Chapter 129 Rong Qi's Little Uncle

The two talked in the yard for a while before they heard a noise outside.

Feng Qinghuang quickly stood up and ran towards the courtyard gate: "Master, Master, Huang'er is here."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, the old man Wuji quickly looked towards the courtyard and, sure enough, saw his youngest apprentice.

"Oh dear, Huang'er is here. Did you miss your master?"

Feng Qinghuang ran over and hugged her master, not minding that he was all dirty.

"Huang'er misses Master so much."

After saying that, he peeked out again and looked to the side: "I miss my eldest brother too. Oh, where's my second brother?"

The eldest brother smiled indulgently: "Your second brother has been down the mountain for several days now; he has some family matters to attend to."

Feng Qinghuang nodded: "Oh, Master, I brought Aqi and my brother with me."

Upon hearing that Rong Qi had arrived, the old man Wuji hurriedly headed in another direction, only to be stopped by someone else.

"Uncle, Aqi greets you. Now that you know I'm here, why are you leaving?"

It turns out that Jiaojiao's master is her uncle who disappeared many years ago. He was the famous Prince Xiaoyao in the capital back then. He was the youngest brother of her uncle, the emperor, and also the brother who was raised by her mother.

"Ahem, it's you, my child! You've grown so much, I almost didn't recognize you."

Feng Qinghuang's gaze lingered between the two men. "Uncle, then Master is also a member of the royal family?"

Rong Qi: "Yes, Uncle has been hiding for fifteen years. If Jiaojiao hadn't brought me here, I wouldn't have known that Jiaojiao's master was Uncle. It turns out Uncle has been on this mountain all along, no wonder we couldn't find him anywhere."

"Master, you're Aqi's uncle? How come this is? You never mentioned it before!"

The old man Wuji scratched his head: "There's nothing to mention about this. Your master will explain it to you properly later. Let's go into the courtyard first."

Wuji walked into the courtyard and came to Rong Qi's side. Looking at Rong Qi's face, which was seven or eight parts similar to her sister's, Rong Jin's eyes reddened, and she patted Rong Qi's shoulder.

"Good boy, it's so similar."

"Uncle, you've been hiding for a long time. Your uncle and the others miss you very much."

Rong Jin nodded: "I know, they have been looking for me. Back then, in a fit of anger, I hid in this mountain, partly to cultivate myself and partly to atone for my sins."

Rong Qi shook his head: "Uncle, it's not your fault."

"If I hadn't brought that person to meet your mother back then, there wouldn't have been the subsequent wars and the marriage alliance. And that led to your mother..."

Rong Qi helped him up: "Alright, Uncle, so many years have passed, let's not talk about it now, we've never blamed you."

Rong Jin: "I know you have never blamed me, but I am unwilling to face you in my heart, so I thought of withdrawing from the world and finding some peace and quiet."

At this moment, Rong Jin was overcome with sorrow as she recalled the past, and her whole being felt desolate.

Unable to bear seeing her master like this, Feng Qinghuang quickly changed the subject: "Master, how old are you? Why are you still crying? I stopped crying when I was three years old."

Sure enough, the trick worked. Rong Jin glared at his little apprentice: "You still have to talk. I don't know who cried the most when we were little. They cried so much that they almost soaked my clothes. Every day, I could squeeze two basins of water out of my clothes."

Feng Qinghuang retorted, "Master, you're exaggerating. I'm so young, how could I possibly shed so many tears?"

Rong Jin: "Hmph, when you were little, didn't your master take care of everything for you, from eating and drinking to relieving yourself? You even wet the bed. And now you're complaining about your master."

Feng Qinghuang covered her face and said, "Master, you're so mean! You actually said I wet the bed. I'll let the wolf bite you!"

“It wouldn’t dare. I just fed it yesterday. It won’t.”

Feng Qinghuang's beautiful eyes darted around as she walked to the alpha wolf's side and whispered something in its ear.

Suddenly, Wolf Da leaped up and pounced on Rong Jin. Seeing this, the old man Rong Jin quickly ran, with Wolf Da giving chase.

Wolf kept teasing Rong Jin, biting her clothes and then letting go.

"Big Wolf, have you forgotten? I fed you a lot of meat yesterday. You can't be ungrateful. Have you forgotten that when that little girl wasn't around, I was the one who fed you and played with you? And now you dare to chase after me?"

Wolf Big howled behind them, but still didn't give up chasing Rong Jin.

Looking at the lively courtyard, Rong Qi sighed inwardly. He thought that his uncle must not have been lonely all these years, and with several apprentices by his side, his uncle must have been living a very happy life.

Especially with Jiaojiao, the little bundle of joy, by your side, it's hard not to be happy.

"Jiaojiao, what did you just say to that wolf?"

Feng Qinghuang chuckled: "I'll have it pull down Master's pants and then give it lots of meat."

Rong Qi pinched her little face helplessly: "That's your master, and he'll be your elder in the future."

Feng Qinghuang waved her hand: "Oh, it's alright. We've always been like this on the mountain. Master is used to it. Besides, Master was unhappy just now, and I don't want to make Master unhappy."

Rong Qi pulled her into his arms: "Jiaojiao is so good."

Feng Qinghuang replied proudly, "Of course."
