As she was leaving, one of the bodyguards, who had been standing just a few steps from her, moved, stepping to the side and directly blocking her way, glaring fiercely.
Shen Ruchu kept silent, tacitly approving her subordinate’s behavior.
Yu Ting glanced back and saw Shen Ruchu sitting nonchalantly.
Very well.
Yu Ting aimed a kick at the bodyguard’s sensitive area, only to have it blocked by his crossed hands as he bent forward, but then, Yu Ting used her elbow to hit him in the back of his neck.
The bodyguard grunted in pain.
Yu Ting quickly withdrew her leg, kicked the bodyguard’s calf which caused him to lose balance, then gave him a hard shove in the chest.
The bodyguard, underestimating his opponent, and owing to Yu Ting’s swift actions, the skirmish ended quickly.
"Get lost."
After giving him a cold glance, Yu Ting promptly walked off.
She stepped outside into the late autumn breeze, the winds of turmoil stirring within her. Yu Ting moved slowly, looking up at the sky.
It was a cloudless sky yet something was amiss.
She took out her phone, dialed Ning Xuan’s number.
"Do you have plans tonight? If not, let’s go out for a few drinks, on me."
