Chapter 112 Feng Qingyun Invites Guests

The following day, in a private room at Mingyue Tower.

Rong Qi looked around the large private room and saw that it contained only him, Jiao Jiao, and Feng Qingyun.

Jiaojiao invited him over, but didn't say why. Looking at the mysterious brother and sister, Rong Qi was suspicious.

"Jiaojiao, why did you ask me to come to Mingyue Tower today?"

In truth, Rong Qi wanted to ask himself, why bring Feng Qingyun along as a third wheel when you invite me to dinner?

Feng Qinghuang shook her head: "Aqi, it wasn't me. It was your brother who invited you today. He's treating."

Upon hearing Jiao Jiao's words, Rong Qi turned to look at Feng Qingyun: "What advice do you have?"

Feng Qingyun quickly shook her head: "Rong Qi, I shouldn't have picked a fight with you the other day, and I shouldn't have spoken to you so harshly. Please don't take it to heart."

"Which day? What happened?"

Hearing him say that meant he didn't take it to heart, Feng Qingyun felt relieved.

“Rong Qi, I invited you here to ask what the Emperor’s preferences are. I was thinking, should I send him something in advance? That way, he won’t change his mind and refuse to marry his daughter to me when the time comes.”

Rong Qi glanced at him: "You think the imperial edict is a joke?"

Feng Qingyun shook her head frantically: "No, no, I just feel that the imperial edict is issued by the Emperor after all. What if he wants to take it back...? No one can stop that, right?"

"Since the imperial edict has already been issued, it is unlikely to be revoked easily unless you commit some heinous crime. You can put your mind at ease."

Feng Qingyun nodded. "Is that so? Then I have nothing to worry about."

However, Feng Qingyun was still unwilling to give up: "Since that's the case, why don't you tell me what the Emperor's preferences are? It's not a bad thing for me to find out my father-in-law's preferences in advance!"

Rong Qi thought for a moment and realized he didn't seem to have any particular hobbies, except for food. It wouldn't be a good thing if the public discovered what a country's emperor's hobbies were, would it?

"As far as I know, his hobby is the same as Jiaojiao's: eating. Otherwise, where do you think I got all of Jiaojiao's food from?"

Feng Qinghuang and Feng Qingyun...

Is this the hobby of an emperor?

But the food in the palace is incomparable to what you can find outside. It's going to be difficult for him to please them!

Feng Qingyun was miserable; trying to please her future father-in-law was really not easy.

Feng Qinghuang: "Aqi, if you get me food from the Emperor, will he be willing?"

Rong Qi smiled and said, "What could he possibly be unwilling about? If he's unwilling, I'll empty his ice cellar."

"Hahahaha, Aqi, you're such a good nephew. The Emperor is probably going to scold you a lot behind your back."

Rong Qi: "Let him curse all he wants, but that won't stop me from getting food for Jiao Jiao. If Jiao Jiao wants some, I'll personally take you to the palace's ice cellar next time, okay? But you need to wear something warm, it's too cold inside."

Feng Qinghuang nodded: "Yes, okay, Aqi."

Feng Qingyun looked at the two of them, who had already planned to go to the Emperor's ice cellar to get food, and thought it was all very unreliable.

Rong Qi, you can act recklessly in front of the Emperor, but don't push my little sister into a pit of fire!

"Sister, don't follow Rong Qi's nonsense. The ice cellar in the palace isn't something you can just walk into whenever you want."

Upon hearing her brother's words, Feng Qinghuang turned to look at Rong Qi.

Rong Qi touched her little face: "It's okay, I'll take Jiao Jiao with me, then there won't be any problems."

"Yes, Aqi is the best. I've never been to the palace's ice cellar."

Rong Qi: "There's not much left inside now. We'll go get it after the New Year, when other countries send their tributes."

Feng Qinghuang covered her mouth and chuckled, "Mmm, okay."

Feng Qinghuang silently thanked Rong Qi, her nephew, on behalf of the Emperor. However, she still decided to go; after all, she enjoyed the delicious food!

And since it's a tribute item, it must contain many things she's never eaten or seen before, so it must be very delicious.

Looking at Jiao Jiao, who was engrossed in her own imagination, Rong Qi felt that he had grasped Jiao Jiao's weakness.

As long as food is mentioned, no matter how far the journey or how bad the environment, Jiaojiao will go with her.

Feng Qingyun looked at her younger sister, who agreed to everything Rong Qi said, with a look of utter disappointment. "She'd sell you out and still count the money for him," she thought. "My sister is too naive."

However, Rong Qi, that scoundrel, actually used his sister's love for the food as an excuse; he really went too far.

Sigh, even though I learned about the Emperor's preferences today, it's practically the same as not knowing at all. And it cost him so much money, it really hurts.

That scoundrel Rong Qi really got off easy.
