Chapter 69: Calling Her to Eat

Regardless of his status, the master and servant walked away on their own, leaving the two of them standing in the cold wind.

"Your Highness, what should we do?" It seemed that Young Master Feng did not want them to follow.

Mo Linyuan raised his lowered eyes, which suddenly shone brightly and were full of brilliance.

Without saying a word, he stepped into the inn, proving everything with his actions.

Mo Linyuan didn't know what was wrong with him; the more she pushed him away or even distanced herself from him, the more he wanted to go to her.

The two entered the inn, only to find that Feng Qingge and her servant had vanished. As his master's expression grew increasingly grim, Hei Ming hurriedly asked the innkeeper, "Where are those two people who went in just now?"

Seeing that they were well-dressed and didn't seem like bad people, the innkeeper told them the truth, "The young master just now asked for rooms number one and number two of the highest tier, and has already gone upstairs to rest."

Hei Ming nodded upon hearing this, but before he could say anything, Mo Linyuan spoke up, "In that case, we'll go to the next room."

Ignoring the shopkeeper's suspicious gaze, Hei Ming slowly spoke, "We came together, and we also need to take good care of the two horses outside."

Upon hearing that they were from the same group, the shopkeeper had no further suspicion. "Very well, gentlemen, come on in." With that, he picked up the key hanging on the wall behind him, walked out from behind the counter, and went upstairs.

The innkeeper led the two to the room opposite where Feng Qingge had stayed. Then he went downstairs. The two horses outside looked like fine horses, so he specifically instructed the waiter to take good care of them.

The two people who came today both seemed to be of great importance, so he naturally served them with great care.

The four people were in four rooms above each other. Although they were not next to each other, they faced each other in pairs. They could see each other as soon as they stepped out of the door.

Feng Qingge and Qi Quan could naturally hear the commotion outside, but she had important matters to attend to at the moment, and as long as Mo Linyuan didn't cause any trouble, she wouldn't pay him much attention.

They had just arrived in Jinzhou and were unfamiliar with the place, but they had already notified the person who had entrusted them with the task, and they expected that someone would come to invite them in a few days.

Braving the cold wind all the way to Jinzhou, Feng Qingge finally arrived at the inn. All she wanted to do was rest, so she ignored her still protesting stomach and collapsed onto the bed.

She slept until dark, and if someone hadn't knocked on the door, she probably would have slept until dawn the next day.

In her daze, she heard a knocking on the door. Feeling quite annoyed, Feng Qingge got up, ignoring her disheveled clothes, put on her shoes, and went to the door.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Mo Linyuan, dressed in a black robe, standing at the door, looking at her with a leisurely air.

Perhaps he didn't expect the door to open suddenly; he thought he would have to knock for a while longer, after all, he had witnessed the man's sleeping prowess before.

However, Mo Linyuan paused when he saw her come out. He saw that the girl inside the door had an impatient look on her fair face. Her hair was half-loose and hanging down in front of her. Her dark red long robe was hanging messily on her body, with the collar wide open, revealing the white inner garment underneath.

"What is it?" A slightly impatient voice drew Mo Linyuan's attention back.

"Eat." He looked at her quietly, his words extremely simple.

Right now, Feng Qingge just wanted to point her finger at him and curse him. Damn it, he was in such a hurry to knock on her door just to call her for dinner?

Damn it, can't we just have some fun in peace?!

With a tense face and eyes filled with irritation, she said, "I'm not eating." She reached out to close the door, shutting the person out.

However, Mo Linyuan was quick-witted and nimble. As she closed the door, he blocked it with his palm and stepped inside at the same time.
