Chapter 421 Returning to Tianling

Over the course of three years, Feng Qinghuang and Rong Qi traveled to many corners of the Tianling Continent. They helped others, spoke out for justice, and were misunderstood as having ulterior motives, but Feng Qinghuang and Rong Qi never cared.

Feng Qinghuang and Rong Qi are now in their thirties and have weathered many storms, so why would they care about such a small misunderstanding?

Over the course of three years, the two returned to the Tianwu Continent and visited their maternal grandfather's family, Rong Xi and Luo Yunya, and Rong Zhan's family in the Azure Dragon Kingdom. Seeing the prosperous Azure Dragon Kingdom and their families living in peace, the two were filled with emotion, wishing their families could still be there.

Meanwhile, at the Bright Moon Pavilion and Dark Night Pavilion in the Azure Dragon Kingdom, the two did not disturb them. One reason was that their minds had been entirely focused on Tianling in recent years, and Tianwu's businesses had been largely handed over to Rong Xi. Although there was nothing wrong with disturbing them, things were not the same as before.

The two then went to the Holy Feather Kingdom to visit their godfather and godmother. In recent years, even though their second senior brother was away, their godfather and godmother had managed the Holy Feather Kingdom as well as it had been before, making it as powerful and prosperous as ever. Their senior brother and sister-in-law would occasionally bring Di Yaoguang and Di Tianshu to visit them. Di Tianshu was born when Di Yaoguang was three years old, and he was about three years old now. Their second senior brother could now be considered to have both a son and a daughter.

Feng Qinghuang and Rong Qi also took the opportunity to pay respects to Rong Qi's parents. Feng Qinghuang stood with Rong Qi at the Crown Prince's residence for a long time, neither of them saying a word, yet both felt they had a thousand words to say to each other.

On their way back, the two also visited Youlan Kingdom to see their eldest brother's parents and Feng Qinghuang's uncle, Youlan Feng, who was now the retired emperor and enjoying his old age.

Feng Qinghuang told him some of the things her master had done over the years, which put his mind at ease.

As for India, there's not much to see there.

After leaving Youlan Kingdom, the two prepared to return to Tianling. Wanwan's eighteenth birthday was in a few days, and they didn't know if she would be able to come back. But regardless of whether she could return, they had to start preparing.

In Tianling, turning eighteen is a coming-of-age ceremony, so it's an indispensable part of Feng Muwan's life, no matter what. They had already tried to contact Wanwan telepathically through Lingjian, but hadn't received a reply yet.

The two found a secluded spot in the suburbs. Rong Qi made a hand seal, and a magic array door appeared out of thin air. After the two walked in, the magic array door disappeared.

When it reappears, it will be the City of the Sky.

The two walked hand in hand through Sky City, which they hadn't visited in three years. Compared to three years ago, the city was even more bustling and prosperous. The shouts of vendors on both sides, the noise of the crowds on the street, and the constant flow of traffic all revealed the vibrant and lively atmosphere of the city.

A few years ago, Feng Qingtian became the city lord. Because he had many affairs to handle, the position of head of the Feng family naturally fell to his younger brother, Feng Qingcang. Although it was not announced publicly, it was an indisputable fact within the Feng family.

As for Feng Wuxie, he had no interest in managing the family's affairs at all. He didn't even want to take care of his own Misty City, let alone the Feng family.

Although Feng Qingcang had never been the head of the family, he had been a prince for more than ten years, and he had a capable wife, Murong Wan, behind him. Therefore, he was naturally adept at handling all matters of the Feng family.

The two walked into the courtyard and saw Feng Qingcang and Murong Wan talking in the pavilion.

"Father, Mother." Feng Qinghuang ran over and hugged Murong Wan.

"Father, Mother."

Murong Wan looked at them with annoyance: "So you finally know how to come back? You've been gone for three years."

Feng Qinghuang nuzzled her mother's neck: "I'm back now, and I missed you, Mother."

Murong Wan patted her little head: "Alright, you're a grown-up now, why are you still acting so spoiled? People will laugh at you if they see you like this."

Murong Wan pulled her hand and sat her down: "Where did you and Aqi go? Tell your mother."

Feng Qinghuang leaned on Murong Wan's shoulder and recounted the places they had visited, the interesting things that had happened, and the people they had met over the past three years.

Rong Qi watched Feng Qinghuang with a faint smile throughout, occasionally chiming in on her words and promptly bringing her water when she became thirsty. The two elderly people listened with great interest, occasionally asking questions, and the group sat there for the entire afternoon.

As the sun began to set, Murong Wan patted Feng Qinghuang's hand: "Alright, you must be tired after you just got back. Have dinner and get some rest. Tomorrow, go to the academy to see Feng Nian and Feng Yu. They are much more conscientious than you two; they even come back to visit us occasionally."

Feng Qinghuang nodded happily: "Okay, Mother, we'll go to the academy first thing tomorrow morning. I miss my son too."

Murong Wan glared at her: "I didn't realize you missed them."

"Yes, yes, Mom, let's go eat."

The two women were arguing in front, while the two men behind them looked at them with utter doting affection.
