Chapter 236 - 235: ’The World the Little Princess Listens to’ (Added More for Monthly Tickets)_1

After running around, he was finally apprehended.

A remorseless killer.

Yu Ting thought to herself, stealing extra glances at Yu Ziweng.

Yu Ziweng was also gazing at her intently for a while, commenting on how much she had changed ever since her marriage.

Then, he looked at his brother-in-law sat next to him and raised his eyebrows, let out a surprised "huh."

Could it be...

...

They haven’t divorced?

He and Nanchen, along with Yu Zijun, were childhood friends. They knew each other’s personalities well; he knew Nanchen wouldn’t initiate a separation.

But Yu Ting might.

From his understanding of her...

She would likely not last more than four months before running back home and raising a fuss about divorcing Lu Nanchen.

How could this happen, given her love for charismatic, overbearing, and darkly charming types?

Trailing these thoughts, Yu Ziweng quickly made himself comfortable by the dinner table beside Yu Zijun.

Above him was his father, seated amongst his mother, Yu Ziweng, and Yu Zijun on the left, and Yu Ting and Lu Nanchen on the right.

Once everyone was in their place, the meal began.

Lu Nanchen was well versed in all the traditions and customs and respectfully made a toast.

The men occasionally clinked glasses, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

Yu Ting and her mother sipped on juice, sitting on the side.

An hour into the meal, Yu Ting and the men moved to the couch, while her parents and the house help began cleaning up.

Yu Ting wondered how these grown men had managed to stay young at heart all these years.

All three, sitting together.

First, her stern, silent older brother, Yu Ziweng.

Folowed by her sleepy, aloof middle brother, Yu Zijun.

And finally, her indifferent, usually silent husband, Lu Nanchen.

Yu Ting: ...

All three towering over 185 cm, their collective brooding presence made the atmosphere quite subdued.

"What’s the matter?" Lu Nanchen, noticing Yu Ting’s distracted expression, asked in a gentle tone reserved for his wife.

At this remark, both brothers instinctively looked towards Yu Ting.

Their collective gaze was impactful.

"It’s nothing," responded Yu Ting, shaking her head lightly.

Yu Ziweng withdrew his piercing gaze, swiftly getting up and declared, "Let’s not sit idle. Let’s explore the house, Nanchen."

He took the initiative.

This house was their common childhood haunt, filled with remnants of their past.

Nanchen rose, following Yu Ziweng curiously, intrigued about his wife’s past.

Yu Ting also stood up, curious about the place.

Yu Zijun was the last to get up, trailing behind them, leaving him the sole inhabitant.

The house was designed in a common European style with a white color palette, featuring a living room, kitchen, and restroom on the first floor, and four rooms and a study on the second. Yu Ting and Yu Ziweng’s parents slept in the master bedroom, followed by Yu Ziweng’s and Yu Ting’s rooms, with one reserved for guests.

The quartet first walked through the balcony that had excellent lighting and a scenic view, from which the road in front of the house and other premises were visible.

Finally, they came to a room tucked deep in the hallway. The door was an unsettling shade of pink amid the white, with a white signboard hanging on it, decorated with white lace around the edges.

’Little Princess Tingting’s World’

Yu Ting: ?

A sense of foreboding enveloped her.
