Chapter 223 Mu Qiangwei's Marriage

After confirming the candidate, Mu Weiliang wrote another letter, briefly explaining the situation to the Youlan Kingdom. The Youlan Kingdom replied that the person to be married off to Tianzhu Kingdom was the seventh prince of the Youlan Kingdom, You Xuanyi. They would choose a date, and the marriage would take place with a wedding procession upon arrival in the Youlan Kingdom.

Mu Weiliang agreed. After all, if an auspicious day wasn't chosen, it would be uncertain how long it would take for the princess of Tianzhu to achieve the purpose of a political marriage.

These past few days, Mu Qiangwei has received special care, and she has gained a little weight, no longer just skin and bones, and her small face has filled out. She now looks quite like a princess.

When Mu Qiangwei learned that the Crown Prince had agreed to her suggestion, she was overjoyed. Finally, she could escape this cage. She remembered the Crown Prince's kindness and, if possible, she would repay him in the future.

On this day, the agreed-upon wedding day, Mu Qiangwei was dressed by palace maids, her head covered with a veil, and led out of the palace to her sedan chair. Mu Qiangwei bowed to the Crown Prince, thanking him for his blessing.

The other princes and princesses were not seen, and the Emperor did not appear either. Mu Qiangwei scoffed coldly; from now on, she would live for herself and for her husband.

Mu Weiliang explained, "The seventh prince of Youlan Kingdom is said to be a decent person with good looks. I met him once in the secret realm, and he shouldn't be a bad person. Your journey there might lead to a new life."

Mu Qiangwei nodded: "Thank you for your kindness, Your Highness. I will remember it. I suppose I will not have the chance to return after this departure. Please take care, Your Highness."

Mu Qiangwei didn't say that she wanted to repay the Crown Prince's kindness, because she hadn't gone there yet, didn't know what the future held, or whether her life would be better than it was now. She could only silently remember the Crown Prince's kindness in her heart.

Mu Weiliang waved her hand, signaling the honor guard to set off. Time was already tight, and it would be bad if there were any delays.

As Mu Qiangwei boarded the bridal sedan chair, she lifted the curtain and glanced back at the palace where she had lived for over a decade. A single tear fell from the corner of her eye, marking the end of her past.

The sedan curtain fell, and Mu Qiangwei sat upright inside. Thinking of her father, the Emperor, she smiled bitterly. He probably didn't even remember who she was, or who her mother was. Yes, with so many children, how could he possibly remember them all?

Regardless of the outcome, this marriage alliance is a new beginning for her. Since her father doesn't care, she will forget about India.

Facing the unknown world, Mu Qiangwei felt both excitement and fear. However, since she had already come out, she would bravely accept it, even if it meant death.

In my next life, I wish to be a child in an ordinary family, with harmonious parents, loving brothers, and supportive sisters. I would not have to compete for favor, nor be manipulated by others for matters of family and country. Nor would I have to be saddened by the absence of familial love.

Farewell, India.

The wedding procession traveled for nearly seven days before finally arriving at its destination. The envoy sent to fetch her told her that the Seventh Prince's residence was ready and waiting for the bride to arrive.

Although Mu Qiangwei felt a little disappointed that the Seventh Prince did not come to pick her up, she thought that if she were the Seventh Prince, she would not feel much better towards his wife who came from another country and whom he had never met.

Immediately, Mu Qiangwei felt relieved.

"Thank you for showing me the way, sir."

The marriage procession followed the envoys into the city. Mu Qiang and Duanwei sat in their sedan chairs, not daring to look around. The envoys who came to receive her, however, did take a few more glances.

I thought the Kingdom of India would send a princess who would be rather unruly, but I didn't expect this princess to have such a good attitude.

However, is it just a superficial phenomenon, or is it something deeply hidden? Anyway, there's still a long time to go, and we'll gradually see the truth.

The marriage procession, amidst much fanfare, finally arrived at the Seventh Prince's residence. Although the Seventh Prince was reluctant to accept the marriage, he dared not disobey his father's orders. He figured he could simply place the woman in the backyard; she wouldn't be short of food.

But as he led Mu Qiangwei out of the sedan chair, the sensation in her hand sent a jolt through him. Her hand was so small! Was this princess even an adult? Had the Kingdom of Tianzhu sent their underage princess here?

This question lingered in the Seventh Prince's mind. Even after they finished their wedding ceremony, he was still thinking about it and planned to find a time to ask him about it later.

But when You Xuanyi remembered this matter and went to inquire, and saw the real person's true face, at that moment, his heart involuntarily fell for them.
