Currently sitting on Lu Nanchen’s lap, Yu Ting rested her hand on his shoulder. A familiar cramping pain erupted in her lower abdomen.
This body’s original owner didn’t know how to take care of herself. She had no dietary restrictions and consumed spicy and cold food in abundance. Previously, Yu Ting’s period pains would be unbearable, and her flow was heavy. She had spent three or four menstrual cycles trying to recuperate.
This was the first time she had experienced her period after growing closer with Lu Nanchen, and the pain was so intense that perspiration broke out on her palms and forehead.
She remained in the same position on Lu Nanchen’s body for a long time. The hand resting on his shoulder subconsciously gripped him tighter, pinching his slim and prominent collarbone.
"What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?" Lu Nanchen watched the woman in pain before him. His previously captivated expression was now replaced by anxiety. His face was tense, and his stained red lips contrasted starkly against his pale skin. He sat up straight and adjusted Yu Ting into a more comfortable position. "I’m taking you to the hospital now."
"I think it’s my period." After a calming breath, Yu Ting’s face suddenly turned paler. She got up from Lu Nanchen and walked towards the bathroom, her slippers dragging on the floor while one hand rubbed her waist from time to time.
Yu Ting’s statement stunned Lu Nanchen. His worried expression froze, and his tense body relaxed a bit.
He was a little bewildered.
Yu Ting had always avoided visiting him during her period.
This was the first time she hadn’t.
Lu Nanchen confronted his confusion by ruffling the back of his hair and then followed her into the bathroom.
The bathroom door was closed. Yu Ting was inside, dealing with the situation.
Terrible.
Totally terrible.
The amount was heavy and it hurt. It was as if her uterus was being crushed and rebuilt repeatedly, inflicting an excruciating pain.
There were no sanitary pads at Lu Nanchen’s place.
The weather outside was cold and windy.
Yu Ting, currently sitting down, was looking like she was questioning her entire existence: ...
She was starting to feel agitated and unhappy.
Lu Nanchen, who was outside the bathroom, knocked on the door.
"How are you doing? Are you feeling better now?"
Lu Nanchen standing outside seemed a bit panicked. He knew women had periods, he understood the ovulation process, the disintegration of the corpus luteum, and all the hormonal changes that caused the uterus lining to shed.
But he was clueless about the specific details and what type of action he should take now.
"I guess so, I am still alive." Yu Ting replied and attempted to stay still in a comfortable position.
"What can I do for you?" Lu Nanchen asked after a few seconds of silence. He still had an image of Yu Ting in pain in his head, making his heart clench with worry.
To worry.
"I need you to accompany me to buy sanitary pads." The heavy flow wasn’t stopping. It wouldn’t work if they didn’t buy any.

Half an hour later, Lu Nanchen parked his car outside a supermarket.
Once the car was turned off, Lu Nanchen sat in the driver’s seat, took his phone out of his pocket, and began to search online. His slender fingers quickly tapped several times on the screen, ’How to handle a woman’s period?’
A new page filled with numerous search results opened up, Lu Nanchen looked at the top answer.
’Drink more hot water.’
