Seeing this, Hei Ming lowered the carriage curtain, jumped onto the carriage shaft, and drove away from the mansion.
Before long, the carriage passed through several quiet streets and then left the city gate.
Hei Ming drove the carriage out of the city without making a sound. Feng Qingge, who was in the carriage, finally realized, "Hei Ming, where are we going?"
"Reporting to the young master, the guards came this morning to say that the body has been found, but it has already been buried." So they are on their way to the burial site.
"Where is your prince?" Does he mean to send her alone? He's just trying to avoid trouble.
However, Feng Qingge was clearly wrong. "The prince set off as soon as he received the news, and then sent his subordinates to pick up the third young master. By now, the prince must have already arrived." She explained calmly on Mo Linyuan's behalf.
"Are we there? Let's hurry up." It always feels bad to keep others waiting.
Outside the car, Hei Ming responded and sped up. The suburbs were not like the city, and they were not on the official road, but on dirt roads, which were very bumpy, making the two people in the car feel like they were about to fall apart.
Before I could even tell Hei Ming to slow down, we had already arrived.
"Ouch, my back!" As soon as she got off the carriage, Feng Qingge clutched her back and groaned in pain; the jostling had nearly broken her.
Qi Quan, who had come down first, quickly reached out to support her; in fact, his own backside was almost shaken raw. "Young Master, are you alright?"
"It's nothing." She rubbed her buttocks and waist inelegantly behind her back. That Black Netherworld guy was really a handful for her.
Then, the three of them walked toward a small grove of trees. That place was a cemetery where most ordinary people or those who were poor were buried wherever they were, or simply wrapped in a mat and left in the countryside.
This place is extremely yin and cold. I didn't pay attention when I got off the bus, and I was only concerned about my back and buttocks hurting. The deeper I go, the colder it feels, and there are many wandering ghosts.
In just a few short steps, Feng Qingge encountered three lonely ghosts, two men and one woman, standing separately, seemingly unconscious, mumbling like wooden figures.
These ghosts are all wandering spirits, without any attachments yet unwilling to dissipate, thus remaining in the human world. However, these wandering spirits cannot harm people, because they cannot leave their burial place and can only linger there.
As she walked, shaking her head, Feng Qingge was somewhat speechless. Rather than living a muddled and aimless life as a wandering ghost, she would rather be reborn.
"We've arrived," Hei Ming said in a low voice, interrupting her thoughts.
Following Hei Ming's gaze, they saw several people standing in front of a solitary grave. The one leading them was none other than Mo Linyuan, accompanied by Qin Hong, whom they had met a few days ago, and several constables.
Feng Qingge raised an eyebrow, seemingly puzzled as to why there were so many people here, but she didn't ask anything. She was just there to see what the corpse looked like.
"Your Highness." Feng Qingge chuckled and greeted the aloof and cold man. Among all the people present, only she was so bold and so familiar with the situation.
Mo Linyuan stood with his hands behind his back, his dark hair flowing down his back, occasionally a few strands fluttering in the breeze, creating a beautiful scene. Hearing Feng Qingge greet him, he turned around and gave a soft "hmm."
"Come and take a look." He raised an eyebrow, gesturing for her to come forward.
Feng Qingge had no suspicions, so she stepped forward and stood beside him. The two of them, one in black and the other in dark red, had their clothes fluttering in the wind and intertwined, looking surprisingly well-matched.
Looking up, I saw that the grave had been dug up.
