Chapter 265 - 264: Song Zhan Accidentally Meets Audience_1

After courteously responding, Yu Ting and Song Zhan followed the woman, turning a few corners to arrive at a massive venue. There was a screen up on the stage, a host seated with a chair opposite her, a face-to-face sofa specifically for the invited guests.

On the side, there were several mobile and fixed camera stations, as well as a large fill light.

"Mr. Yu, this is where we are hosting our current interview show. This is roughly what the site looks like. Over there is your private dressing room. You can rest there before the show officially starts. I’ll show you there later," the company staff courteously informed him, waiting by the entrance for Yu Ting and Song Zhan to finish their sightseeing before leading them away.

Yu Ting had a brief look inside, but couldn’t find anything particularly interesting or attractive. It was just the typical setup for an interview show.

Occasionally, some staff members recognized Yu Ting and called out to him enthusiastically.

Yu Ting pleasantly responded to every greeting.

The atmosphere was harmonious.

Having had a few more glances around, Yu Ting left with Song Zhan and returned to the woman who had been guiding them. Under her leading, they went to the side dressing room.

A completely enclosed space.

Water dispensers and pastries were available. Everything was at the ready.

As Yu Ting sat down, he noticed a few sheets of paper on the table in front of him.

The woman pushed those sheets of paper towards Yu Ting with a cheerful smile: "These are the paper versions of the plan for this interview show, which contain some general procedures. You may have a look."

An electronic version had been emailed to Yu Ting’s personal email address right after they hung up the call on Saturday.

"Okay," Yu Ting responded. After chatting with her for a while, the woman prepared a cup of tea for him. Then she left to let him rest alone.

Yu Ting picked up the interview plan and gave it a brief read.

It was a 1-to-5 interview show, where the host would ask a question and multiple people would answer. There would be individual interview clip after each round of questioning.

All in all, it seemed rather relaxed, especially when considering the appearance fee that Wisdom Interview had paid.

"Pretty nice," remarked Song Zhan, who had been having a look around behind him. He sat next to Yu Ting, crossing his arms, "Just make sure not to screw up. While you’re up on stage, I’ll be sitting down here."

"Won’t mess it up," Yu Ting responded, casually leaning back in his chair with a smirk. He then started to fiddle around with the makeup received from the assistant, perfecting his appearance.

He propped his elbow on the table, leaned into the mirror, and started applying mascara to his eyelashes time and time again.

It was a joke; next, he would share the stage with Shen Ruchu.

With that thought in mind, Yu Ting continued applying mascara.

He would show her what youth had to offer later.

...

Time quickly approached to afternoon. All departments of the program staff were in position. Audience members who had bought tickets arrived in sequence. At one side, Song Zhan, who had left the dressing room a while ago, was now mingling amongst the crowd, prepared to personally keep a close watch on Yu Ting’s first activity. He chose a spot near the corner of the audience seats for easy movement.

Inevitably some of the crowd recognized Song Zhan and excitedly greeted him.

Seeing this, Song Zhan cheerfully waved back at them.

Unexpectedly, someone grabbed his hand and firmly shook it up and down.

"Mr. Song, it’s good to see you here. You must be working hard. It seems you’re always occupied, whether Mr. Yu is out or not."

Following two or three months, web users’ attitudes towards Song Zhan had changed quite a bit.

...

"Hello, Mr. Song."

...

"You’re working hard, Mr. Song."

Moreover, the expressions on everyone’s face were extremely serious.

"Keep it up, Mr. Song! Go for it! We’re all looking forward to it."

Song Zhan, who had been criticized for years for being "good for nothing" and was suddenly receiving praise: ...
