Chapter 89 Encountering a Ghost

Chapter 89 Encountering a Ghost

Mo Linyuan looked up and realized that she had turned to look at him without him noticing.

He then nodded slightly, raised his hand and swirled the teacup, not spilling a single drop of water. "Hmm, this is authentic pre-rain Longjing tea."

Feng Qingge frowned, poured herself a cup and tasted it, then smacked her lips, still unable to discern the flavor.

"To me, they're all the same," he said, setting down his cup.

"The processing methods for different types of tea are different, some are simple and some are complicated, so they naturally taste different." He put down his cup, glanced at her, and his clear, cool voice was incredibly pleasant to listen to.

However, Feng Qingge clearly didn't want to listen at the moment. She didn't understand these things; she was just an ordinary person, and only material possessions could move her.

"Your Highness is truly learned and talented. If you don't forget, you can always go and make tea. I guarantee you'll make a fortune." He chuckled twice, offering a compliment while also adding a touch of sarcasm.

Perhaps sensing her dissatisfaction and sarcasm, Mo Linyuan fell silent, but he felt quite helpless.

The two sat for a while longer, chatting idly when they got bored, but most of the time Feng Qingge would shut Mo Linyuan up and leave him speechless.

The sky outside gradually darkened, and soon it was completely dark; night had finally arrived.

Before long, a knocking sound came from outside the mansion gate. The dull sound carried all the way into the hall, finally silencing the two people who were chatting idly inside.

"They're here." Feng Qingge stood up and stared at the tightly closed door. The steward and servants nearby hurriedly ran to open it.

The heavy vermilion gate creaked open, and sure enough, Lin Yong stood outside.

The group hurriedly welcomed him in, then closed the door. Lin Yong and the butler then walked into the hall together.

"Master, you're finally back! The Third Young Master has been waiting for you for a long time," the steward reported as he walked in.

Lin Yong nodded upon hearing this. "Where is the Third Young Master?"

"They're waiting in the front hall," the butler replied, gesturing to the two people currently standing in front of the hall door.

Lin Yong looked up, then waved for the steward to leave. The steward had wanted to ask if dinner was served, but before he could even ask, he had no choice but to leave.

"Master Lin must be very busy; it's not easy for me to see you." As the man drew closer, Feng Qingge couldn't help but tease him.

"Young Master is too kind. You must be in such a hurry to see me because there has been a breakthrough in the matter of the haunting in the manor." Lin Yong stepped forward, waving his hand with a smile, but he knew why she had come.

"Master Lin is clever." Feng Qingge raised an eyebrow, gave a thumbs up, and praised him.

"You flatter me, Third Young Master. Please." He gestured for the two to enter the hall for a talk.

"I wonder what progress the Third Young Master has made?" Lin Yong was quite anxious about this matter. As long as there was unrest in the manor, he couldn't put his mind at ease.

Feng Qingge understood his thoughts, but this situation was special, and she estimated that he would be frightened if he found out.

"We've found the ghost, but this is a difficult matter for me to handle, so I'll have to ask you, Master Lin, to come in person." She hesitated for a moment, but decided it was better to just say it directly.

Lin Yong looked troubled, but since Feng Qingge insisted, he couldn't refuse, especially since this was originally a matter for his residence.

"Okay." She nodded, finally agreeing.

Feng Qingge nodded in agreement. She hadn't revealed who the ghost was, only that he should be the one to handle it, so he was definitely unsure.

When normal people encounter ghosts, they experience this kind of psychology: fear mixed with curiosity.
