Chapter 169 The Two-Faced You Moyao

A quarter of an hour later, the carriage approached the city gate, where some people and several carriages were already waiting.

Upon seeing the General's carriage approaching, the group of people had various thoughts.

You Bowu and Luo Yunya got off the carriage, and a tall, handsome man with sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes walked over.

"Bowu, Yunya, you've arrived. Now that we're all here, we can set off."

You Bowu cupped his hands and said, "Your Highness, I apologize for keeping you waiting. My father and mother gave me a few more instructions, so I am late."

Crown Prince You Xueming laughed heartily: "Not at all, it's not time to set off yet, so it's not late. We're just early. How have Aunt and Uncle been lately?"

"Your Highness, rest assured, Father and Mother are in good health."

After exchanging a few pleasantries, the Crown Prince waved and prepared to depart.

At this moment, a slender and delicate girl, supported by a maid, walked over. Looking at the spirited You Bowu, her face turned bright red.

She crouched down slightly: "Little General, Sister Yunya."

Princess Mo Yao.

You Bowu and Luo Yunya returned the greeting only symbolically; they disliked this pretentious princess.

You Moyao blushed and looked at Luo Yunya: "Sister Yunya, why don't you ride in a carriage with me? It's going to be a long journey to Qinglong Kingdom. I have some snacks in my carriage, so you won't get bored or hungry."

Luo Yunya shook her head: "Thank you for your kindness, Princess, but it's not necessary. I'm not used to it. I'd rather ride in the same carriage as my brother. Besides, I'm used to being carefree, and I don't want to bother you any further."

Hearing Luo Yunya's words, You Moyao felt somewhat embarrassed and indignant. If she hadn't taken a liking to Luo Yunya's brother, why would she have invited Luo Yunya to sit with her? She was truly ungrateful. She'd see how Luo Yunya would treat her sister-in-law after she married Luo Yunya.

However, You Moyao maintained her smile: "Oh, then never mind. We're about to set off, so Moyao will head back first."

"Princess, please take care."

After the brother and sister finished speaking, they turned around and went back to the carriage.

You Moyao had just reached the carriage when she thought the brother and sister would wait until she got in before returning to their own. But when she turned around, there was no one there.

You Moyao angrily pinched the maid's arm hard, and the maid dared not make a sound, for if she did, she would be even more upset later.

Once inside the carriage, You Moyao regained her composure and slapped her maid several times.

The maid covered her face and knelt down to the side, looking aggrieved.

You Moyao glared at the maid: "Were you also laughing at this princess just now?"

The maid shook her head, looking aggrieved: "No, absolutely not. How could I dare to laugh at the princess?"

"Hmph, you're smart enough to know your place. What is that damned Luo Yunya anyway? I, the princess, invited her, and she dared to refuse. She's utterly clueless. Just you wait."

The maid quickly interjected, "Your Highness, why bother arguing with a mere county princess? She is just the princess's daughter, while you are a true princess. The difference in status is vast."

Hearing this, You Moyao felt a little better: "Get up, put some medicine on your face, so no one can tell."

"Thank you, Your Highness."

You Moyao leaned back on the cushions, thinking how wonderful it would be if she could win over the young general and get rid of that troublesome Luo Yunya during this training trip. She had previously asked her mother to plead with her father to arrange a marriage between her and the young general, but her father couldn't make the decision. Hmph, it's probably because her father didn't want to hurt her sister, that he allowed the children of the general's family to have free choice in their marriages.

But it doesn't matter. If her father can't make the decision, she'll have to figure it out herself. If things are fait accompli and someone sees it, then regardless of whether her father can make the decision or not, she'll get what she wants.

As long as she can marry the young general, she doesn't mind using underhanded methods. As long as the result is what she wants, she'll do anything, even if it's a dirty trick.

She didn't care about reputation; it wouldn't give her what she wanted anyway. She'd known since childhood that she would get what she wanted no matter what.

The maid felt a chill run down her spine as she watched the princess's ever-changing expressions. She had witnessed the princess's methods before and wondered who she was plotting against now.

She was just a lowly maidservant. In the palace, a place of great corruption, it was a miracle she could even survive. She didn't dare to meddle in other people's business.

She only hoped that no one would be deceived by Princess You Moyao's appearance.
