Chapter 146 - 145: Yu Ting and Yu Zijun_1

After watching Yu Ting for a while, Wei Qinghe took the initiative to make a suggestion.

It has to be said, regardless of Wei Qinghe’s acting skills, his voice was genuinely pleasant, full of character, not requiring any exaggerated enhancements. The pleasing tone was natural for him, making anyone listening to it genuinely delighted.

Upon hearing him, Yu Ting looked up at him. The handsome face of the man before her radiated seriousness.

Without a hint of jest.

"No need, it’s not so cold now." Yu Ting answered matter-of-factly, and she also did not have a habit of wearing other men’s jackets.

"Alright then." Wei Qinghe said, just as someone from the crew suddenly called him over to film.

After glancing in their direction, Wei Qinghe looked back at Yu Ting and instructed, "If you get cold, have an assistant bring you something."

Having said that, Wei Qinghe walked towards the shooting crew in his costume.

Yu Ting remained on the spot with two assistants.

As time passed, the shooting at the theatre proceeded normally. The director’s team asked Wei Qinghe to maintain a smile throughout this scene.

But Yu Ting, who had been watching from the sidelines, felt something wasn’t right.

Wei Qinghe was handsome, and his smile was quite captivating, but it lacked the purity that the sixth prince should exude.

It was a bit off character.

"Cut, there’s something wrong with your smile, Wei Qinghe. Let’s do it again," the assistant director announced after an NG (no-good take).

...

"Cut, Wei Qinghe, you didn’t smile earlier and broke character again."

...

"Cut."

Other scenes were okay, but this one kept getting NGs again and again. The assistant director’s voice of "Cut" constantly echoed in the theatre. His eyebrows were furrowed, and people around started to feel uneasy, and whispers like spring bamboo shoots after a rain began to emerge.

Listening to it, even Wei Qinghe seemed in a bit of a funk.

Yu Ting saw it and had a bad feeling about it. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"Who originally cast this character?" Yu Ting asked one of the assistants nearby in a quiet voice.

"This character was cast by the assistant director of this crew. He thought Wei Qinghe was good, suitable for this character, and then Wei Qinghe’s performance was also not bad, so he was selected," the assistant, standing aside and leaning heavily, answered, summarizing the situation of that day when Yu Ting was not there.

Suitable for this character?

Yu Ting caught onto that phrase, her hand holding her chin lifted a brow.

Unlikely.

Tap, tap.

The sound of footsteps grew clearer from outside.

Two men walked from outside into Hengdian. The first one still had his hair done, it was slicked back from when he was filming. He was about 185 cm tall, handsome, and worn in a casual grey and white outfit. He had a grey jacket over a white round neck T-shirt. His face was stern, creating a sense of distance.

He was extremely cold-looking.

He had a mini-cinnamon dog toy stuffed in his coat pocket. Now, with his hand in his pocket, he could occasionally squeeze it.

His naturally stoic face was now grumpier due to the threats from his boss to come here. His whole face seemed distant and unfriendly.

As he stepped in, he immediately spotted Yu Ting sitting nearby.

After pausing for a moment, his stoic face turned even grumpier—contempt.

He grunted and turned his head to leave.

Yu Ting: ?

Assistant: ??

Crew members: ???

After a few strides, remembering the past disputes, he felt it couldn’t just end like this. He made another about-face and walked straight towards Yu Ting. Then, he sat across from her and said in a small voice,

"You look so ugly dressed like this."
