The two arrived at the foot of the mountain. Seeing that it was getting dark, they prepared to find a farmhouse to stay in. By sheer coincidence, they ran into the old woman from the mountain again.
The two originally wanted to look for other families, but they felt that the appearance of this old woman was too coincidental. However, when they saw the other families, they ignored them completely. Then they saw Xiaoxue running into the old woman's house and acting cute and charming towards her.
Left with no other option, the two returned to the mother-in-law's house.
I just want to find out who my mother-in-law is and why she appeared by such a coincidence.
"Grandma, may we stay at your house for one night? We can pay you, and we'll leave after one night."

The bed and bedding were all new, as if they knew someone was coming to stay.
Feng Qinghuang grabbed Xiaoxue's ear: "Xiaoxue, tell me honestly, what is your relationship with that old woman? Why do you listen to her so much? And why are you so familiar with this place?"
Little Snow tried to explain with its whimpering, but it couldn't speak. Feng Qinghuang could only understand some of its simple meanings; she couldn't comprehend anything deeper. Feng Qinghuang could understand most of the other beasts she had encountered before, but Little Snow was a bit special.
Years ago, when Feng Qinghuang wanted to form a contract with Xiaoxue, she was rejected, and no one knows why.
"Alright, Jiaojiao, since we're here, let's just make the best of it and see what our mother-in-law wants to do."
Anyway, Rong Qi always felt that her mother-in-law wouldn't harm them.
Feng Qinghuang nodded: "Alright, I'll listen to Aqi. I'll deal with you later."
Little Snow lowered her head and whimpered softly.
During dinner, Feng Qinghuang and Rong Qi tried to get information out of Granny Xue, but they couldn't get anything out of her.

She usually goes to the snow mountain to dig for ginseng and other similar items, then goes to the town to exchange them for money, which she then uses to buy vegetables and noodles. When asked how an old woman like her managed to live peacefully at the foot of the mountain for so many years, Grandma Xue remained silent.

The white-bearded old man ignored it and moved a small stool to sit next to Granny Xue.
"Are you sure that they will come back after they naturally grow old, get sick, and die in that time and space?"
The white-bearded old man nodded calmly: "Of course, have I ever lied to you? If it weren't for that little girl from my past life suddenly transmigrating, would I have had to wait so many more years? Everything was planned out; that was my ninth life there. After dying a natural death, I could return here and live out this final life in peace. Who knew that little girl would sacrifice her life to save an old woman?
