Chapter 149 Rong Xiao Comes to Visit

Rong Jin lived in the Phoenix Prince's Mansion, and the first person to come and visit was Princess Rong Xiao.

She was Rong Yuan's daughter, so Rong Jin was naturally her uncle. As soon as she found out, she rushed over.

They had just arrived at Rong Jin's courtyard, which was the private courtyard that Feng Qingcang had arranged for him—Luoyu Pavilion.

Luoyu Pavilion is right next to Luoyue Pavilion. The courtyard is not large, but it is quiet and exquisite, which is suitable for Rong Jin, who loves peace and quiet.

Seeing Rong Xiao walk to the door, Feng Qingyun didn't dare let him go in, so she took his hand.

"Xiao'er, don't be afraid. Ninth Imperial Uncle is not fierce at all. There's no need to be afraid."

Rong Xiao looked at him nervously: "I'm a little nervous, it's our first time meeting."

Feng Qingyun encouraged her, "It's okay, just be yourself, don't be too nervous."

Rong Xiao nodded, took a deep breath, and stepped into Luoyu Pavilion.

Upon entering the courtyard, Rong Xiao looked around but didn't see anyone.

"Ninth Imperial Uncle, Rong Xiao has come to pay a visit."

After the voice faded, Rong Jin came out of the room and looked at the two people who had entered the courtyard.

He knew Feng Qingyun; he had met her a few times. He wondered who the little girl next to him was, though her face seemed somewhat familiar. She had just mentioned that her name was Rong Xiao, a member of the royal family.

Rong Xiao quickly stepped forward and bowed: "Niece Rong Xiao greets Ninth Imperial Uncle."

"Who are you......"

Rong Jin looked closely and confirmed that the person was indeed someone she had never seen before.

Rong Xiao: "My niece is Rong Xiao, the daughter of my father and mother, and Rong Xi is my elder brother."

Rong Jin then realized that she was Rong Yuan's elder brother's daughter, and indeed, his own niece.

"So you're my brother's daughter. No wonder you seem familiar. You weren't even born when I left. That explains it."

Rong Xiao smiled gently: "I have heard of your great name, Your Highness, but I have never met you. I never imagined that you were my sister Huang's master."

Rong Jin looked at the two holding hands and asked curiously, "What's going on between you two... Oh, the daughter my brother mentioned marrying into the Phoenix Prince's mansion on the mountain is you?"

Rong Jin slapped his forehead. No wonder the name and appearance seemed familiar. It turned out that his brother had mentioned her on the mountain, but he just couldn't remember her.

Feng Qingyun raised their clasped hands: "Just as Ninth Imperial Uncle saw, Xiao'er is my wife."

Rong Jin nodded: "Not bad, not bad, they're a good match. Qingyun should treat Xiao'er well. She's my own niece."

"Don't worry, Ninth Imperial Uncle, how could I possibly bully Xiao'er?"

Just as the group was talking, Feng Qinghuang suddenly ran in.

"Master, Master..."

"Oh, my brother and sister-in-law are here too!"

When Rong Jin saw her rushing in, he quickly said, "Huang'er, slow down, what's the rush?"

Feng Qinghuang stuck out her tongue: "I'm just bringing food to Master. Since Brother and Sister-in-law are here, let's eat together."

Feng Qinghuang instructed her servants to set out a table full of the pastries and fruits she had brought.

Rong Jin nodded as he ate: "Sure enough, when you come home with Huang'er, everything you need for food and lodging is provided."

Feng Qinghuang muttered under her breath, "You refused to come down the mountain with Master before."

Rong Jin tapped her on the head: "What did you say? Speak louder."

Feeling the pain, Feng Qinghuang quickly shrank her head.

"No, no, Master is right. Now that Master has come down the mountain, how could I possibly mistreat Master? Master, don't you agree?"

Rong Jin glanced at her and said, "You're such a clever little devil."

"Master, how is it? Is it delicious? These are all newly made pastries from the manor, and these fruits, some of them were sent from the palace. We can say we are benefiting from Master's good fortune."

Rong Jin naturally understood the meaning behind her words. She simply thought that the Emperor would only send things to their residence when he was there, and that the Emperor would not do these things when he was not there.

Rong Jin laughed in anger: "So, is this all the use I am in your residence?"

Feng Qinghuang quickly shook her head: "No, no, no, Master is very useful. You may not see it now, but you will in the future."

With her master around, she could walk sideways in the capital. Although she had never been afraid of anyone before, she felt at ease with her master by her side.

After all, her master was the person who had been with her the longest over the years and gave her the most sense of security.

Although she now has family and Rong Qi, her master remains the most important person in her heart.

The group ate and chatted until sunset before returning to their respective courtyards.
