Lu Nanchen stood slightly bent over beside Yu Ting, one hand protecting her head and the other gripping the basketball.
His slender, fair fingers held the ball, and because of the strength he was exerting, veins on the back of his hand were bulging slightly.
Once he was certain that he had caught the ball, Lu Nanchen relaxed a bit, then threw the ball back to the boys playing basketball.

The scent of his proximity wafted over to her. Yu Ting felt that a large shadow was cast by her side because of his towering presence. She turned her head to see Lu Nanchen standing next to her. He was so tall that while seated, she barely reached his thigh.
"What are you doing here? I thought you didn’t sign up for any events?" Lu Nanchen asked as he bent down, his eyes showing the usual calm demeanor.
"Ah... my roommate signed up, I’m waiting for her." Yu Ting replied, still surprised by Lu Nanchen’s presence, "Why are you here?"
Yu Ting hardly ever saw Lu Nanchen outside the classroom, the dormitory, or the cafeteria.
He mostly lived a life of routine.
"There’s a teachers-students friendly basketball match tomorrow afternoon. I came to practice with a few other teachers," Lu Nanchen said summarily.
In addition to the regular events, Chang Ming University’s sports meet also included friendly matches between teachers and students. As the elderly professors were not expected to participate, young teachers were chosen from several dozens of specializations. The students from freshman to seniors could sign up voluntarily.

Over a dozen male teachers gathered on the basketball court, briefly discussing their roles and strategies, and after a bit of ball practice, the meeting was over.
