Chapter 53 Falling Asleep While Playing Chess

Upon hearing this, the person opposite chuckled, stretched out his right hand (which wasn't holding a chess piece), and touched Feng Qingge's head gently, saying, "You must never say that again."

Feng Qingge didn't care much. He rubbed the top of her head without any resistance, and even seemed to enjoy it. She was already sleepy, and the rubbing made her even sleepier.

She withdrew her hand, placed a piece, and waited for the person opposite her to make a move. However, quite a while had passed, and she still hadn't made a move. So Feng Qingjue looked up and saw that the person was leaning against the armrest, with her eyes slightly lowered, nestled in the chair, her black hair falling onto her dark red robe, looking extremely alluring.

He spoke softly, calling her name, "Qingge, Qingge?"

After two calls, she still didn't react, so they realized she had fallen asleep.

He sighed, then chuckled. It was fortunate that he was his older brother; if he were this careless with others, his identity would surely be exposed.

Then, Feng Qingjue threw the chess piece in her hand into the chess cup with a clatter.

He got up, walked to Feng Qingge's side, bent down to look at her innocent sleeping face, and shook his head helplessly.

Then, with a strong pull, he picked up the sleeping person and turned back into the wooden building.

Feng Qingge slept very well, sleeping until dark. If she hadn't been so hungry, she probably would have slept until dawn.

Over here, after waking up, she got out of bed, sat down at the table, poured herself a glass of water, and slowly drank it.

Outside, Qi Quan, who was feeling somewhat drowsy, heard the noise and immediately came to his senses. He then carried in a candle and immediately saw the person sitting at the table.

"Young master, you're awake. Are you hungry? I'll bring you some food right away." Qi Quan said, putting down the lamp. He seemed to know Feng Qingge well and knew she would wake up hungry.

The person at the table, after drinking tea, felt much more awake, but was still somewhat confused. "How did I end up back in my room?" She remembered that she was in the courtyard in the afternoon, and she felt sleepy, so she went to sleep. How did she end up in her room when she woke up?

"Oh, it's the Second Young Master. He saw you were asleep, so he carried you back." Qi Quan finished speaking, turned around and walked out, presumably to heat up her food.

A short while later, the person who had gone out brought back in with delicious food, set out the dishes, and handed the bowls and chopsticks to Feng Qingge.

"Young master, please have some."

Feng Qingge nodded, took the bowl and chopsticks, and said, "Go downstairs. I'll eat and then go to sleep. I'll clean up these tomorrow." He looked so sleepy, yet he was still forcing himself to be energetic and serve her.

Qi Quan nodded, turned around and left. He was indeed extremely sleepy; it was almost midnight.

Feng Qingge quickly finished her meal, satisfying her protesting stomach, then turned back to the bedside, climbed onto the bed, and continued to sleep.

Early in the morning, there was a commotion inside the house. Feng Qingge had gotten up very early that day, which surprised Qi Quan, who had come to deliver toiletries, for quite a while.

The court session ended late today, so Feng Cang has not yet returned. Feng Qingjue's courtyard is next to hers, separated only by a wall.

If there's any movement here, you can hear it there, so he came over as soon as Feng Qingge got up.

Everyone in the manor knew she got up late. This sudden early rise startled many people. After Feng Qingjue arrived, he teased her a couple of times, and then the two of them had breakfast together.

After they finished their meal, Feng Cang hurriedly returned, but he only changed his clothes and had breakfast before leaving again.
