Chapter 133 Snow Lion Entrusts the Cub

On the last night of Feng Qinghuang's stay at Wuji Mountain, she suddenly heard a pack of wolves making a ruckus in the courtyard. Feng Qinghuang rushed to the courtyard to check the situation.

Everyone else also rushed out of the house, thinking that some danger was about to strike.

Seeing the snow lion standing outside the door, carrying two little cubs on its back, Feng Qinghuang quickly ran over.

"Little Lion, what's wrong? Why are you looking for me so late? Is there something you need?"

The snow lion took a few steps forward, roaring as if it were in a hurry.

After listening, Feng Qinghuang asked, "Won't there be any danger?"

The snow lion shook its head and roared.

Feng Qinghuang nodded: "Alright, I can take care of them for you first, but you must be careful. These are all medicines for injuries. You must take them and come back, otherwise I will throw the little cubs away."

Snow Lion knew that Phoenix was just joking, so he didn't take it seriously. But when he was about to leave, he looked at the two little cubs with reluctance.

The two little cubs seemed to sense that their mother was about to leave them, and they kept whimpering.

Helpless, Feng Qinghuang held the two cubs in her arms and told Xue Shi to go and rescue her husband without worry.

Rong Qi stepped forward and helped Feng Qinghuang hold the cub.

“Aqi, the little lion said she sensed her husband was in danger, so she went to save him. She asked me to help her take care of the cubs, but I don’t really know how.”

Rong Qi smiled and said, "It's alright. Once we return to the capital tomorrow, someone will take care of us. Besides, there's Aunt Feng Wang. Doesn't she love animals the most?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Qinghuang chuckled and said, "Aqi, you're so mean. Little Lion clearly asked me to take care of him, but you made my mother take care of him instead."

Rong Qi patted her little head: "Isn't Jiao Jiao still a child? How can she take care of cubs? Otherwise, let Aunt Feng teach you, or you can take care of them yourself. Aqi is trying to find a solution for you, isn't he?"

Feng Qinghuang nodded: "That makes sense, but knowing Mother's personality, I don't think I have much of a chance of taking care of her. Sigh, the Fengwang Mansion is about to turn into a zoo."

Feng Qingyun sighed helplessly: "He was already afraid of wolves, and now there are two more snow lions. What will his life be like from now on!"

Rong Qi led her back into the house and held the other cub in his arms as well.

"Jiaojiao, go to sleep first. I'll take the cub back to take care of it."

Feng Qinghuang lay obediently on the bed: "How are you going to take care of Aqi?"

Rong Qi smiled calmly: "Let them sleep."

Upon hearing this, Feng Qinghuang wondered if it meant they should go to sleep, as she had imagined. She thought, "Aqi, you absolutely mustn't use force! The little cubs are still so young; they won't be able to withstand it."

Rong Qi could see Feng Qinghuang's anxiety; Jiao Jiao was such a lovable little worrywart.

"Don't worry, I'll have Rongyi watch over them and make sure they don't run around. Tomorrow morning, I'll have Rongyi go find some goat milk to feed them."

Feng Qinghuang nodded: "Yes, Aqi is so nice."

"Go to sleep."

Feng Qinghuang obediently closed her eyes, and Rong Qi then got up and left.

He went outside, handed the two cubs to Rongyi, and instructed him to take good care of the little snow lion.

"Go and put them to sleep, then go find some animal milk to feed them first thing tomorrow morning."

After Rong Qi finished speaking, he turned around and went back to his room.

Rongyi stood bewildered in the wind, holding two tiny cubs. Was she here to be a nanny? She would have to soothe them to sleep and feed them. Would she be able to do it? Rongyi could already imagine that if her master and mistress had a young master and a young lady in the future, she would probably be the nanny.

Feeling helpless, she could only resign herself to carrying the cubs back to her room, placing them on the bed, and staring at them for a while. Then, mimicking Feng Qinghuang's technique from earlier in the day, she gently stroked the cubs' bodies.

Throughout the night, the cub gradually relaxed, from its initial unease to eventually falling asleep.

It's easy to feel physically and mentally exhausted, and thinking about the future makes one sigh.

It seems he needs to get used to being a maid in advance; otherwise, if he can't even take care of the cubs now, how will he help his master take care of the young master or young lady in the future?

As she pondered, she drifted off to sleep. Before falling asleep, she made sure to cover herself and her cub with the blanket, and then used her body to block the edge of the bed tightly, for fear that the cub might roll over and fall off the bed in the middle of the night.

And so, the one person and the two cubs shared the same bed until dawn.
