Yu Ting had chosen a more conservative dress from the many suggested by her stylist, just for the company’s annual gala. She wasn’t used to wearing dresses in her daily life.
She wasn’t wearing much, so she might feel cold after getting out of the car and before entering the company. But once inside, she would be fine.
The aloof man beside her, upon looking at her, would naturally soften his gaze.
She was always beautiful.
Especially tonight, exceptionally beautiful.
But the tenderness was fleeting, as Lu Nanchen found the shawl, revealing her fragrant shoulder, quite disagreeable.
How could the dress be designed so unreasonably?
Why does the shoulder keep slipping off?

A reporter, who had been crouching for over an hour until his legs were numb, quickly dashed over upon spotting Yu Ting. His camera snapped incessantly at Lu Nanchen. He was amazed by this new face in Jiangqi City, while hurriedly snapping photos.
Despite his efforts, he couldn’t get a direct shot of Lu Nanchen. Growing anxious, the reporter began to increase his pace, hoping to run ahead to get a clear shot.
However, he was stopped halfway by VG Company’s security personnel.
"Ms. Yu said no paparazzi or reports about Mr. Lu are allowed. Please delete your photos," a burly security guard stood in front of the reporter, blocking his path and keeping a stern face while demanding the deletion of the photos.

Leaving the security details entirely to the guards, the couple unhesitatingly walked into the building without a backward glance.
Yu Ting couldn’t be bothered to turn around, and Lu Nanchen felt there was no need to.
When they entered the hall on the first floor, there was a makeshift stage, several tables placed nearby with assorted pastries and expensive drinks, and a five-tier glass tower in the center filled with high-class red wine.
Yu Ting’s arrival was met with cheers from the employees.

Wei Qinghe, who had arrived at the venue fairly early, stood in the crowd at a distance, watching the perfect pair. His hand holding the wine glass unconsciously tightened.
"Wow, Ms. Yu and Mr. Lu look so good together, Mr. Lu is so damn handsome. With such a comfortable look, he is probably all-natural, right?"
"Exactly, he’s so handsome, they are a perfect match!"
As the gossip beside him reached his ears, Wei Qinghe’s grip on the wine glass tightened even more.
