morning and that this much would be enough to finish, she brought it over.
She was carrying a tray with a large bowl of porridge and four large steamed buns on it. Anyone who didn't know her would think she had a huge appetite.
"Third Young Master, sit here." The little monk on the other side beckoned her over. Feng Qingge approached with a plate, but didn't sit down. She just patted his head and said, "Little Wu, eat well. I still have to bring food to Master." She patted his bald head, said something to him, and then left.
The little monk opened his mouth, as if to say something, but Feng Qingge had already walked away. In fact, he just wanted to say that someone had already delivered it to Master Shikong.
But the man was in a hurry to leave, and he didn't even have a chance to speak.
Feng Qingge thought that if she couldn't finish it all by herself, there was still Shi Kong; the two of them should be able to finish it.
So she tried her best to walk back, because she was so hungry.
A short while later, he returned to the courtyard, but instead of going into his own room, he went straight into Shikong's room.
He pushed open the door and went inside, only to find that there was no one there except for Shi Kong.
"Master." Holding a bowl of rice, Feng Qingge stared blankly at Shi Kong eating. How could he possibly eat all that food?!
"Ge'er? What's wrong?" Shi Kong saw her come in with a rice bowl, so he put down his chopsticks and looked up at her.
Feng Qingge quickly shook her head, "It's alright, you go ahead and eat, I'm going back to eat too." With a bitter face, she left and closed the door with one hand.
If she had known he had food, she wouldn't have eaten so much! She's going to stuff herself to death!
Carrying the things into his room, he had just stepped inside when he discovered that someone was sitting at the table.
He wore a magnificent purple robe with gold thread running through the cuffs and a jade belt around his waist, exuding an air of nobility and carrying a cold demeanor.
"Did you bring so much food because you discovered I was here, so you prepared it for me?" the person in the purple robe asked, turning his face so that Feng Qingge could finally see who it was.
She had seen the hem of his clothes fluttering and that familiar figure before she went out. She never expected it to really be him, Mo Linyuan!
"Hmph, I ate it myself." He raised his chin, his nostrils flared, and gave a light snort. Even after so long, he was still as handsome as ever.
