Chapter 372 The Little Beggar at the Entrance of Mingyue Tower

That day, Feng Qinghuang, Rong Qi, Rong Xiao, and Feng Qingyun took Feng Bao and Wanwan out for a walk.

Two little ones walked hand in hand in front, with four adults following behind. The little ones seemed interested in everything, looking here and there, and occasionally huddling together to whisper something.

Three-year-old Fengbao also knows to protect her younger sister to prevent others from crowding her.

Because of the two little ones' identities, the people didn't dare to get too close. Moreover, the two little ones were so beautiful and clever that some of the vendors on both sides couldn't resist trying to give them food.

The children were very polite, remembering to say thank you after receiving their gifts. However, when Feng Qingyun passed by, she would pay the vendors. After all, they weren't short of money.

After strolling around the streets for a while, the two little ones were tired and asked to be carried, which Rong Qi readily agreed to. Feng Qingyun didn't really want to carry the little guy, mainly because he was too heavy, but with his wife nearby, he didn't dare not refuse.

Feng Qinghuang suggested, "Let's go to Mingyue Tower for lunch today."

Feng Muwan clapped her little hands happily in Rong Qi's arms: "Yay, yay, let's go to Mingyue Tower for dinner!"

Little Fengbao in Feng Qingyun's arms quickly chimed in, "Little sister, shall we go eat Eight Treasure Duck? Eight Treasure Duck is delicious."

Feng Muwan nodded: "Okay, brother, I want to eat more shark fin soup, lotus seed tofu, ginger fish slices, 'Golden Jade Abundance', shredded chicken and white fungus..."

Feng Muwan counted the dishes on her fingers, reciting them as if they were her own treasures, making the two little devils' mouths water.

Feng Qinghuang glanced at the two little ones and said, "There's a reason you're so fat. You don't order any vegetables, just meat. The only tofu dish you have is even with minced meat on it."

Rong Qi, on the other hand, looked proud and self-satisfied. "Look how great my daughter is! She ordered all of Mingyuelou's signature dishes. She truly deserves to be the young master of Mingyuelou."

As the group talked, they soon arrived at Mingyue Tower. The manager of Mingyue Tower rushed out to greet them as soon as he saw them.

"Masters, please come upstairs."

Anyway, now that everyone basically knows that Rong Qi is the owner of Mingyue Tower, the manager is no longer hiding it.

While going upstairs, Feng Qinghuang thought of the beggar she had just seen at the door and asked him a question.

"Uncle Qu, what was that beggar at the door just now?"

Upon hearing this, Manager Qu quickly explained, "I don't know either. She's been here for several days. The other day I saw that she was almost starving, so I gave her a few steamed buns. After asking her, I learned that she came from a very far place and said that her whole family had been wiped out. She's also a girl. I felt sorry for her, so I didn't send her away and just gave her some food every day. Don't worry, Madam, this money can be deducted from my monthly salary."

Manager Qu's wife felt that having a beggar at the door would affect Mingyue Tower's business.

"Uncle Qu, don't worry, I didn't mean that. I just saw it suddenly, so I asked. When you have time, Uncle Qu, and make sure she's okay, let her work in the shop. That way, she'll have a place to stay and won't go hungry."

When she passed by, she felt that the beggar looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn't recall any connection between them. Perhaps it was because the beggar's face was so dirty that her features were barely visible.

It's good to stay; maybe one day I'll remember it.

Upon hearing this, Manager Qu was so excited that he quickly expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you, Madam."

It wasn't that he was soft-hearted, but it was truly heartbreaking to see a little girl, barely ten years old, go through so much. He had no children of his own, and upon hearing about the little girl's ordeal, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

After Feng Qinghuang and the others entered the private room, they had the two children repeat the dishes they had just ordered to the innkeeper, and then they ordered two more vegetarian dishes.

"Yes, masters, please wait a moment."

After the shopkeeper left, Feng Qinghuang turned to Rong Qi and asked, "Qi, did you feel that the little beggar just now looked familiar?"

Rong Qi shook his head; he didn't feel anything. How could he possibly recognize other girls?

Feng Qinghuang knew this would be the answer, so she didn't insist. Oh well, maybe she'd misread it; she'd just thought about it and realized she didn't recognize a girl that age.

The meal was finally finished amidst the chatter of the two little ones. Feng Qinghuang, her head throbbing from their noise, temporarily forgot what had just happened.

After dinner, the group took the little ones home. On the way back, Fengbao and Wanwan talked for a while before Fengbao fell asleep in Rong Qi and Feng Qingyun's arms.

Feng Qinghuang and Rong Xiao stood hand in hand, watching this scene from behind. Sunlight shone on their faces, and the moment was peaceful and beautiful.
